Room only deposit is one night cost plus tax on the one night.

We're going for the marathon in January and staying for the following week. We've already booked our rooms. The advantage to booking now is that the travel agent knows when the new deals are coming out and will automatically rebook you so you don't have to keep checking. One morning you'll check your email and find the email saying they've saved you hundreds of $$$$ and you didn't have to do anything!

Was trying to check some prices at the online reservation system and it is down. I used to get excited thinking maybe they are getting ready to release Jan code. Now I just figure their reservation system is not stellar and just isn't working again.

I think we've got at least 3 weeks more to wait. They aren't going to release the Jan discount while the Oct-Dec discount is still available for booking. They released the Oct-Dec discount early this year, as soon as the Aug-Sept free dining expired rather than waiting until mid-Aug as usual, so I'm hoping they'll do the same and release the Jan offer as soon as the current deal expires instead of waiting until November.

We have already booked our airfare as well! We got an amazing deal from Minneapolis! To fly from our home city in Canada it would have cost nearly $2000! We got our flights out of MSP (a 6 hr drive away) for $620! I did book a room only at POFQ but only because I know it is a very popular resort! We REALLY want to stay there this time! Come on Disney! Bring on the codes!

The current offer is the free dining (QS at values, standard DDP at mods & deluxes) and the last day for booking is Sept 26 - 3 weeks from yesterday. So if they continue to release codes a little on the early side, we could hear something as soon as 3 weeks from today. If not, historically the January discounts have come out in early November.

I don't expect to see free dining. I think it'll be a variation on the 4/3, but I'm basing that partly on podcast rumor (4/3 but "more complicated"). Free dining or something else not linked to a specific trip length would be better for us, though, so I'm hoping they'll change it up a little.

Mousesavers says free dining must be booked by 9/26/09 for travel through 12/17/09. Maybe the rumor mill will come up with something closer to that 9/26 date...

Hey while we are waiting for our magical Jan code, I was just curious, I have never been to the world in Jan. Always have been in spring,summer and fall. Any tips on weather, crowds etc?. Also we usually stay in CBR. But thinking about AK. Never been there. Any thoughts?

We have been there several times in Jan. Somtimes warm and cold in the same trip. I love January because of low crowds and instead of feeling bummed out after the holidays are over, I have Disney to look forward to. The AKL is one of my favorites. If we get a good deal, that is one of the resorts at the top of my list. When are you going in Jan?

Three weeks isn't too bad...we are just back about 2 weeks ago & so want to go back in January-we also took advantage of the 4/3 deal last January. My daughter's school will be closed for part of the last week (January) for regents exams & this will be our opportunity for her not to miss too much-this past year they had a snow day one of the days we were away so that was even better!!!! I keep hoping for a pin/code but any deal would be nice!!
