i would think that a port day that the nursery may be fairly open...most people will go out to port, i would guess probably only 25-30% of the boat will pretty much stay onboard
There are many people that go on excursions and leave the little ones in the Nursery on port days so they may not be as empty as one would think. We left DD onboard from when she was 5-11 and never felt that she missed anything by not going into port.
You might be under-estimating how many people will stay on the ship for most of the day or a good part of the day, it's pretty high in Nassau. We'll only get off the ship in the morning to wander around, pick up our free stuff in the shops and then come back on board in time for lunch and then stay on board. But then that all depends on how high the percentage of cruisers are repeat cruisers, and repeat cruisers to Nassau.
