Hi, Jamie! WOW, you are doing great! You must be so proud of yourself. Congratulations on seeing your hard work pay off. I am very impressed with how well you did with that potluck breakfast. I have been trying to convince myself that a taste of something is good enough. Sounds like you have that approach down very well. I love that your ticker shows you are just about halfway to your goal. AWESOME!

Good Morning everyone!!! Thanks to everyone that stopped by. It means a lot to me!

Things are going really well. I have day number 1 under my belt for being cheat free. I think I am going to work in some Bronco cookies for Friday and pizza!!!! My work is having another Bronco day, and with that we are able to wear jeans......yeah....and my work is ordering pizza and having cookies. So I am going to work 2 slices of pizza in and about a half of a cookie. I don't think that should be all that bad!

I so didn't want to get out of my warm bed this morning. The alarm went off a little before 4am and I was so nice and cozy. But I did!!!! I got up and did my workout. I am glad that I did. I feel very good today. Better than I have in a while. I think I am finally getting rid of the crud that I had....boy that took a while! My water intake was has been great too!!! After working out this morning, I was so thirsty, so rather then waiting, I went to get a glass of water from the kitchen. I usually have one with me and I don't know what happend last night. I hate waking the dogs that early, because they sit at the bottom of the stairs and cry until I come back down. Then that drives DH nuts!!!!

Monday:
B @ 5:15 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 cup yogurt
L @ 12:00 1 1/2 pieces of chicken, 1/2 serving of brown rice, 1/2 serving of lf cream of chicken soup on top. I still can't get over how yummy this is!
S @ 3:00 1/2 cup lf cottage cheese with 1/2 cup fresh strawberries. I have never tried this and it turned out pretty good. I am going to try cottage cheese and blueberries today
D @ 6:00 1 1/2 hot dogs. It's amazing, just a few months ago I could eat 2 hot dogs and I can't anymore. I am full, not stuffed, just full after 1 1/2!!! That is great!

Good for you getting up and getting that workout in! I know it's tough to get out of bed, but you did it!!!

I noticed that you are only eating 1.5 hot dogs lately. That is great that you are feeling fuller on less food. And it sounds like you have a good plan for Friday. I want the Broncos to win since all my other teams are out...
 

Good Morning,

Well I completed day 2 - cheat free!!!!! I did it once before and completed all 100 days, so I know I can do it again.

Well I got up and worked out again. I almost had a huge issue this morning though. I must have been dreaming that I did something with the alarm because about 2:30 this morning I woke up turned the alarm off and then back on. I went back to sleep and then at 3:54 I panicked and jumped out of bed. I thought that I had forgot to turn the alarm back on. It was on, I don't know what in the world I was thinking. I guess I was not! So I turned the alarm back off, laid back down and thought I had six minutes I was just going to lay there. Bad idea....fell asleep. I woke up at 4:15....that could have been bad. I have no idea what I was thinking!

Yesterday was a really good day. I ate well, drank well, worked out! It was great!

Tuesday:
B @ 5:15 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S @ 9:00 1 cup yogurt
L @ 11:45 1 1/2 pieces of chicken, 1/2 serving of brown rice, 1/2 serving lf cream of chicken soup. This was leftovers from Sunday. That is the only thing I hate about making something like this. I have leftovers for days. DH won't eat any of it, so it is just me!
S @3:00 1/2 cup yogurt with blueberries....this was good, not as good as strawberries though!
D @ 6:30 2 small slices of cheese pizza.
Water 100 oz!!!

Well this is going to be short right know, I have a ton to get done this morning. Thanks for all that have stopped by, I will get to journals later!

Wow, Jamie! You are so disciplined to get up that early and work out. It would feel like the middle of the night for me. Congratulations!

I am so glad you are doing the 100 day cheat free challenge again! We had a great time last time, didn't we?

That is so bizarre that you mentioned the alarm clock thing! Last night I kept waking up, thinking surely I had slept through the alarm, or something was wrong with the alarm, and it would be 3am, then 3:30am, then 4am. The alarm finally went off at 5:15am and of course I didn't want to get up...

Congrats on the excellent day and getting that workout in! :cool1:

Hello all,

Well these last few days have been absolutely crazy......I don't even have time to go to the bathroom.....1099 time and we have ton.
Thankfully I am almost done and then it will be better.

