Event description:
Private and unobstructed Illuminations viewing on Friday, January 3, 2003, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., with Disney catered treats and the company of other folks from the DIS board community.

Event details:
Menu: Old World Classics in Miniature (chocolate and pistachio cannoli, fresh fruit tartlet, vanilla cream filled pastry horns, chocolate eclairs, orange marmalade roulade, Italian style ricotta cheesecake, chocolate pecan pies), coffee, decaffeinated coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate.
Setting: UK Upper terrace, with wrought iron tables and chairs.
Organizers: DIS (and DVC) members Maddy and Janner, volunteering on a strictly break-even basis.

Cost per person:
22.50 for desserts, beverages, and private viewing location
1.35 for 6% tax
4.50 for 20% gratuity (required by Disney Catering)
1.80 for event guide cast member (required by Disney Catering)
30.15 per person total

Caveats:
First paid, first reserved. Payment deadline is December 15, 2002.
No more than 50 people may attend (this is Disney’s limit for UK Upper). We already have 32.
Park entrance not included. Must provide own EPCOT admission.
Absolutely everyone is welcome to join us, whether a DVC member or not.

That sounds really cool and wish we could be there but we will be there the first week of Nov & Dec. Hope you have a great turn out and a lot of fun.

This is going to be a wonderful way to relax and meet other DVC/DISer's.

When you go as often as all of us do, some things become routine, like guarding a bit of turf for the parades/fireworks. It's a pain, especially when the last minute arrivals seem to think that they can squeeze right in where you've patiently be waiting for an hour.

Last year, at DIS CON, I got to experience an Illuminations Dessert Party, and it was more magical than I imagined.

Disney does it right. From the beautiful tables laden with desserts, dimly lit with votive candles, to the delightful CM's, it was an evening I'll never forget.

I'm looking forward to strolling around, chatting, and sharing this night with all of you.

Good question. Dante says we enter to the right of Rose and Crown, so I imagine it's the closer one. Will be confirming this sort of detail for the attendees as time gets closer.

Hi all. We have 35 paid, so we're very happy with the turnout so far.
Also, dvcreg knows some of us can't open the pictures, and she asked the tech people if they could figure it out while she's on her trip, so keep checking back if you want to see what UK Upper looks like.
