so if anyone gets an upgrade on board should we have a system to find out where the new rooming listings are?

Maybe if we are all doing the first meet we could have a list of the rooms that changed?

That works for me! So hopefully everyone can make it to the 3:00 meet, but it will be "mandatory" for anyone doing FE's just in case. At least 1 person in each family will need to at least drop by to make sure there are no updated cabin numbers...

What do y'all think?

That sounds good to me. Are you going to have a wipe board on your door? Maybe those who don't make it could stop by your cabin and leave you a note. If you weren't planning on having one, I will have one, if you would like me to volunteer my door. We wound up missing our DIS meet last cruise because of how late we got to the port, and we found out our room number had changed when we checked in, so I was very worried we wouldn't get something that was left for us. I went out very early the first morning to deliver everything with a note about our cabin change. Luckily, there were no problems.

Sounds like a good plan to me! Now where was the meeting place again?? I think it was the lobby but I have never been on the ship so is it going to be easy to find?
When it gets closer to sail date we need to recap all what is planned and what's going on for all the forgetfull people like myself!

Definitely! I will be sending out a ton of info to everyone signed up for meets & FE's & such. Also will send along the port scavenger hunt I did up and a Hidden Mickey's document (just for fun) that I just swiped from the 10/30/10 thread!

REMINDER: Sign up for Fish Extender participation ends on 11/24/10!!! You will still be able to sign up for meets & scavenger hunt but no more FE sign-ups after 11/24!!

sounds good to me DS should may be napping but DH or DMIL can watch him if he is. my bags always seem to be last on board so i wont be busy un packing

i will have a white board on my door to if need be.

I was taking a look at the room map last night and most of us are on decks 6 and 7 with a few exceptions so delivering should be pretty quick and easy!

I think the first date meet is at the Promenade Lounge on deck 3 right?

Also from Ontario here...my daughter and I are going on our first disney cruise jan 22...can't wait. I have been looking at all of the posts and lists...so much to learn and such great advise from the disney vets!!!!

Welcome Missie68. We are from Ontario as well. Whereabouts are you? We are in Brantford, near Hamilton and Toronto. How old is your DD? Mine will 3 and 5 when we cruise. This is our first Disney cruise too. We are all very excited. Should be great fun! Hope you can join us for some of the fun we have planned.

We are soooooo worried about it being COLD for our cruise.....
That we bought warm pjs last night my daughter bought matching, miami dolphins.

And i bought matching mickey.

i will have to find some sweat pants for the guys........

I guess ya'll candians are not too worried it will be too cold for ya!!!

i'm sure it will be warmer there then it will be here at that time of year but i sure hope its warmer then it was this past January as it was darn cold until we got into the US virgin islands.

LOL! I wear shorts to bed even at -40°C! I sleep with windows open, Ceiling fan and Standing fan on! In summer I crank the AC so my room is cold. I can not sleep when I am hot! It is roughly 0°C in the daytime and -8°C ish overnight. This is increadibly warm for November for us. I think even if it is around 15°C (59°F) we will be in shorts and warm.

How cold was it last year?

we sailed out of fort lauderdale and it was rainy would guess around 10C at best, i think orlando had frost. it stayed cold and rainy for the first whole day at sea and then got nice once we got south enough to start hitting islands. Luckily it was a 10 day cruise so we still had over a week of great weather even with the bad start.

Well even at this temp I am still in flip flops with my jeans and just a light jacket.
