James and Jeffrey PJ - 05/10/11 - SBP/Attic/UK DP/Wedding Day 2 Arrival

I love  the STD's!! What a great wonderful Idea to tie in the disney theme:goodvibes

Thank you so much. You have to have a Disney theme if you are getting married at Disney. At least for us we do. I just wanted you to know that I have been following you PJ and impressed with all you have completed. Plus I am in love with all of your sparkle and bling. Your plans are fabulous.
The STD's are awesome. Such a great idea. I can't wait to see what she does for your invites.

I may just have to join Tinkerbelle 766 and stand around in the background as a groupie. :rotfl: (I live not too far away from Disney).

The more the merrier. We projected our guest list at 30 but Jeff's mother, sister and brother have already Strongly indicated that they will not be joining us for the celebration. On top of that I am insisting on a three tier cake. A two tier to me just looks like a birthday cake and I wanted something with mass. Lets just say we are going to have plenty of cake. Also with the reception I am required to have a minimum and not certain if my guest list is going to meet it, so we are going to have to pay for people to eat who are not there. So my gut tells me I am going to have plenty to go around and probably no sneaking in the background will be required. I know I could have gone with an escape package, but I am to much of a Diva and wanted (needed) choices. So who know maybe we will see you there. Plus wedding crashers could make my TR much more interesting.

You just gave me an idea.... might have to make t-shirts for guest (cause we are only going to have 10...and five of them is my family) that say something like McMorris-Lawless wedding groupies and of course there will have to be glitter... I wonder if Dolly can work something up. I am going to have to check. I have always wanted groupies :yay:

I know today is a random day with random posting and I still have to finsih Day 1 of our planning session but I think my sister decided on MOH dress. originally I was going for a Disney Maidens dress in the Belle series, but leave it to Disney to change designers so it is no longer available. Here is a close second and I think she likes it. She has done all the work and found it.

we shall see what happens with this.

Ooooh, the dress is so pretty! Understated, but very classy. Will it be in the purple? I love and had planned to use purple as one of my wedding colors but who knows what I'll end up doing at this point. I've changed my mind regarding various wedding details about a dozen times just today. :rolleyes1

Things are looking great so far. You should definitely make groupie tees. Imagine how awesome that would be for a photo opp!!!

I'll be there!! I love cake!!:lmao:

I think my theme is Martha Stewart meets Mickey Mouse in a vintage garden.

I just caught up on your PJ - I literally cracked up loudly at my desk (yes, I'm at work) at the visual that the above statement created in my head. You are too funny.

Love the MOH dress, it's very similar in style to the one my MOH wore, except my wedding was all obnoxiously bright colors :)

Randy is so awesome - he's laid back, professional, and fun to deal with....and a GENIUS at his craft.

Oh such a bummer that his family won't be coming.

I'm marking your date in my calendar so that if I'm still free (currently unemployed but enjoying it), I'll head over to come support you/crash the wedding. See that, I can save you the money of hiring the wedding crashers from Disney. ;)

I'll have to check out the cake - can't resist seeing your Martha Stewart meeting Mickey in vintage garden and glitter all over. :lmao:

I like the idea of the glittery 'Groupie' t-shirts for your guests. That will make for some really awesome photos. :)

I have been saving money for the past couple of months and putting it in a jar on the counter. I decorated it in a wedding theme and had been putting spare change, bottle money, and any extra cash that I had (we all know that is hard to come by). The rule is that once it goes in the wedding jar it does not come out.

