Jan 2011 Start planning

We are planning to return in January 2011. The kids will be finished with college, and we're going to WDW to celebrate.:woohoo::cheer2:

We stayed at POFQ last year. Although it was a nice room/resort, the bed was too small for me and DH. We live in NM, so staying at CSR seems redundant, even thought it has a queen-size bed.

I suggested going deluxe and now we're excited for AKL. I'm thinking about 1 queen + bunkbeds but my nearly 6ft tall son might not like scrunching up to sleep. Oh maybe he'll adjust because it's Disney! :lmao:

Can't wait!

In 2011 I have to be back for Jan 11 start of school. I was thinking we would stay at POR from Dec 28 - Jan 10. In 2010, if your check-in date falls within the peak season, even one day, you will pay peak season Dining Plan prices for your entire stay. This would add $24.00 per day for 10 days for an extra 240.00 for our family. So then I was considering going to Universal first then moving to POR on first day of value season but I would prefer to stay the whole time at POR so I guess I will wait and see what the 2011 dining rates are.

It looks like we will be going Jan 6 -13! My DH has lots of Hilton Honors points that we will use for the hotel, which will make our vacation cheap!!!!! I am looking into staying on site for a night or two though. It will depend on if I can get a pin or special deal and how much money we can save up by January 2011!!!

We are planning too - Just decided last night and my 70 year old parents are going to join us a SS in a 2 bedroom if we can get a good deal. Heading out on Jan. 21-29th. We have 2 days off from school so my son and I will only miss 3 days.
