This is driving me crazy. We don't have a trip planned. We went this past January and had a great time. This sounds almost too good to be true! If it was buy 4 get 3 free for room, base tickets, and dining, than my family of 6 could go for right at $3,000. That is half of what we paid this past January. Maybe I could sweet talk my DH into another trip?!?!?

Now I'm trying to calculate my savings, too! IF it's buy 4 nights, get 3 nights free - do we think that'll be with base tickets? Or will it be three free days of whatever tickets you purchased, be it base or hopper? And did this offer previously include dining? Am I making sense?

In 2002, the offer included Ultimate Park Hoppers, only choice, and the DDP did not exist back then. So, no dining was included. Now that I think about it, they did give us extra $15 certificates to Planet Hollywood. Maybe IF they offer this deal, and since DDP now exists, they will sweeten the pot and give us free food, too.

I too remember the old sale of pay for 4 and get 3 free.

If this rumour is true, the BIG difference this time around is the Dining Plan! The Dining Plan did not exist pre-2005, which was when the last Play for 7/Pay for 4 Night Promo was out.

I just calculated...I have a preferred room for 7 nights at All Star Movies right now (2 adults, 2 kids) for 1/18-1/25. Buy 4, get 3 is about the same savings as 40% off room only - $350ish. Still a good deal, since I'm not an AP. I also a little worried about my week being excluded b/c of MLK.

Just called my AAA agent - they haven't heard anything yet, but she said she'd do some digging and told me to call back in the morning.

Then, she's leaving for DISNEY in the afternoon!!! But she assured me that anyone else in the office can change my reservation if needed.

She did say there is something starting next week that offers an additional 5% off the AAA rate but they are not allowing you to cancel and re-book for that one. That's alright, I'm thinking BIGGER anyway!

DH & DSis think I'm crazy, but....I just reworked an old spreadsheet I had created to price out different possible scenarios for ASMu Family Suites, 2 rooms @ WL, & 1BR Villa @ OKW! Here the scenarios I priced out.

1. Free Dining
2. 10%, 20%, 30%, & 40% off room rate
3. Stay 4, Get 3 Free nights room only discount
4. Stay 4, Get 3 Free entire package discount

Any other suggestions? Any excuse to play with my spreadsheets!!!

If Stay 4, Get 3 Free applies to the entire package price, we could save $350 by moving to a 1 br villa @ OKW or we could save $1000 off the Family Suite we already have!

I'm dying to go back to WL, but it's too darn expensive to get 2 rooms there, and DH won't stay in a room with my DSis (too weird, I guess).

I can't decide if I'm having fun or driving myself crazy!

You are!! I am too!! I sure I am driving my TA crazy cause I did the math myself and e-mailed her a bunch of things to do if such and such happens!!!!
If It is a package do this.....; If it is 40% off room only split my stay....: If it is free dining buy me the minimum amount of MYW tickets......

Running numbers.....we have 6 nights book end of january at the Contemporary now with AP rate MK View Room with Deluxe Dining. I would have to renew my AP at the end of this month going this route.

So if it's something to do with Buy 4 get 3 free....

3A 1C prices there for 7 nights with tickets and Deluxe Dining is $5983.65.....with the buy 4 get 3 free...it's $3821.00 praying over here lol.

Even if I can't go the extra night....and have to leave a day early because of my son's schedule I would still make out....our AP room with DD was $3800 for 6 nights anyway without tickets.

This is so ridiculous...I don't think I'll sleep or watch me far asleep at 5:45 and oversleep til 9 lol.

Anyhows....I wish you all luck with this!

If the deal that comes out tomorrow is a package deal including free dining and you have to buy a 1 day MYW base ticket minimum , could I

NOT USE the one day MYW base ticket until a FUTURE trip and at THAT TIME upgrade it to a 10 day base ticket????

Just running a bunch of scenerios in my head and thinking this would be the best option for me at this time.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

FYI.........I was told by the CM I spoke to that anytime they offer deals...it does not include ANY suites. I was thinking of the ASMu suite and she said that would not be included.

A lot of public school systems have a week off in February (around President's Day) and a week off in April (around Easter - except in MA which has it around Patriot's Day (aka the day they run the Boston Marathon)). Not exactly "spring break" but enough of a break in the school routine to make it a busier time.

Then colleges generally have their "spring break" in March.

Oh, yeah, I know that we have winter break. (well, our district in CT gives Mon for pres day and tues as winter break) and I knew most colleges have their spring break beginning mid march but I was surprised when they told me early Feb was the absolute PEAK season because of spring break. I don't know about Mass, but in CT we consider Feb the middle of the winter.

it was more than that - the CM was just very disagreeable. He got annoyed when I said I didn't ant the WP option and kept saying that it could be 70 degrees and I really need the WP option. Now, 70 in feb would be awesome but not nice enough for me to fork over extra cash to go to the WP
