Jan 22, 2005 Eastern Cruise MAGIC Anyone?

forgot to mention that we are staying at the Best Western Oceanfront resort in Cocoa Beach for the two nights prior the cruise departure date. Then after the cruise, we are heading for Orlando for a few more days of Disney fun and Universal Studios.

And still so excited about cruising for the first time!! DH and I haven't stopped talking about this trip! The only thing left to get it our plane tickets.

Oh and another question. How much more difficult does it make it if we don't have passports to board If we just have our d.l. and birth certificates, will it take longer?? Thanks!!

Well, I made my finale payment, and this will be the last thing I charge to our Disney Visa. I get 6 months to pay it off, and don't want to put anything else on it.

Got the Royal Caribean credit card for our cruise next November, should be able to rack up some shipboard credit money by then.

Also, I printed off the excursion page from Disney and faxed them so that we have them reserved.

We are doing:

St. Martin - Certified Scuba Dive @8:30am
St. Thomas - Doubloon Sail & Snorkel @ 12:15pm
Castaway - Float & Tube Rental for 2 of us.

We have been to these destinations before, so keeping it to a minimum.

Can't wait!

O.k. We jumped on the band wagon and made our final payment. I have never been so thrilled to spend a big chunk of cash. LOL

All paid up here too! Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

I added REAS at the last minute, which bumped us up to an extra $50 in rebates, so the add on really is only $289 (at least that is how I sold DH on it  )

We are staying at AKL the night before (1/21), which is my birthday.

Agotta - we are from Ashburn...small world. We are flying United from dulles Fri afternoon.

I still need to look at the excursion lists. We plan on doing most on our own, but want to parasail at CC.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the good info, but we have to cancel our cruise. I got a new job, YEA!!!, but unfortunately we won't be able to afford the trip now. Anyway, thanks again! Oh and have a great time everyone!!!

Amanda

Amanda; Good luck on your new job. We will miss you on the cruise. Thanks for hanging out with us for a while.

Congrats on the new job, Amanda!

Bummer about the trip though! Now you'll just have to do an even better one after you've been at the new job for awhile to make up for it! Good luck!:D

My wonderful DH just surprised me with a Wonder cruise that departs on December 9th. I am still in complete shock and disbelief! It is amazing to think that we will be cruising in just over a week :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

This is an early anniversary present (15 years on December 23rd), so DS7 will not be going with us. I must admit, I feel a little guilty doing DCL without him :guilty: . However, knowing that we have this Eastern just a few weeks away definitely puts my mind at ease, and will let me enjoy a Konk Kooler on Serenity Bay. We have been on three other DCL cruises with DS, and this is the first time we have ever been to Serenity Bay!!!! Wow! This will be a very different type of cruise for us. :cool1:

Did I say I had a wonderful DH??????????????

Piper- someone told me about this on a totally unrelated board. I thought *hmm* I know a Piper on the disboards. What an awesome surprise! Don't even begin to feel guilty. Just enjoy!

And if you go to Palos, ask for Michael as your server. He's awesome!

What a great hubby!!! Have fun and a drink for all of us!

So totally jealous! Wow, I might have to print this and leave it on hubby's desk! LOL

Hi, we are on the Jan 22 cruise. Have 4 yr old and 7 yr old DDs. Our oldest loves to snorkel and is pretty good at it. We are looking for snorkeling trips that are reliable but not operated by Disney. Disney won't let 4 yr olds on these kind of trips. Our daughters have both been on all-day catamaran sails and loved it. So we are trying to find some way of doing this. Our main fear, of course is missing the boat.

We may end up going to St. John for the day, probably will unless we can find
an independent operator who is recommended...anyone know anyone?

Or has anyone ever gotten around the age thing where only 5 and up can go???

Susan

I hope Piper is having a good time. We're not jealous.

I talked to Debbie at DCL on Wednesday. She said that we are sailing full. Time to get all those reservations made. :boat:

Hi everyone. We are back and, yes, it was soooo wonderful. DH treated me like a queen with all kinds of surprises like champagne at sail away and roses in the cabin. I was waving like crazy when we went past Two Palms.

I posted a report on the trip report board. It is long, but if you are DCL obsessed like me, you might enjoy the part about watching Captain Henry dock the ship in Nassau or meeting him at the CC party.

I cried when we left CC, but I know I am so very lucky to be headed back on board so soon. Wow, we are really close!

Welcome back! Glad you had a good time. The Magic looks beautiful this morning (and every morning). I can't wait to get there.