So things have been good outside of being so busy. We had our Bronco pizza and cookies and like promised I planned 2 slices and 1/2 cookie. I was so tempted to just eat what I brought for lunch on Friday, but I didn't. We went out to lunch on Thursday and I did really well. We went to Magginano's and I got chicken parmeasean and alfredo. I asked for them to put half of it into a to go bag and then I ate the other half. I new that if I didn't do that I was would probably have eaten all of it....I love chicken parmeasean! So it was good!! I had leftovers for dinner and that was nice. I just had to re-heat when I got home.

I am at 9 days of cheat free!!!! Yippie!!!! This feels great. Although I did have to try this yummy little thing that one of my co-workers brought in. She brought them in on Monday and I told her that if there was still some left on Tuesday that I would try one. That way I didn't cheat. It was a little ritz cracker with peanut butter dipped in chocolate!!! That was such a party in my mouth. And I hate chocolate, but there was not a whole lot on it so I didn't have to worry about it being all that chocolaty! I was really good. I had a tough time containing myself to one, but I did!!!!

The best news of all these last few days is that I lost another pound!!!! Just one, but hey I will take it! I started thinking this morning actually and it is hard to believe that a year ago I was up over 200...220 to be exact. That was the worst day of my life when I saw that number. I decided then to do something, only I didn't really start until June 2005. But I have really come a long way....just really hard to believe. Espeically since I have tried and failed so many times before!!!

I am not going to post everything that I ate since last week, that would be too much!!!! I will start with today since things have started to get better now that 1099's are almost done.

Congrats on that 1lb loss!!! :cool1: You are at your halfway point, how cool is that?!?!? :cheer2: :cheer2: You did great by holding off on that snack until the next day. And by taking half your restaurant meal home, you've proven once again that you are in this for the long haul and this is a way of life instead of a "diet".

Hello All,

Well I must say that it has been a crazy week.....I can't wait for 3:30...then I am outta here!!!! thing have just not bee good here this week. On top of being busy and all I have to deal with two other supervisors that I don't really care for. And as the days go by, my dislike for them grows. The bad part is I sit right across from one and right next to the other. Boy do they drive me nuts. There are days, like today, that I want to knock their heads together.....Well I won't go into everything with them right now....just know I am ready for the weekend!

So we heard from my sister and she and the kids are really doing well. At least I am hoping that what she is telling us if the truth. She said that the 4 oldest kids had physcials last week and they are all healthy. She ended up putting the kids in school and she said that they love it. The two younger kids, (not the baby) have doctors appt today for physcials so that they can get into Head Start. She does not talk about her husband, I am sure that she talks to him, but she does not tell anyone how he is or anything. I am just really happy that things are working out for her. I just hope that they continue to get better for her.

I have done really well this week considering how things are going at work. I was offered a donut this morning and passed that up....but boy oh boy I wanted it!

Thursday
B @ 5:00 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 Nature Valley granola bar
L @ 12:00 1 can HC soup with 6 crackers and 1 medium apple
S @ 3:00 1 Nature Valley granola bar
D @ 6:30 1 grilled cheese sandwich with 1/2 serving chicken soup. This was pretty darn good!

DH wanted ice cream last night and that sounded so good. Popcorn sounded good too, but neither one of us had anything. We are dinner to darn late to have anything else! I got in 120 oz of water and 50 minutes of exercise!!!

I am hoping to get on this weekeend, if not, please know that I am thinking of all of you and hope that you all are well!

Wow, I can't believe you resisted ice cream and a donut all in one day! :thumbsup2 If I had just a sliver of your willpower, I would be in much better shape...

I'm glad to hear things are going better for your sister. Work is such a bummer sometimes, I know exactly what you feel like! There are several people I have to deal with that make it extremely difficult...

Hello everyone....

Happy Monday!!! Well today is day 15 of the 100 day challenge...I have stayed on track and I am still journaling everything...I just can't seem to find time to get here. I need to get back to that. I am hoping that once 1099 are out and all things will get better....I am just about finished. But on top of all that I am really starting to dislike my boss and the other two supervisors that are in our area. The other two are so.....well how do I say this and not sound mean......they are phoney. They kiss so much rear that it makes me sick. Oh well I guess life goes on. I just put my headphones on and I am there for my team, get my job done and go home!

