Hello,

Well yesterday proved to be a very interesting busy day. I almost didn't have time to eat lunch...but I had to and I was starving. I knew that if I did't take 10 minutes to eat I was going to eat something that I should not have.

I was in meetings all day. The only time I was at my desk was from 6:30 - 9:00 and that time was crazy. My first meeting was about how to handle a terrorist attack on our building. Kinda scary, but it was something that we had to get done. We are in a high rise building in downtown Denver so they consider us a higher target. So we had a retired FBI agent here telling us what to do and why. He gave us a little background on the Oklahoma bombing and the World trade center. Stuff we already new, but I think he was going over it again so that it would remind us all. Made some of wonder if there was a threat and that is why they are doing all this. I have worked for this company for 4 years and all 4 years we have been in a high rise building and we have never had to do this. So it just makes us wonder. The FBI guy and security told us we had nothing to worry about, but still. Then at the end of the meeting they told us that we were going to have a fire drill sometime next week.

Wednesday:
B @ 5:15 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk and 1 banana
S @ 8:30 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese
L @ 12:00 1 wheat pita, 1 sclice of ff turkey, less than 1 tsp of lite mayo and mustard, 1 medium apple and 3 girl scout cookies.
S @ 3:00 1 cup yogurt
D @ 6:30 1 grilled cheese sandwich
Water was great. Made my goal again!!! 100 oz
Exercise was good as well. I so didn't want to get out of my warm bed. It was cold yesterday morning and I was warm!

Thursday:
B @ 5:00 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk 1 banana
S @ 8:15 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese
L @ 12:50 1 wheat pita, 1 slice of ff turkey, less than 1 tsp of lite mayo and mustard 1 meduim apple
S @ 4:00 1 cup yogurt
D @ 7:00 1 1/2 hot dogs
Water again was good....Since I was in meetings all afternoon, I didn't get in as much as I would have liked. At work I only drank 64 oz, but got the rest in at home. Made my goal!!!

I talked to my sister and all the kids with the exception of the baby, he will be this May, are all having a great time with school. I guess the husband was very angry that she put the kids in school. She told him and my parents that he is not here so he has no say. She said that he is finally over being mad....I don't think he is. Any way, she is doing really well...I think she is finally starting to come around and see what his is like. She talks to my mom a lot now that they are close to each other. I think that is helping her realize that this man is a jerk. I just hope that he stays away. I know that sounds mean, but I do. He is a selfish jerk...I have other words but I want to keep this "G" rated.

It was bone chilling cold here this morning. I think we were believe zero when I was walking into work. Too cold for me!!!

I weighted in this morning and the scale hadn't moved...although I usually weight in on Thursdays, I will do it tomorrow and see if there is any change. I hope so, if not such is life. Jamie -- Don't drive yourself :crazy2: about the scale (yeah, be sure to remind me I said that, okay!? ;) ) Just think about what a great healthy lifestyle you are living and how much more comfortable your clothes are.

I love reading about what foods you eat. You have so many good ideas. I have to take notes in my little pocket notebook so I can remember to buy some different things. Sounds like you are doing so great on your choices, even when you have no control over your circumstances. Congratulations on really adopting this healthy lifestyle! :worship:

I am glad to hear your sister is doing much better. What a relief for you to not have to worry about her so much!

You are doing great with your eating. We haven't gotten our GS cookies yet. I didn't want any, but DH ordered 3 boxes... :confused3

Great job getting out of bed to workout! You are so dedicated! :worship:

What a cheery meeting that must have been. Necessary, I'm sure, but not someone anyone wants to think about too much. It sounds like things are getting better for your sister--that's great news!

Good Tuesday morning, Thanks for stopping by everyone.....still no scale movement....I am trying not to get too discouraged, but man it is hard!

Wow these last few days have been a blur....things have been so busy....I was able to get on yesterday and I planned to update my jounal, get to others and well that didn't happen. I was home from work but things just got really busy!

Friday:
B @ 5:15 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk and 1 banana
S @ 8:45 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese
L @ 12:30 1 wheat pita, with ff turkey, lf cheese, less than 1 tsp lite mayo and mustard. 7 chedder cheese mini rice cakes
S @ 3:00 1 cup yogurt
D @ 6:15 1 grilled cheese sandwich and 1/2 serving chicken soup
Water was great....100 oz again!!!

