The Plan

AKL Boma for breakfast, visit some of the other resorts and then a meal somewhere on the boardwalk.

The Reality

After the stress of getting to Chef Mickey’s for breakfast earlier in the holiday we decided to skip Boma. Instead I went to the food court for bagels, coffee and hot chocolate. As FOTLK was closed last time we went to AK that was going to be our first stop. I managed to film the whole performance but my arm was very sore by the end. The problem with being in charge of the camera is you don’t get to see much except through the viewfinder. We headed off to Dinosaur for a couple of rides and enjoyed doing silly poses for the in ride picture. This was a recurring theme of the holiday, because we had ridden all the rides so many times we knew exactly where the cameras were. Although we didn’t buy any pictures we had fun looking at them all.

We took the bus to MGM so we could buy our TOT souvenirs and of course ride it again. We then did a couple of rides in Aerosmiths super stretch. My sister dropped her sunglasses on one ride and couldn’t reach them in the bottom of the car so stood on them for the whole ride so as not to loose them. They were never really the same again. As it was still early we didn’t want to carry our souvenirs around all day so got them shipped back to the resort. We grabbed some drinks and muffins and headed off for the boat to Epcot.

We did Mission Space again and then Test Track a couple of times and it was still breaking down. We walked round the world showcase and had late lunch in Germany. We hadn’t seen all of wishes yet so caught the monorail to Magic Kingdom.

When we were here on the Saturday it was very busy so we took this chance to do all the rides we missed. After doing Pooh, Peter Pan and Philarmagic we rode all three of the mountains and of course Buzz again. We still had some time before wishes so took the train round the park. We staked out a spot for the fireworks that had a good view of the castle and for some reason it wasn’t very crowded. When the fireworks started there was a big bush right in our line of sight no wonder it was quiet just here.

We both wanted to see AKL so decided to head over to Boma’s for a meal after wishes. It was very busy heading down mainstreet so we went down through the shops and were at the exit very quickly. As went headed to the bus Mickey was on a balcony waving goodbye to everyone. We didn’t have to wait to long for a table and the buffet was good with a wide range of unusual food. While we were eating a couple was shown to a nearby table, while they were at the buffet another waiter showed another group to the same table. While this second group were at the buffet the first couple came back to find strange coats and bags at what they thought was their table. If you have ever been to Boma’s you will know that a lot of the tables all look the same. The second group came back and didn’t speak English. It was quite funny to see all these people standing holding their food whilst the waiters tried to sort everything out. We caught the bus back to the resort via downtown Disney.

we do the same thing at Dinosaur ride........we wave and smile now. I do love that ride though. ALso Buzz is another favorite as yours too i can see. thanks for the food reviews too
