I am going to try and remind them as soon as we get to dinner the first night so hopefully they will have something for DD.

On another note.....Is it customary to deliver the door magnets at the same time as the FE"s? Just wondering because for those who have a later delivery day does not give much time to show them off and enjoy them...
Would it be ok to deliver them earlier in the week seperate from the delivery of the FE's? I know my kids would get a kick out of having alot of magnets to decorate the door. Or at least WE would like to deliver them earlier.

We will have our FE up as soon as they let us near the rooms. My DD wil probably have it in her carry on. She is very excited about the FE exchange. She loves things we can do together.

We will have ours as soon as the luggage is delivered. Hopefully that is before 5 since we have early dinner and we need to change! When you see ours, you will know why it is not a good idea to bring in our carry on.

And I agree, I have the FE scheduled for Thursday but will probably deliver magnets on Sunday....won't have our name on it....but I guess I just place it on your doors! Only 9 of us on the magnet exchange so it isn't so bad.

And a HUGGGEEE thank you to Kellie about the tip of laminating it at Kinkos/FedEx Office! I did it after DD's dance class and it came out AWESOME!!!! Sooo happy about them now! And DD had a balloon (from Wendy's....yeah not really mom of the year but she was hungry and it was fast!) and lost it in their store. Started to cry and one of the employees rushed to her and got a ladder to get it down from her...yes one of those cheesy restaurant balloons. I am forever grateful and will definitely go back as they were super nice.

You could just stick a little post it to the magnet to say who it's from..if you stick it on the back of the magnet and then put the magnet on the door it should stay there until the recipients get it. Mine have a sticker on the back to say who it's from...

You can deliver magnet exchange magnets whenever you want to!

Kinkos/FedEx is my new best friend! I had my magnets done there and also had the activity books I made for the kids spiral bound there. They are fast too!

I got a call this afternoon that my grandma has become very ill while visiting my aunt in South Carolina. I'll be working like a fiend through tonight to get as much done as possible before leaving in the morning for the long drive down. Magnets are all ready to go, adult FE's are complete and kid FE's should be finished before the end of the night, all our clothes are staged and ready to be put into suitcases. I'm so out of sorts, I hope I don't forget anything important! I'll come home Monday night, and will only have two days to wrap things up before heading down to Florida.

At this point, I have no reason to anticipate any change to our cruise plans. Making a weekend trip to see my grandma will put me at ease for being away for 10 days, 7 of them on a ship. definitely in our prayers Alexis and hopefully a weekend visit will set your mind at ease. If you forget something all the more reason to go shopping right! thats my philosophy anyways

has anyone with children under 3 years old made reservations in the nursery? i had been debating it and finally made a reservation for Tuesday morning and Thursday night for a couple hours each. Thought I would bring him Thursday night after he finishes dinner so DH and I could enjoy a relaxing meal. Just curious if anyone else from here will be using the nursery at those times?

I'm sure he would enjoy the older kids clubs with his cousins but he will only be 2 and a half and not really potty trained so don't think he will be able to go there with them.

I am sorry to hear your grandma is not doing well. We will remember her in our prayers.

It sounds like Lilia and Alyssa might get along great.
I hope the list helps some on here, but posted mainly as I was reading a few others talking about their incredible checklist so I posted mine simply to get ideas from those who have them of things I should add and might be missing and think others might like list too. I have used this one for a few years, adding one or two things to list ever now and then. Latest best idea was to take small extension cord for limited stateroom outlets. I have been on many cruises and is always only 1or2 in room but haven't taken one before this trip and will take now whenever I go on a cruise. The list has helped me not worry if I missed anything or forgot to turn down heat, etc so I don't spend the first day of trip wonder what I missed or forgot to do before. I hope you have a pleasant weekend and able to spend some time with your grandma.

I'm so excited to be on a 3-week vacation that I'm speaking French! Mais oui!

But all this excitation must be balanced by the fact that my train for NYC is leaving in 68 hours and nothing's ready.

I've decided that I shall remain in a happy vacation mode... Frenetic, but still happy and smily!

I still have a lot to figure out, like how I'll get from the Orlando Amtrak station to the Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport, so I guess it's Google time! I won't book anything yet, however, because I'll maybe get lucky and find someone on the train who wants to share a cab or even give me a lift!

I've always relied upon the kindness of strangers. Maybe I'll get a streetcar named Desire!

OK, plenty of clothes to wash and pants to have altered (why are they only making pants for giants? ), so I bid you Good day!

can anyone confirm if the hair dryers on board are any good? I have heard they are useless and have now drying power.

We watched the Port Canaveral webcam as the Magic left port yesterday soo excited for next weekend!!! It seemed to have left a bit late, hopefully we leave on time as i like to watch the sail out before going to dinner.