Saturday:
B @ 6:15 2 waffles and very little butter and 1/4 tsp syrup
S skipped - was not hungry
L @11:30 1 turkey and cheese sandwich and 1 apple
D @ 5:30 Burger King chicken sandwich...we were on our way to a birthday party for a friend.
Water was good again....100oz....We had birthday cake and the party, but I passed on that. There was so much yummy food...and I didn't get any!!!! That is okay. I was not that hungry. DH on the other hand, had a piece of cake and it was gone in less that 1 second it seemed!!!

Sunday:
B @ 6:30 2 waffles and very little butter, 1/4 tsp syrup
S @ 9:00 1 banana
L @ 12:30 2 tacos with lf cheese
S @ 3:00 1 banana
D @ 6:00 two slices of cheese pizza
Water was good again......went over my goal!!! 120 oz!!! I was so thirsty!!!!

Monday:
B @ 6:30 3 slices of bacon, 1 scambled egg, 1 slice of lf cheese and two pieces of bread....yum! Oh I forgot....8 oz of orange juice....
L @ 12:30 1 burrito and 1 apple
S @ 3:00 1 banana
D @ 6:00 1 1/2 slices of pizza
Water was good....100 oz again!!!!

It was cold here this weekend......we were suppose to get up to the 20's Saturday and that didn't happen. It stayed in the teens all day and then the night was cold too. I am so over this cold crap....I need to move to a warm place......

Well I better get back to work. I will check journals at lunch.....today looks pretty slow.

Great job resisting the b-day cake and all the goodies at the party! And you made a great choice at Burger King by getting the chicken sandwich instead of a greasy hamburger. Way to go! :thumbsup2

You can move to AZ - it was cold here too, it only got up to 68... :sunny:

Tuesday turned out to be a pretty good day!!! About 2:00 I got really hungry and I just wanted to eat everything in site....I didn't though. I held out long enough to eat my yogurt and hour later. It was hard as we have some really good things around here, but I managed. Tomorrow is going to be okay, but Friday is going to be really tough. My DMIL gave us a chocolate fountain for Christmas and someone here is leaving....they love chocolate. So I said that I would bring the fountain, they just had to find things to dip in it!!!! I was not going to provide all that. So being that I don't really like chocolate, I should be okay with that. I know that someone is bringing rice crispie treats, yum and some one else is bringing a lot of fruit. I am going to try and stay away from the bad, and if I want something go for the fruit! Friday is going to be harder because we are having a pot luck. I was going to bring something but I don't know any more....I am bringing the fountain and the chocolate tomorrow, and I don't know if I want to spend all this money to bring something on Friday. I will have to see how I feel. I know that sounds mean, but I just don't know.

Well I talked to my mom yesterday and her and my dad didn't win powerball...they live in Nebraska, 9 miles east of Lincoln. They both get gas at the place the winning ticket was sold....I was wondering if it was them. It made me wonder because we usually hear from them over the weekend and we didn't hear anything from them. I was wondering if they won and didn't want to talk to anyone...wanted it to sink in!!! I guess I was dreaming!! LOL. Don't know how much truth there is to it, but my mom said that she bowls with a guy whose wife works with the people that bought the winning ticket. He may have been making that up because I heard on the news this morning that they still didn't know who the winner was....so who knows....All I know is that it was not me or any one I know!!!!

Tuesday:

Water was okay....I made my goal and that was it. I just could not get any more down! Exercise was great. I woke up feeling really good....little tired, but that was okay!


Amy, cold at 68......silly girl!!!! What I would give to have 68 right now!!!!! I know others have it much worse with the cold, but I just can't take it any longer. I have lived here all my life and this is the coldest I have ever been. Or at least that I can remember! I like warm weather......not this cold crap!!!!!

I think you will do great at the potluck and party. You can resist chocolate? :worship: I have been outdone many a time by a chocolate fountain... :blush:

My mom has your problem, but with heat instead of cold. She swears every year is the hottest it's ever been (even when the temps don't back her up).

Wow...Monday already....hello everyone!! Sorry I have been missing......things at work and home have gotten totally out of control.

I was so busy the last part of last week that I didn't get to do anything but work really! I had two employees out and that makes my life here at work hard. Not to mention that we have been really busy at home....

Every one at work has this crud that is going around. My boss just got over this stuff, strep throat, ear infection, sinus infection you name it. One of my team members has it, her son has it....another co-worker has it....just keep it away from me. I don't wany any of that crud. Not only because I just don't want to get sick, I don't want to deal with my boss being mad. She got angry at one of my coworkers because she had a doctors appt and left at lunch to go.....our boss got so mad. I just don't want to go through this.

