Jan 27, 2008 - 4 night Wonder...shall I start?

Even though we have not used the DCL child care, I would not hesitate to use it. My wife and I would love to take our seven month old grand child on the cruise, but her mom is nursing so that does not work. Oh well, we enjoy our one day a week each babysitting. We stayed at SSR over New Years with them and had a ball. Our daughter teaches music in Kalamazoo public schools, yes there really is a Kalamazoo.

Haha, my husband is from Battle Creek. So we are very familiar with Kalamazoo :)

yes there really is a Kalamazoo.

I've been to Kalamazoo before :thumbsup2

Even though you repeat a dining room on the 4 night cruise, the menu is different and the extra night is a special themed night so it's not really the same at all.

What time is your Palo brunch. We are booked in for 10:30.

That's good to know about the rotation, thanks!
Our ressie for brunch is at 12 noon! Can't wait!

The cruisers on the Jan 26, 2008, 7 day Magic cruise are reporting receiving their documents.

That means that ours should be arriving very soon too :thumbsup2

another sleep done :teeth:

Only 15 more until we leave for Orlando:woohoo:

HI,

Is anyone going to participate in this? I have one that I am bringing and hanging outside my door, plus I've bought a bunch of Disney gifts to give to others, just wondering if I'm the only one??

what in the world is a fish extender? My Palo brunch is 10am! Has anyone recieved docs yet?

no documents here yet.

But I do know that all the cruises right before us have started to receive theirs, so ours should start arriving real soon:thumbsup2

I just recently heard about fish extenders for the first time.

They are basically things that look like shoe bags that people hang from the fish outside the cabin door.

I have read that sometimes people will get together and put little "gifts" in other people's fish extenders.

I know that I won't be taking part in that on this cruise but I'll certainly think about it in the future.

It's exactly what Cruisin said. I haven't heard of anyone participating on this cruise, so I'll probably just take my little gifts and like "Santa" put them in our extender for the kids as surprises :)

Well, we are down to 2 weeks, well actually 12 days, as we travel on Thursday the 24th. and get in around 2:30. :yay: We are going to MK on Friday and probably AK on Saturday. Is anyone else getting to FL early? No Docs yet but our TA said she was shipping them out last Tuesday we will likely all get them the same day, I don't know about any of you that have cruised before but I think in the past we have had them by now. Under 2 weeks seems like a close call.

That idea about gifts in the fish extenders sounds cool, but we won't have one this time I will have to make a note of it for the next cruise.

Glad to see some more newcomers on-board, we are looking forward to meeting you all, I'll probably be in my Hawaiian shirt and shorts (even if it's cool outside) looking white as a sheet from 4 months of winter with three frantic kids circling around us!! :lmao:

There is getting to be so many of us, has anyone thought of having a meet & greet on-board. Last year our Dis Meets group had a casual come and go in the lounge just outside Parrot Cay dining room and we got to meet a few people there.

Just something to think about, if anyone is interested in doing something we could just set up a time for a quick hello as everyone is touring around the ship the first afternoon.

We are flying out on the Friday morning before the cruise.

We are going to Universal Studios on Friday afternoon and also on Saturday.

We haven't been there for quite some time and thought we'd do that for a change.

I would think the documents will start showing up early next week.

Really even if they don't show up on time you don't absolutely have to have them with you at the terminal.

There are plenty of extra documents there that can be filled out when you arrive.

Always nicer to have those things all done ahead of time though.

We are going down just a day early on Saturday and are planning to take our daughter to the Magic Kingdom. At just four months my daughter won't know what's going on but I still can't wait to show her the "Happiest Place on Earth"!
