Anyone beyond excited? I can hardly think to do everyday tasks!!!
Fun, isn't it. Wife wanted me to wait until like the day of the cruise to tell the kids, but the anticipation is half the fun so we told them about a week ago! This will be our 4th.

Saw your post on the main boards regarding things not to miss. There's so much, but I would say among them should be...

1) Don't miss dining in each of the main dining rooms.
2) Order room service at least once for a late night snack!
3) Don't miss any of the shows in the theater each night
4) See a movie onboard. We've held off seeing Bolt and Bedtime Stories and hope to catch one or both on the ship.
5) Make sure the kids spend some time in the kids clubs.
6) They used have a graduation ceremony called 'Celebrate the Journey' which I believe is renamed to Friendship Rocks now. It's sort of easy to overlook and we missed it on our first cruise.

Tons of other things, but can't think of them all now. Hope you have a fantastic cruise!

everyone have a fantastic cruise, your all so fortunate your going so soon, im so jealous. I have to wait untill may 30, 2010 to go on my first cruise. From what ive read, the one thing of all things you cannot miss is Castaway Cay. I can just dream now! pLEASE COME BACK AND TELL ABOUT THE CRUISE!

Anyone? Anyone???

Count us in. We are in Rm# 2580. Will you send out a list of all participating before we sail?

So ready to head south again. DH and I just returned from a quick weekend trip to WDW. We both participated in the WDW Marathon weekend. It was a fun weekend but a bit tough on the old body. So looking forward to relaxing on the Wonder.

Heading south with the girls in 2 days!! YIPPEE!!!

Yep, getting more and more excited! Somehow in the next 3 days I have to squeeze in packing, last minute errands, laundry, making an FE, packing ... and did I mention packing?

That, and go to work, plus a Thursday night after hours server recap project that I have to go back to work for. Oh well, I need the hours.

Gypsy Gal, congrats to you and your husband on the marathon! What an accomplishment!

well, i dont mind participating in the FE exchange. but we arent going with kids. Sounds like more of a kid thing? Maybe not?

We are in room 1047. How do I know who do i get for?

I am very excited. I have been sick the past week or so, so I am hoping to get better so I can enjoy the cruise...

hey, i was wondering about credit cards vs cash. I think I remember reading about this, but I wanted to see what other people had planned.

I know everywhere including castaway cay you just charge to your room. But what about at Nassau? Do places there accept credit cards? Or should I be prepared with American cash? Any thoughts?

Nope, definitely not just for families with kids!!

I'll post in aminute with the list so far and that will tell you which rooms to deliver FE gifts to. :goodvibes

Hope you feel better my youngest seems a little warm this morning so I am hoping it's not anything big. :( We've had such bad luck with colds and sickes that I hope it passes quickly!!!

On board, you can just use your Key To The World (KTTW) card to charge things, and then settle up the bill at the end of the cruise. On excursions, the KTTW card won't work so I'd bring credit cards and cash to Nassau. I'd have to think that US currency is valid in Nassau. If excursions have guides, then bring cash along for tips. We did a snorkeling expedition in Cozumel and had the opportunity to buy photos of us in the water, but didn't have enough cash. Another cruiser spotted us the $$ and we simply paid them back that night. The KTTW card is good for drinks on Castaway Cay. I do recall a small gift shop run on CC featuring Bahamian gifts. I *think* the KTTW card worked there as well, but I'm not positive.

Does anyone know if the NFL playoff games will be broadcast on the ship? I would really like to watch some of them. Will they be on in the sportsbar? I have been to WDW about 20 times but this is my first Disney cruise. Any help is appreciated.

I called, they will definetly be shown in the sports bar. They were not sure if they would be aired anywhere else. They said they have had quite a few inquires. I hope they show it somewhere where our whole family can watch. The kids are not allowed in the bar. We are all huge Steeler fans, kids included.

Go Steelers!

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to catch some of the game(s) on the ship. Kickoff times are 3PM and 6:30PM ? There is an adult bar towards the front of deck 3 (Diversions ?), which shows sports TV. I caught a MNF game there on my first cruise. There is a jumbotron on deck 10 by the family pool but the games coincide with the safety drill and the sailaway deck party, so I doubt the games will be shown there.

I'm going to assume that the safety drill will trump the activities in the lounge, etc. You can always call DCL to get any specific information.

Hi - We are new to this, but would like to participate in the FE. I just whipped out an odd looking FE using a dollar store OTD shoe organizer. Not too crafty, but will work.

Cruising with me (Kara), DH Tom, DD Alexis (12), DS (Sean (9). We are in rm # 2020.

We are soooo excited we are all busting at the seams!

I was planning on catching the Steelers game too. Problem is, the game starts at 6:30pm. We have main dining seating which starts at 5:45 and then we go see the 8:30pm show so there really won't be much time to watch the game. :(

The game will definitely be on in Diversions, but as you said, kids are not allowed there. Other places you might find it are the Promenade Lounge and if you're lucky, the Ariel View screen up top! I've seen both baseball and football games being shown up there.

Updated FE list in my post:

Kids clothes are laid out, to be sorted what makes the cut. My clothes come next. That is, after I watch Lost tonight. Recap of last season's finale. Ugh, the Season 5 premiere is next Wed, our last night on the ship. I'll set it up to tape here at home, but it's gonna kill me to have to wait a week for it!

yup sisters. 24 and 28 room 1047

So... I am so sorry, but still a bit confused. I make something and leave it at someones door? Stuff for the kids? Or just randomn stuff? Does anyone have any ideas for me?