I have been really bad about updating my challenges. I realized that this morning. I have almost met my exercise goal and I have not done anything here. That is bad.....I am going to update it today though!

This weekend was nice, DH and didn't really do much. He found a new PS2 game that he wanted so we went and got that. I bought myself a new CD - The Temptations! Crazy I know, but I love them!!!! I ripped them to my IPOD and that way I can listen to them while I work out!

Saturday:
B @ 6:30 2 waffles, little butter and 1/4 tbsp of syrup
S skipped, was not hungry (actually I was asleep)
L @ 11:45 1 1/2 bean burrito
S @ 3:00 1 cup yogurt
D @ 6:00 1 1/2 hot dogs
Water was really well, a little over 120 oz!!!

Sunday:
B @ 8:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
L @ 12:00 1 1/2 hot dog
D @ 4:30 We went to Village Inn with the inlaws. I had chicken sandwich and a few fries...didn't really need them but the little that I had was okay
Water was really good again. I had 96 oz ...didn't quite make my goal of 100 but I was very close!

Hope all is well and everyone had a great weekend. I am going to get to other journals while I have a free minute!

I'm glad the kids are doing well and I hope and pray she's telling the truth. Kids deserve the best no matter what. :)

I am obsessive-compulsive about updating my exercise challenge minutes. Sometimes knowing I can change it is the only reason I drag myself to the gym... :confused3

You are doing wonderful, keep it up! And don't worry about the co-workers. Just do your job and leave it all at the office when you go home. :wave2:
 
Wow....what a day yesterday was. I did really well however when I got home, I wanted to eat everything in site. This was another day when I could have started in the fridge and ended in the pantry. I really thought that I could just have an apple and then I decided not to have anything, and wait until dinner. That is what I did too. It was so hard though.....I don't know what was wrong yesterday to be honest. Maybe I was just stressed and tired from work. Who knows.

So we found out yesterday that we as supervisors have to do reviews for our team members. Only here is the kicker, the review is only going to be seen by my manager and then the VP of Accounting. We are not to show these reviews to our employess for any reason. I asked why, I was told that if we tell our employees that they are doing a good job, but they need to work on this, this and this, and then in the next year they totally mess up and we have to fire them, they can come back to us and sue us for wrongful termination. I don't get that because Colorado is an at will state. Not only that, but even though we are an at will state, our personnel department makes us document everything and we have to have solid reasons why we are terminating that employee. I really didn't like what my manager told me, she is the type that this is the way it is and I am not explaining it at all, so I am going to talk to the VP of Accounting. She used to be my boss a few years ago and has since been promoted. So I know I can talk with her. I just would like to understand why. It makes no sense to me that we can't give our employees a review. Oh this is just a big pain.......Oh well, I will stop complaining!

Just wanted to add....I made my exercise goal this month!!! Yippie for me!!!! Now on to next month. I added 200 minutes for February! I know I can do it!
 
Congratulations on making your excercise goal!! That's awesome!!

I agree not letting employees see their reviews doesn't make any sense to me. I want to know how I can improve and what I can do differently in the future. Reviews for me are a time of self assessment and change and I would be very upset if one was done and I was not allowed to see or discuss it.
 
Hmm, that doesn't seem right that the employees don't have a right to see their evaluations. I'd check the company policy on that one!

Great job meeting your goal and upping it for Feb! :thumbsup2 Also for resisting all the snacking temptations and waiting until dinnertime. That is always a tough one! :cheer2:

Good Morning,

Well yesterday went pretty well until I got home. It was another one of those days that I just wanted to eat everything. I had such a sweet tooth that it was not good. I looked around the kitchen, in the fridge, the pantry...nothing to eat that was so bad yet so good! Then I got to thinking....hello, I don't buy that crap anymore...that is why it is not there! So sat on the couch, relaxed and watched my soaps until DH came home and we could start dinner!

I did end up talking to the VP and she told me that we could definitly talk with our team and tell them these things. What they didn't want us to do was to show them the review that we did. Management does not want the employees to know what "number" they were given....so there was some miscommunications there. So once we get the numbers back for raises and bonues, as I am giving them that I will also tell them how and what they need to improve on and what they are doing right. So it all worked out well in the end!

Tuesday:
