Jan 18 Wonder Cruise to Cozumel

Posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

Please review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

I am putting together group 3 FE if anyone would like to join. Please let me know. I have 4 families so far.

Now I have six families... looking for four more. Closing the group 12/24 to give families time to get together there gifts.

My son (10 yrs) and I are going on our second Disney Cruise and I am the only one excited because I haven't told him yet!!!! He loves surprises, but he has been asking for another cruise since we went o the last one 5 yrs ago. Counting down the days!

Hi trixie, can you tell me more about this? I know generalities but specifics would be great. I think My son and I would enjoy it.

This is my first disney cruise but everything I know about it you have a group of people and you each by gifts for each other. You can do a lot of searches about it to see what other people have done. Some do home made, some just buy stuff, some buy stuff local to where they live. I am capping at 10 families to not get to out of control. You can either buy for each of the kids, or one gift for whole family, or kids and adults. Really no rules. Also you can search about the fish extender thing you can hang by your door that people in your group can put your gifts in. Currently I am organizing group 3 and we have six families so far.

For those families who would like to participate in the Fish Extender (FE) Exchange Group for the January 18th Disney Wonder Cruise! We will be closing this forum after we have 10 families total participating, 6 are signed up. If you'd like to join, please post here that you'd like to join. Then for privacy, please E-mail me at trixie2396 @ hotmail.com the following information:

*DISboard username
*Family last name(s)
*Cabin number
*First names or nicknames, ages of kids in cabin and if they are boy or girl
*Include any information describing each person:
*Profession
*Hobbies
*Favorite Disney character
*Special celebrations for the family or individual
*Any food allergies, etc
**I have seen mini alcoholic beverages as FE gift. Please include if the adults would prefer not to receive this as a gift.
* An email address for your family

If you are uncomfortable posting any of the personal information, you can simply say "Adult, Male" or "Girl, 8" for example.

For those who are new to this fun cruise experience, the Fish Extender itself is a pocket panel you hang from the fish shaped hook outside your stateroom. These can be homemade or you can purchase them on sites like Etsy, you can also find some pictures on Google or DIS forums. Families that join the FE group hang the Fish Extender outside their cabin and then exchange little gifts with others participating in the group by putting little gifts in each other’s extenders.

It's a ton of fun, not just for kids, and you can either give one gift to each cabin, or a gift to each person in the cabin. You can give gifts a few times throughout the cruise or just once. No real set rules just exchange and have fun! Gifts can be homemade or store bought. That's part of the fun . . . the variety of gifts that everyone brings!

Here are a few things to remember:
1. The gift exchange will start on Sunday 18th and end on Thursday the 22nd.
2. Minimum is 1 gift but you are always welcome to give more. Gifts can be given to each individual person, or to a family as a whole.
3. As silly as it sounds don’t forget your fish extender! There are many tutorials on Pintrest on how to make your own or you can purchase them on Etsy.
4. Your family will want to keep your FE as a reminder of a great time. With that said bring something to secure it. I’ve heard that zip ties work well.
5. Many forums and Pins recommend giving a thank you note to those in your group.

I will add the first 4 families that respond to me by email.

Thanks!!!

Hi! DD18 and and I are on this cruise! We're probably not interested in FE. But I do have a cabana reserved at Serenity Bay. Any small group of adults that might want to split it with us? I reserved it without knowing the cost, and it turns out it's a bit more expensive than I'd like to pay for just the two of us.

This will be my 8th DCL cruise. I certainly don't know everything (who could?) but am happy to field any questions.

I really wanted to join a fish extender and there was nothing for months. When I finally found one it states it closed on 12/24. Booo! If anyone can still add us we are interested.

We are new to the cruise fish extender idea. We have 4 families and would like to join with others on the Disney wonder Jan 18 2015

I JUST found out about the FE program. We have a 4 year old and a 3 year old on their first cruise, both boys. Any chance we can still participate?
