Jan. 29, 2012 Dream cruise

I'm curious how booked up this sailing is too. It is the only sailing recently I have noticed that had Florida Resident deals and Military deals offered.

It would be nice if it's not a full sailing. It increases some of our chances for getting a Palo brunch:goodvibes

We just booked this cruise yesterday for our 10th anniversary. Very excited since this is our first time on the Dream.

It seems as if there is something available in each category. I saw that the concierge cabins aren't much more expensive than our verandah cabin and now I'm tempted...
If we were alone we would upgrade without hesitation but our friends are staying on the same deck and I don't know if it would be impolite to move away from them.
The boat can't be that full because if you lokk at other cruises in January, they are almost twice as expensive.

I can't believe it's only a lttle over three weeks now, I haven't even bought plane tickets yet .

I just checked cabins tonight and only saw 7 or 8 cat. V's available now in concierge - 2 weeks ago there were many cat. T's and V's available. But there are still plenty of cabins in other categories available.

I was hoping to upgrade at the port, but since we are sailing with friends in 3 other cabins I don't think we'll all be able to upgrade at the port. But we'll still check.

I can't believe you haven't booked flights yet :scared1:, I'd be a wreck if I didn't have flights booked this close to sailing.

We were thinking about a 1 bedroom suite, but suddenly they were gone.
Not a big deal, as I'm happy with our original choice anyway.

I don't book flights as I work for an airline, we will fly stand by so it doesn't really matter when we buy the tickets, but it's getting time now, as I have to pick them up at our headquarters and I will be there only six more times until our vacation .

It's definatley a mystery how those 1 bedroom suites got booked so quickly. I was keeping any eye on them and the cat. V's.

That makes sense that you don't book a flight, but buy tickets.

I'm really looking forward to this cruise and keep thinking it's 2 weeks away and not 3 weeks away. :confused3

Spent a couple hrs tonight reviewing old threads on the whole Comfort Suites vs. DCL for Atlantis Aquaventure. It's my first time in Nassau and we've always talked about going to Atlantis sometime - pretty pricey to do it as its own vac so a day visit seemed logical. I can see where the CS route saves families a fair amount of money, but for just two people, the cost savings wasn't much to outweigh the less convenient DCL option w/ transportation & lunch included. So I decided we'll go DCL.
Chose to do this on this cruise (the 1st half of our B-t-B) instead of the 2nd as we're in port w/ a smaller ship Carnival Glory 1/30 vs. Norwegian Epic 2/3.

Today they are available again, very strange- maybe it's the website that keeps making mistakes?

I'll have to check again, since I haven't checked today. But when I was checking the other day I was even on Expedia and they didn't show any 1 bedrooms either.

Did you notice if the C. Glory is the only other ship in port with us that day? It will be weird being there with only us and 1 other ship if that's the case.

That's it - just two ships in port that day. My kind of port day!

We booked our pre-cruise stay at the Embassy suites (we originally were looking at the Hyatt MCO) as the price was right, especially when the perks were factored in.

If anyone else is staying there, please say feel free to say Hi if you should see me at the Manager's reception.