So we did the chocolate fountain on Thursday and it worked pretty good....We didn't have the chocolate thin enough, but it worked. Clean up was the worse though. The instructions say not to submerge the base in water, but to use a wet cloth. Well that does not work all that well. So I ended up tipping the base and using the sprayer on it. Nothing bad happened. I don't really like chocolate, but OMGoodness the smell was so good. I melted the chocolate in the microwave and everyone thought they we were making cookies.....it smelled like it too! It was a really good smell.

We had our potluck on Friday....it was pretty good. We had a mexican theme....I have been craving mexican food for the longest time. I don't ever get it because DH hates mexican food. It didn't hit the spot though....I think I just need real Mexican food....but it was good. The one thing that I really did like was the cheese dip. We had someone bring chips and queso....oh my it was good. I so didn't need it, but that is okay...it was still good!

Wednesday:

Water was really good for all these days...Made my goal. Friday I exceded my goal...I drank a ton of water. I just could not get enough in me. I went through 96oz here at work and then I had another 2 - 32 oz at home....Whew!!!!

Exercise has been good. I am not sure I am going to make my goal, but I am going to try.....I only have one more day, but we will see. If not, there is always next month! Still no scale movement. I think I need to shake things up a bit....Not really sure what I am going to do though. I will think of something.

The weather was really nice here yesterday, 63, so we went on a nice motorcycle ride. It it suppose to be nice again today, 69, man I wish I could have rode to work. Too darn cold in the morning though! Oh well....soon we can.

Hi Jamie-

Wanted to check in since I've been so slack about visiting you. I hope you manage to stay healthy. DD came down with a stomach thing over the weekend - the rest of us are still healthy for now. One thing I've noticed is that I seem to not get as sick as I used to now that I take better care of myself. Funny how that happens.

Your eating looks great, as always. That is a wonderful attitude about the exercise challenge. I wish I could have such an upbeat attitude instead of beating myself up half the time!

Geesh I wish that things would get better. I have time to eat lunch and then it's back to work...Then when I get home I have to rush to get dinner cooked for DH so that he can eat before starting class. Oh well.....such is life I guess!

Monday and Tuesday were both pretty good days. I got in my exercise and my water. I was so thirsty on Monday that I exceeded my goal again!!!

Monday:

I didn't make the exercise challenge again Febraury. I forgot that I had less days...March is a new month and I will do it this time! Still no scale movement....I still think that I need to shake things up a bit. I just have not had the chance....I will though....I think that is really all that I need to get it going again.

Well I am going to try and make it back at lunch....if not, I am sorry that I have not gotten to others jouranls....I will though!

Have you tried eating some different foods? That could shake things up for you. Also, have you been taking measurements to see if you are getting smaller? That might be why the scale isn't moving. But hey, at least it isn't moving UP, right? ;)

Things have yet again been crazy!!!! I just wish....oh well. At least it is Friday and the weekend it here. Thank goodness!!!

Wednesday and Thursday were......let's just say not good at all! Wednesday started out good, but ended not so good. Thursday started out bad and just got worse. I can't believe I let it happen. Wednesday like I said was good, until I got home. We had dinner and I was fine. About an hour after dinner, I wanted popcorn....wanted it so bad I could taste it! Only problem, DH didn't want any. I knew very well that I could not eat a whole bag of popcorn, so I was not going to make any.....that didn't happen. I made some. My plan was to just eat a little and then save the rest. As I was eating my little bit, DH decided that he wanted some too. He didn't take a whole lot, but there was not enough left in the bag to save it and I didn't want to throw it away. So I ate it. Bad bad bad!
Thursday....well let's just say that I didn't even want to post it...but I am going to. I woke up late, didn't eat breakfast, had enough time to feed the dogs, DH and get lunch ready. Then I was off. I stopped and got a breakfast burrito, cheese and potatoe. I didn't do a snack, was not hungry. I just ate the whole day away. Not even good stuff....stuff that really was bad.

Wednesday:
B@ 5:15 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S@ 8:30 1 Nature Valley granola bar
L @ 11:45 HC turkey and mashed potates
S @ 2:45 1 Nature Valley granola bar
D @ 6:00 1 grilled cheese sandwich and 1/2 serving of soup
S @ 7:15 a lot of popcorn
Water was really good though. That was the one good thing for the day!

