Jan. 22- 29 , 2011 Western Caribean Cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

One suit for DH here too...he's not happy having to wear anything dressy so I'm happy he's at least bringing one...probably go no jacket for Semi formal with just a nice dress shirt and tie..we'll see...:thumbsup2

My DH is the same. Unthrilled about wearing a suit...:sad2: I think he wore just a dress shirt & tie for semi-formal last time...

My DH will be wearing just a shirt and tie for both nights. No jacket. Now to convince my DS to leave his jacket...lol. I need the packing space for shoes and FE stuff!!! lol.

so just curious but am i the only one that is way behind this Christmas? I am almost done shopping but have done no wrapping, my tree is up but thats about as far as I got and I have yet to mail a Christmas card as i am still in the process of making them. :scared1:

I think this trip has taken over my life but im ok with that.
1-1-1!!!

You're definitely not the only one...I have my cards written, but not sealed or sent yet...had a freak out about that yesterday.

Just finished the tree last night, as we didn't have garland that I liked for it, so it's been sitting there half finished since the first weekend in December.

I did manage to bake some shortbread and gingerbread, but there are still cookie trays that need to be cleaned from when I baked them on Sunday. :scared1:

However...all this being behind doesn't bother me at all right now because...

THE HUBBY TEXTED ME AT WORK TO TELL ME OUR CRUISE DOCUMENTS ARRIVED!!!!!!!

I am so beyond excited I can't even sit still...:dance3:

37 days to go, it's almost too good to be true!!!

AAAHHHHH!!! I need to leave work NOW to see if our cruise documents are in!!! :yay: And feel free to bring any extra shortbread you have on the cruise! I'll be happy to help you get rid of it! :rolleyes1

I hear that!

Our cruise documents arrived on Monday...I'm surprised us Canadians received it faster then US citizens. Ours were purolated so that could be a factor. I was actually worried about getting them on time for the cruise since every other mailing we received from DCL was about 4 weeks delayed. For example: I received a reminder notice aobut final payment about 3 weeks after it was already due! LOL
The count down is definitely on at our house and as soon as Christmas is over and done with....I will be beyond excited..woo hoo!!:cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Welcome all newcomers! We have an excellent group onboard!!!

We just got our cruise docs today! Doing the happy dance!!!!

Hmmm... I just went back to shake my mailbox all over, nothing. :confused3 I must not be Canadian enough! :lmao:

Or maybe the cruise documents go to my travel agent first? I'm afraid to email her yet again, there's a good chance she'll file a restraining order on me!

I'll just casually mention this over to her on Twitter. :rolleyes1

Oh, and and a big gingerbread-scented :thanks: to Tinkerkell123, Cheechow, kaj1436 and Lokkabear for being reassuring about my wardrobe dilemma! Or perhaps I should thank your non-fussy spouses!

I mean, it's not like for you, ladies, I can't just accessorize my outfit with a feather boa and a pair of satin gloves... Or can I? :scared: Nope, nope I can't!

So I guess I'll go tie shopping then. At least that's easier to pack!

And you know what I just realized? Despite doing this adult-only trip with 2 friends, I'm really looking forward to see all your kids, their beaming smiles, some in awe and others completely excited. :goodvibes

And after taking this all in, I'll take refuge at the adult-only Café, of course... :rotfl:

If you accessorize with a feather boa and a pair of gloves, I will pay your bar tab. We need a new source of warbrobe-related excitement now that Chrisse has decided to wear a dress to dinner! :lmao:

I do believe that if you have a TA the documents go to them and then they send to you...is that everyone else's experience?

I have not received my documents yet either. I am just going to blame mine on the snow since I have no TA. Let us know when you get them so I know if I should panic or not.

I think with just the right boa you would be fine. Make sure it matches your tie though! I would hate for you to clash!

I am doing it for your own good! Trust me, it would not be a pretty picture!

now Chrisse you can go to dinner naked again and just sit with GiddyRino and his boa and satin gloves and i am sure no one will bat an eye at either of. Heck its Disney Im sure these things happen all the time lol

i do believe docs will go to your agent as that is how it works in my office and ours came purolator to. Im sure with the crazy weather that we have all been getting, some are just delayed. Either that or you are both getting so many Christmas cards and presents that they have to ration how much your poor mail man can carry in one day. :confused3

You can only escape to Cove Cafe if you take me with you!! That, or I sic my DD on you and that child NEVER stops talking! ;)

Me too!!

DU is our TA and they said the documents would come straight to us, and lo & behold, when I got home (first, thankfully) THERE THEY WERE!!!! :dance3::dance3:

All I can say is my Mail Carrier better be delivering our documents tomorrow or else.... he can say goodbye to his Thank you Christmas Tip. :rotfl: Tomorrow or Saturday he will think I am standing at the mailbox excited to see him. :dancer:

LOL! You guys are so funny! I love going onto the thread and reading all the conversations!

So how much snow are our Canadian friends getting? We've been getting a good dusting every morning here in NJ....and I'm already tired of it! :)

OK I know this has been said before....in several of these 84 pages....but DH and I decided last night that since we are getting in at 2pm the day before, it really wasn't worth it to head to Disney for that night. We have annual passes but I doubt DD will nap that day and it probably isn't worth pushing her to Magic Kingdom for a couple hours. Plus last time we brought her on the Magical Express it was a nightmare because she just spent 3+ hours stuck in a plane....plus the time stuck in the airport....needless to say we weren't popular on that bus ride. And you need to wait until the bus fills up. So anyway, we're going to stay by the port instead....where are you all staying? Any good deals? Not sure if we're going to rent a car or get a car service right now. Any good car rental deals?

We have SO MUCH snow it isn't funny! The night before last it snowed 8 inches overnight! And we had at least that before then. It also snowed all day yesterday! We have so much snow and the worst part is... My husband and his dad have a road maintenance company and they are busy plowing snow.... well I went to the office yesterday and got STUCK in my own parkinglot! Yes! The one that has road graders, back hoes, tractors, and verious other snow removal equipment! I was so stuck DH had to come back and rescue me! The good thing is that he plowed my parking lot for me after that...lol.

We let DCL do all our bookings which turned out to be SO MUCH CHEAPER! They booked us a great flight which gets us to the airport 15 mins before our room opens up at the MCO Hyatt!!! They didn't charge for the room and if I were to book the same flights myself with expedia.ca, I would pay $600. more than I did for flights, transfers, insurance and taxes put together! So we are staying at the MCO Hyatt and taking DCL transfers and from what I hear, they are both nice.
