See you at The Stack on Deck 11!!! :cheer2:

Hi there! Can't wait to go...my family is from Bristol and Warren. Moved to Swansea just a few years ago.

Wow..that's a big group!

Does anyone else have late dinner seating? I am worried about my sometimes grumpy 4 year old getting through late dinner seating. I will feel much better if there are other kids her age around. I was just reading my Passporter and it said most families with young children are at early seating. I requested early but have been waitlisted since early June. Is anyone else going to be in the same boat? Well, of course we will all be on the same boat  but I mean in the same situation.

Stepmom3 You'll probably be able to change to early seating if you go directly to the matre'd (sp?) once you board. If not, try to give your little one a heavy late afternoon snack along with a nap and hopefully that will do the trick. My DS10 and I are trying late seating for the first time cause we give in to temptation and splurge on a late afternoon snack(usually pizza and ice cream on the pool deck) and therefore ruin our appetites for early seating

For those of you crusin in January, 2005, have a super duper time and enjoy - waiting to hear of your trip reports

stepmom2, we too have been waitlisted for early dining and our 3.5 year old dd isnt going to be too happy with late dining. We had late dining on a previous cruise and it worked great with the adults and our older kiddos, but not so great for my preschool aged ones. You may be able to get it switched once you get on board, or the late time may just work out great for you.

No documents for us yet. We are flying in day before (never know about Pennsylvania weather) and staying near downtown disney.

This is our third Eastern cruise so we havent booked any excursions and will just do some beach/shopping time on our own. This is going to be our laid back, not do a whole lot cruise.

Still dont have a cabin assignment either. Oh well, just so long as we get on the boat.

Jeanne

Hey Stepmom-

We'll be at late dinner with you. DD5 and DS9 along with our friends who have a DS3 and DD7.

We took ourselves off of the early seating waitlist because many people said that it was tougher to get to early seating and we wanted the kids to better rested and behave better during the shows rather than dinner.

But that's just us!

See you at late seating unless you get lucky!

can anyone help me with any information about buying bottled water on the ship? I hear there was a package of some sort??
I know they said to bring it on board ourselves but we are flying in and staying in the hotel in the airport so it will be hard to bring bottle water on the plane with all the weight rules.
(We need bottled water for medical reasons.)

Also is there a luggage limit??I know 2 per person for the plane. but what about the ship?
Our TA is terrible, she is giving us all the wrong info or none at all.
Thanks

Ellie, there is bottled water package that can be delivered to your stateroom. 24 bottles of Evian is $30.00. Just call room service. There is a luggage limit, but if you can bring it on the plane, you can take it on the ship. Fortunately, the ship does not weigh your luggage and charge you the exta fees. Two per person and a carryon is fine. No worries. We have found that Disney can take care of almost anything.

Bottled Water is $30 for 24 bottles. They will deliver to your room.

As far as a luggage limit, I believe the only limit is what you can fit in your room!

I hope that helps.

Responding to some earlier posts... We also used Dreams Unlimited, but haven't received our documents yet. I'm in desperate need of new luggage, so that is on my agenda for today so I can start some packing. Next weekend is my only free weekend before the cruise, because my DD turns 10 on the 15th and she is planning a home spa / makeover / slumber party that weekend. We are flying in on 1/21 (my birthday) and staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge the night before.

I just made all my REAS reservations, and booked parasailing for me & DD and the fishing excursion for DH at CC. At least I can cross a few things off my checklist!

Thank you all for all your help!

I am really getting excited but still have not packed yet.
I have started to put things aside but that is as far as I have gotten.

Monday I will call my TA from hell and see if she has heard anything.

Is there a deffinate meeting set for us all to gather and meet????

Looking forward to meeting all of you
Thanks again

Hi all!

I just booked our shore excursions:

St. Maarten - Golden Eagle Catamaran
St. Thomas - Atlantis Submarine

I'm soooo excited....just think....we'll be onboard in just three weeks!!! :Pinkbounc

I would like to set up a meet also. It would be great for our kids to meet up before they go into the clubs. My daughter is painfully and shy and it will be even worse if she doesn't make a friend before going into the clubs.
It sounds like quite a few of us are working on birthday parties this month. My DD turns 4 this Friday. We are having a party on Saturday at a local equestrian park, with 2 real horses. I maybe be crazy trying to attempt this party with 3 & 4 year olds, but its too late now!
Happy packing everyone!
Jill :flower:

We are doing the atlantis too. what time are you going?

stepmom let us know how you make out with the party. sound like fun
and alot of work

we will be celebrating my parents 53 wedding ann on the ship(the 27th)

I will be on the Jan 22, 2005 Magic Cruise and was thinking about getting a quick hold'em tournament (low stakes...like $20 one time buy in) around 3 in the afternoon on the second day at sea. I am travelling with my DW, 2 DD and my Sister & Brother In-law and their children. Both wives have given their blessing to the game :cheer2: , so I currently have two players. I would probably want to keep the game to a maximum of two tables (8-20 players). This would keep your time commitment down to a few hours. The "blinds" will also be managed to keep the games moving along.

Anyway, I thought that it might make for a little "boys" time while on the ship. Leave a message on this board if you are interested, and I will bring my chips and find a place and specific time to get together.

Since I know that this board is dominated by the fairer gender, please let your husbands know about the game if you think that they would be interested. :cool1: :thewave:

Note from wife: (newtodisney)
This could be a guys dis meet. My sister (firsttimemom) and I were thinking about Tea at Palos during this time if any ladies would care to join us.

Just checking in based on a suggestion from Piper. We have a decent size group (14) from Ohio going on the Jan. 22 sailing. My parent's are celebrating their 40th anniversary, so we booked 4 staterooms. In addition to the anniversary, my nephew's 6th birthday is on the 22nd, and my dad's 69th birthday is on the 25th. So lot's of reasons to party.

My parent's and a brother are in one room. My wife, me and two DDs (6 & 4) in one room. The third stateroom has one of my sisters, her DH and two DS's (6 & 4). Finally, my other sister, her DH and their 7 month old DS are in the fourth cabin.

It's a first time for Disney Cruising for all of us. However, 5 of the 9 adults have a cruise under their belts.

We did just have a decent surprise. We booked GTY Cat. 12 and just talked to my travel agency (cruisesonly) today to find out we were all assigned Cat. 9 on deck 2.

I hope everyone has a healthy and wonderful cruise!

Newtodisney What a great idea.....I'd love to meet for tea at Palo's while the "boys" are playing poker. It'll just be me and my DS10 on this trip so unfortunately we have noone to add to the poker game :smooth:

Enduke I just booked the Atlantis excursion today and the only time left was 12:50pm so I took it. I was a bit bummed as we wanted the 10:15am slot. I'm gonna keep checking with the DCL shore excursions desk to see if they have any cancellations for the earlier time. It'd be great if you could join us! :)

Joel110 Congrats on the upgrade! :Pinkbounc

We've been on Deck 2 for all 4 of our Disney cruises and I can tell you it's a great location. Close to the restaurants and shops and also easy access to the gangway when we're in port. Just hope with all your "celebrations" you won't keep us up all night with your partying ;) :p

My husband enjoys Texas Hold'em and would most likely be up for a little tournament! WORLD POKER TOUR hits DISNEY MAGIC!

OK- I am still not worrying! But how many now have their docs?

I'm sure mine will come at the last possible minute if the service from BJ's up to this point is any indication!

I want to know if I should start bugging them yet or not!

Thanks!!! :grouphug:

PS- our countdown clocks are getting smaller!!!

No documents for us yet, booked through AAA again, and we usually dont get them til two weeks out.
