Hi, I just joined today. What a great site!!! I'm planning a Disney trip for mid to late Jan. 06. We need a suite type of room for four people: a living room sofa bed with separated bedroom for adults. (We do not want just one large room --- we want the privacy of having our own room -- winky winky). We have a med. budget so we don't have to skimp, but we'd like the cheapest option. Any suggestions? What about the villas (WL, Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht, etc.). We're also thinking about the 7 offsite hotels near DT Disney. I'd love to hear feedback on where would be a nice place to stay. THANKS!

At the deluxe resorts, what you are looking at would be between $750-$1000 per night on average.

At the DVC resorts, it'll be about $400 a night. We've stayed at both the BoardWalk Villas and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, and I highly recommend both of them. :) The cheapest of the DVC resorts are Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. OKW has huge villas, though!

An SSR one-bedroom would be perfect. It has a king-bedroom with I guess you can call it one bathroom, but there is 2 sections to it. There is a double (or queen, not sure) pull out couch in the living room. Also a kitchen. And its the same price as if you were staying at a garden view room at the GF.

Well, heres a picture.

I would reccommend Old Key West, cheapest of the DVC resorts. Your best bet might be to rent DVC points from someone. Check out the DVC rent/trade board and have a great time!!

hello and welcome to the Disboards! :cool1:

The floor plan posted above is pretty much the same for all the DVC resorts. I agree your best bet would be to rent points and stay at one of them. They have full size kitchens, a washer and dryer and a jacuzzi tub.

You can go over to the DVC section of this site to get all the info you will need.

The OKW floor plan is drastically different from SSR, BWV, BCV and VWL. But it still has a master bedroom with living room, dining area and full kitchen. Just way bigger.

If you want to make a DVC rental from a DVC member, you'll need to hustle. January is getting full already (with the marathon and MKL weekend).

Sorry to take this slightly off topic.

When is the marathon?

and

What and When is "MKL"?

Ever year Disney holds a Marathon weekend in January. It consists of a 1/2 marathon on Saturday (13.1 miles), a family 5K (3 miles), and a full Marathon on Sunday (26 miles). MLK is Martin Luther King weekend when A LOT of schools have off, so the parks get crazy!
