I promise that I, an OCD code watcher, would not make anything like this up. The CM was actually looking at my ressie and knew my addie and everything, he also knew that I was interested in buying an AP just to get the discount. He was trying to get me to wait to add the AP until the offer has been made.
So I don't think that it is for AP/FL res. only.
However, I guess he could have been a mean guy and just saying that, but I didn't get that feeling.
Let's hope it's for real.

I filled out a long survey when I was there in Sept. They wanted to cost of my entire trip. I kept all of the receipts, and we drove there from CT. (1100 miles, two little kids and a jeep wranger-two door). I figured out the cost of eating, where I ate, cost of gas, cost of gifts, cost of hotels, cost of tickets and where I went.....and send it to Disney when I returned.
So for all my hard work my free "gift" for ALL of this work............$25 gift certificate.

At least they could use my info and hard work to give us ALL a discount on our next trip!!!

Ya know though, the funny thing is whenever I delete an offer-they pop up to chat with you. I had just deleted my Poly offer, so maybe that's how he knew!!!!

I went to Disney at Christmas from 2001-2003 and all 3 years it was dead. We got a room on the DTD strip for 40 a night. I don't remember how much the values were. I'd love something that covers my whole trip (Dec 28-Jan 4). If I had to guess on a discount that's for a ression it's going to be something free, tickets, food, or something. I think if they do add something for late December it's not going to be free just a room discount. I don't work for Disney, I just remeber how cheap the tickets and room were back then. Also don't expect to see a ticket price increase.

Great - I already booked me AP room and wasn't planning on having to get up early and check this thread anymore. Now I peeked in one time and see there ma be a better discount! Back to checking every day I guess.

Im hoping that if the discount is like the AP rates then I will upgrade rather then take the $$ cut. This is a girls only once in a lifetime trip with my mom and best friend and I have dreamed about going deluxe for this--or even trying a studio at the BC or BW. Fingers crossed!

When they have offered free days/dining before, were the rooms figured at the regular rate for that time of year (Like, POR is $149 per night in Jan. without AP or other disc.) plus dining or do they charge reg. season rates plus dining?

At that time the promotion was:

Buy a 5 day/4 night package, which was room and tickets, at rack rate, lit would cost $xx.00....... you would actually get 8 day/ 7 night package for the same original $xx.00

THE DDP was not an option back then. Check their site http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index for package info.

We went in 2003 with a similar offer - it was buy 4 nights get 3 free - I don't think it had anything to do with 9/11

Okay, to prepare for this spectacular moment (hopefully!!), since I've never used a code before, do I have to wait until I KNOW the code (like I see it on the site?) since lots of people are saying the CM's are requiring to be given the code by the caller?? Also, am I just going to be calling the general number for reservations?

I wasn't too discouraged that the code was taking so long. They offered an AP code and stuff already, so I knew a code had to be coming. The question was just how good it would be. Now, after reading this thread, I'm ready to stalk the computer! Sounds like this code could really be awesome!