Thursday:
B @ 7:15 1 egg, cheese, potatoe burrito

Water again was really the only good thing for the day.
Holy cow....these last two days were not good.....I told myself in the shower this morning, that I am going to get back on track today. I know I only messed up two days, but I don't want it to get out of control. I don't want to lose everything that I have worked so hard for. I could not even get out of bed this morning to work out....how terrible is that. I am going to really try this evening to get it in. I need it bad.

So there it is.....Today is a new day and I am not going to beat myself up about it...but man it was not good!!!! The only good thing to come from this, the scale didn't move. I was sure that it was going to go up and it didn't. I was surprised! Maybe this is what will get that scale moving....

Amy, I have not measured yet, but I can tell in my clothes still. They are getting bigger and bigger. I really need to get new clothes, I just don't want to spend the money on them right now....knowing that I still want to lose more.

You know, those are the first bad days you've had in a LOOOONG time! It was bound to happen! And you are right - today is a new day and you will get back on track! That is great that the scale didn't move, your body probably doesn't know what to think!

You are human and will have iffy days every now and again. Just pick yourself up and move on. You can do it. ;)

I know how you feel about not wanting to buy clothes. My things are all falling off of me, but I don't want to get new stuff because I hope not to be wearing it this time next year. I've been shopping the sales at Kmart.

Thanks for the encouraging words Heather and Amy! Friday was a much better day. I stayed on track and I did get my work out in. Thank goodness.

This weekend turned out to be beautiful here and I was good all weekend! We did go out to eat twice but I was very careful as to what I got. I knew I could so get carried away!!!! We were able to get out on the bikes both days and had a great time. Saturday was really windy, so we didn't stay out long, but long enough! We stopped at Circuit City and I got Lady and the Tramp on DVD. I thought for sure that I had it already, but when I looked we didn't. I don't even know if it had come out before on DVD. I know #2 did and I have that one....but at any rate, I got it. That was my favorite movie as a kid....I remember that my dad bought me that movie and Beauty and the Beast at the same time. I swear I wore the tape out of the VHS tape that we had watching those two movies!!!

Friday:

S @ 3:00 skipped, I had the worst mirgrain and I was sick to my stomach. Went home and went to bed!

L @ 1:00 1 chicken burrito from On the Border...we met some friends and this is where they wanted to go.

Water was great....I drank so much at the restaurant.....but I made 100 oz....that was good!

Exercise was good....I didn't work out any this weekend...I should have but I like to take Saturday and Sunday as my days...just to do nothing really! I did do some work out side, so I guess I could count that as exercise...pulling weeds, that kind of stuff.

You work out hard during the week, you deserve to have the weekend off! Besides, you are active enough, it's not like you are sitting on the couch watching TV all day, eating potato chips and ice cream... :rolleyes:

Good Morning,

Yesterday was a great day!!! I felt good all day and stayed totally on track....Those dang stupid marshmellows are still here....I see then every time I walk by the file cabinet.....I just want to throw them away!!! I am going to if they are still there on Friday. That means that they would have been sitting there for two weeks....I am tired of looking at them!!!!

Things are starting to slow down here at work. Not really sure if that is a good thing or not. I mean don't get me wrong I enjoy being busy, but I am afraid that by being slow now we are going to pay for it in the long run. We are trying to buy another company and that is not really going so well....I think that is part of the reason we are slowing down. Then I find out that we are going to try and automate our expense report process. By doing that I may have to lose a team member. Currently we manuall audit all expense reports, and by going automated, we won't. We won't even see the hard copy of the report. We won't process any checks, nothing. So I am wondering what is going to happen. We are stil in the early stages and no one is really sure what is going to happen yet. We will see.

Exercise was good as well. I don't know what the problem is, but ever since I began taking vitamins, I have the tougest time getting my rear out of bed in the morning to work out. I don't know why. So yesterday I got up at 5:00, didn't work out, so I did it in the evening. I don't really like to do that, but I have to figure out why I can't get up. I am going to bed early, like I always do, so I dunno. But until then, I will just continue to work out in the evening! I kicked my work out up a bit last night. I did 30 minutes on the ellipitcal but it was so hard! Then I did 15 minutes of weights. By then DH was home and it was time to start dinner. I have to work out before dinner or I will never get it in. DH likes to come home late sometimes and then by the time I have dinner cooked and ready to eat it is too late to exercise....in my opinion.

Hmm, when are you taking your vitamin? You'd think you'd have MORE energy, not less! Maybe if you are taking it in the am you could try taking it in the pm to see if that helps.
