Jan 5-12. Thank you sir. May I have another...

Ah, the lovely city of Worceter.. I am sitting typing away on Lincoln Street right now.. I only work here though,I live in Oxford.

Firepower - you were my neighbor. I grew up on the top of College Hill, on the Quinsigamond Village side. I went to South High and Sullivan (for 8th grade only). Then moved to Charlton for a few years & got married. Then moved back to Worc. to a townhouse off of Grafton Street and stayed there for almost 7 years before moving to TX.

Nitsirk987 - Good old Lincoln street. You either work for an insurance company or a doctor.

BostonMickey - We keep skipping the "Digging in DinoLand" area. We have 2 kids and forget about it. We will need to make sure we hit it and let them blow off some steam (or sweat). Thanks for the story....

It's an easy area to skip and forget since it is not out in the open and you must go through the "slides" area of the Boneyard to get to it. It is, however, a nice spot to sit an rest while the kids dig. It has a canopy, so a lot of it is shaded and there is only 1 way in or out.

My very first trip to WDW was in June of 2000 (or was it 2001?). Anyway, it was HOT. My nephew and I discovered the boneyard and thought it was probably our favorite place in all of Disney at that point. He played and I sat while the rest of our group all went off to ride Dinosaur. When they came to meet up with us after, they were happy to sit with us for a while and just watch the kids dig. (My niece had joined my nephew in the sandbox.)

BTW...I'm another neighbor. I work in Boston (cold walk from South Station today), will be living in Foxboro soon (I'd rather forget where I live now) and grew up in Uxbridge (so all you Worcester-ites should know there that is.)

It seems so long since I last reported. Things got very busy. On with the report.

For the last few years, we have planned only a half day at MGM. This year was no different as we planned on seeing a select few attractions. We arrived by bus, which was a quick ride with no wait at the Lodge. We thought we would head straight to Indiana Jones, but the next show wasn't for another 45 min. It was a little bit of a bummer, but we started to continue on.

We had taken no more than 5 steps away when we saw Lightnin' McQueen and Tow Mater. DS2.8 was in heaven. We were surprised since we didn't know there would be life-sized McQueen and Mater driving around. We took some pictures and went over to the Star Wars ride. DS5.9 had waited for this for a year, since he was too short to ride it last year. I took him in and we only had to wait 2 min. before we were aboard. It was a good ride, and i think 5.9 enjoyed the theme store after the ride, just as much.

We went to Muppet Vision 3-D next. It was pretty good, but 2.8 didn't like it so much. It seems all the 3-D shows, loud attractions and dark attractions frightened him the 1st time around. He stayed through to the end of the show. Luckily, we saw Bozz and Woody when we got our of the Muppets and got some good face time and autographs, which the boys enjoyed.

It was nap time now. So I took 2.8 to a quiet area located near the exit of Backlot tour, while DW and 5.9 went on the ride. They said that it was interesting, but a little long. Catastrophe Canyon was the hit of this ride. Since 2.8 was still asleep, we walked down to the Narnia attraction. That was a little disappointing. We expected a little more than some movie clips and a brief appearance by the Witch. Seeing some of the props at the end was neat though.

We headed for lunch at the Flatbread Grill. It was good, basic food and we all enjoyed the meal. Then DSs wanted to run around the Shrunk the kids Playground. There was a lot of people here and a high possibility of losing kids with everyone darting around and in and out of the caves. We let them play for a while but had enough after a while. After missing Indiana Jones again, we headed to the parade. We made it on time to the Indiana attraction, but the crowd cut-off was the one group ahead of us. It was frustrating. By the tiem we got to the parade route a good amount of people were already congregating. We were able to find a place to view in the front row. We did have to politely ask a CM to move though. It seems that a guy had tried to retain her to help save a spot for his and his friend's families. It turned out to be one of the guys we stood next to at the AK parade. He seemed ticked off that the CM didn't "hold her ground". Unbelieveable! Oh well, we enjoyed the whole parade. It's always fun to see the characters, one after the other, in person. The favorites of DSs were the Star Wars characters and The Power Rangers.

We headed back to teh WL after the parade forr a brief rest and snack before continuing on to MK. A brief report on this will come later.
