Is there a final list of rooms and people?
Is anyone interested in combining tables for dinner.
I called DCL and was advised (subject to change :rotfl2: ) that we were dining at 8:15pm. I know it is a late seating but if someone else is already eating late maybe it could work.
We have Palo's the 1st night and can't change until we get onboard, but I always enjoy having a meal with good friends.
Good luck to all on their respective voyages to our mutual goal.

Hi Kathy, Don't feel lonely I am still here:rolleyes1 I only have 2 more days of work. We leave super late on Wednesday. I hope to pack up Monday night. I have an interview on Tuesday morning:banana:   . So hopefully I will get some good news while on vacation. (So please keep me in your thoughts guys i am super nervous its been 6 years since I have done this.) After my interview I work late and then Wednesday I take my son to his ear Dr. hopefully we are done with tubes! So in other words I am keeping myself busy so the time will fly! I am just to excited.
Talk to you in the morning. I have to get some sleep.

Hi all, I'm Angela, Kelly's friend. My sister will now be joining Denise and I. I knew that Kelly had signed up for a meet, but she didn't tell me when or where, can someone tell me? This is my first and also my sister's first cruise, I'm really looking forward to it, but really sad that I don't get to hang out with Kelly.

Hi Angela,

I am so sad Kelly isnt coming but happy to know you guys are still coming along.
What is your sisters name??

we are meeting at 3 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge the first day (thursday) to meet each other.

Kelly also said she was doing the fish extender exchange, did she explain that to you ladies? If not here is a quick way to be involved with it.

Go to a party section fo a store, even a dollar store to get a gift bag which you can decorate disney theme or buy already decorated. Just make sure the handles on it are large enought to slide over a fish tha tis about 5 or 6 inches long and 4 inches high. Then people from pur group will put things in it, just small trinkets and goodies . Then you do the same in return to them.
People already have your oom on the list to deliver a treat to because Kelly was going to do this, so people will be looking for something to put their treats for you in. It is just a fun surprize for people during the cruise.

It is called a fish extender. an actual fish extender is a home made thing tha tlooks like an over the door shoe holder but with only 2 or 3 pockets for treats to be put in. Not very big, maybe 2 feet long ot less or 6 to 8 inches wide and tied off at the top by a ribbon or a dowel across the top with a ribbon tied to each end to hang over the fish.
The fish is to the side of your door.
Ask kelly to explain if you need. I sure hope you will join in the fun.
I will post the list for you in a couple minutes so you can see who si doing this and their room numbers so you can find them to put treats in their extenders if you participate.

It is NOT required, just a fun thing dis board people like to do as a group. My last cruise we had about 35 families doing this:goodvibes It took me two days on and off to deliver the goodies I had, but it was so much fun to go back to your room and find a surprize waiting for you once in awhile.

Looking forward to meeting you soon,

kathy

I posted an updated list for you (above post), hope it helps.

We arnt eating in the main restaurants this time or I would link with you. we just want to have a more relaxed time so we dont have to be anywhere at a certain time to eat. We have been so many times before we arnt missing anything we havnt done a bunch of times before.

It's good to know I am not alone yet:goodvibes

Sara, I wish you the best of luck with your interview:hug: That is so nerve racking!!

My husband is just now putting out resumes and interviewing for a new job, so I know the stress your under.

Good luck with the ear problems too. One of ours had severe problems when he was younger with ear infections too.

Good news for our weather on the day of sailing. NOW it is 0 chance of rain!!
YEAH!!  High only 65 but at least NO rain!!!

So bring a jacket to bundle up for the first evening but at least the sailaway party will go on as planned!:yay:

Remember what ever you wear to the ship that they will take a boarding photo of your family before you board the ship. Even if we don't like the photo we always buy the boarding photo because it is a nice way to start my scrapbook album for the cruise. One time we didnt buy it, and I really wish we would of because it is the only book without it.

well off to see what kind of trouble I can get into today, that is usually a pretty easy thing for me to do:lmao:

Hope to hear from you guys again today,

Kathy

Good morning everyone,

well they are still predicting 65 for thursday, so have a warm jacket for the sail away party and to stand up on deck 10 to watch us pull out:thumbsup2

If any of you like to watch for dolphins the only times we have seen them as we go out the channel they have been on the starboard side, the side the terminal is on. They can be hard to spot, so look carefully along the side of the ship, not off the front of it.

only 2 days to go!!

see you all very soon,

kathy

Welp I'm flying out tomorrow morning and I'll try to see you guys on the ship. If I don't then have a great cruise! I'll be spending a lot of time at the Cove Cafe with my laptop and probably at Diversions having a drink at night. Last but not least, I'll be picking up a few Cohibas in Nassau to enjoy up on Deck 10 at night under the stars. :)

Hi Fred,

I am around the quiet cove quite a bit so maybe I'll see you there if you dont make it to the meet.
I think I can recognise you by your photo, i will be looking for you.
It wouldnt be the first time I asked the wrong person if they were someone. I am not shy on the ship, i'll ask all the men sitting around there if they are Fred, wont bother me a bit.:rolleyes1

Hope to see you at the meet,

Kathy

WERE BACK !!

thankyou everyone for all the nice things we found in our fish extender and sorry I took it in a bit early the last night but i did find the treasures left by the door. It was alot of fun to come back to the room and check it. I hope those of you who did it for the first time had fun with it and will suggest it on your next cruise:goodvibes
I thought you ladies did an awesome job on your extenders:love:

we had a blast on the cruise and it was such fun running into many of you over the course of the cruise. For the couple of you who didnt make it to the meet, sorry we didnt connect. Hope you had a good time.

Sabrina, I was so happy we did get a quick meet in the theater, sorry your bus arrived so late, I think we would of had a great time visiting .

One last question for all of you,

How many rebooked another cruise?
I know George booked an Eastern, how about everyone else??

I feel so lucky to have met you all and I hope you had a great cruise too,

Kathy

8 hours plus 1 playing at a McDonalds. Ugh! Returning to regular life tomorrow, Double UGH.
Knowing that we are going back for a full week

Priceless.

Here is a link to all the pics. Some are from Disney so I disabled downloads :guilty:

We didn't book another onboards, but we are planning another cruise. We had a fabulous time, and getting home was so much better than the flight down. We had such a great week! I was so sad when we said goodbye to our servers on Sunday morning...when Das gave me a hug goodbye, I actually got a little teary!

George,
those are great pictures. :cool1: I enjoyed looking at them. I finally got mine down loaded and will post soon.

Hi Johanna, glad you made it back ok and had a great time.:goodvibes

Kathy

If you go to the gallery there is video as well. There is a button in the upper left of the screen that says "My Gallery". Enjoy:cool2:
My favorite character pictures were the ones with Capn Jack. He nailed the voice and physical mannerisms very well.

We so enjoyed meeting everyone from the board! It was great to keep seeing people around the ship. Talking with all of you in person. It seemed a much friendlier group of cruisers.
THANK YOU for all the goodies in our extender. I did not clue inthe family to what it was used for--first cruise we used it to identify the room! The kids were so thrilled to find the gifts--and we had fun doing the room hunt to pass out gifts.

We will download some photos--got some great underwater ones--including Mickey!

Joanna, wasn't Das the BEST! We enjoyed our conversations with him and meeting his wife. Jiri, his assistant was well intentioned and quite new ONE month on the ship, and some of that in hospital! I know he will work out well as he has a sweet personality and aims to please.

Thanks again, great cruise!

Mary Lee

Das was awesome! I know Das' wife works on the boat, but I never got the chance to ask where/who she is! We will definately request him again!