My sad empty jar

Now I sorta believe in Karma, but I am starting to doubt. I am the type of person that really will give my friends something of mine if they need it. I gave my friend a car and gave her money for her flight to England to she could meet her online bf/ now husband. Jeff helped out a friend who ended up with a DWI at no charge. Nor did I ask for money from my friend. You never give money to friends and expect it back. If it comes back well all the better. I would never lose a friendship over money. However, today I started to count my jar, because wedding bands are in, to see what we had. My friend had given me money for the car so I put $100 in the jar and the rest in the bank. Guess what was not in the jar... a $100 bill. My house is not open to just anyone. The only people who come over are close family and friends. This means that one of them came into my home and stole from me. I did not spend it and double checked with Jeff and he didn't either (although I did find out there were less 20's because he had raided a couple of times.) I am just sad that someone took from me when we would have given it if we had it. The jar remains on the counter but only change and some small bills (just in case people want to donate) and the rest has to be hidden away. In all honesty Jeff told me not to keep it on the counter, but it made me excited to see the money build up, and I never thought anyone would take from it. I was wrong:sad2:

Hi, I just came across your PJ and I'm addicted! I love your plans so far and I can't wait to see more. I think if you ever decide to give up the DIY projects completely you should take up writing and become an author because I was literally doubled over with laughter while reading your post...and let me just say, for the record, I wasn't laughing at you, I was laughing with you?? ;)

I'm very sorry about the missing money. I can't believe someone would do that. Maybe their conscience (or Jiminy Cricket, if he's free from that wooden boy with the abnormally large nose) will get the better of them and they'll confess as well as replace the money that was taken with interest.

OMG this is so sad!!:sad2:
Are you absoluely sure that you have not had any workmen or delivery men in the house recently (or has Jeff). I find it so cruel to believe that somebody could steal from an obviously lovely, kind person. It makes me so sad!!

Aw man that is so messed up!!! :sad2::sad1::headache::hug:
But...
I do see a Hidden Mickey in your change jar which is pretty cool! :woohoo:

Just jumping onto your thread now--- I love you guys! Jasper is so adorable, and I'm so sorry about the stolen money!

I'm sorry both that Jeff's family won't be there and that the wedding jar has been stolen from.

I think it's great that you're thinking of groupie shirts and are welcoming crashers.

What a bummer. I am so sorry to hear that money was stolen from your bottle. Don't give up on karma, I am sure that you will find some good fortune just around the corner for all the good deeds you've done. :)

(Sorry its the optimistic in me always trying to see good - hence the screen name). :rotfl:

I am sorry to hear about the money, that is sad. Also, It is unfortunate (and their loss) that Jeff's family won't be there. May 10th is my birthday so if I can swing myself a birthday visit? I will be another groupie. Dolly is very talented and I am sure she will "whip" something right up. I am enjoying your planning thread. :thumbsup2Penny:hippie:

Just stopping in to say I'm due for a chuckle or two from you. ;) :lmao:

Hope all is going well, I know you are probably busy with the boys, etc.

Just a quick update. Today is the 180 day mark. OMG only six more months to go and I have to have this wedding paid for. I am still seeking donations but have not had any takers yet :goodvibes My sister (bless her) is on top of it and got our dinner reservations booked.

Saturday: The kids go to 1900 Park Fare and the Daddies get to go to Jiko (went there for the planning session and had a great time... ask for Mary...she was an amazing server) and the food was great.

Sunday:Breakfast Tusker House, We went as a last minute substitue during the planning session in October and had a great time. It is busy but the food was good (Banana Bread pudding was out of this world) and the service was amazing. (look out for jackquie (sp) she was great) Even though its a character breakfast I am so excited to see Mickey in his safari outfit. We always go to Chef Mickey for character meals but I am starting to get a little bored of the same pictures of Mickey in his Chef outfit with the boys.

Dinner
Le Cellier, one of the most coveted seats to get... cheddar cheese soup here we come.

Monday: Coral Reef. This is the third attempt at going to Coral Reef. The first time we were in a different park and just could not get there. The second time had to give the reservation up because four year old had HUGE,HUGE,HUGE meltdown. As we walked out people who did not have children gave me the LOOK "what is wrong with your child and parenting skills" The people with kids gave me the subtle smile and head nod that said "been there doen that and glad not my kid today". Even though reviews are mixed can't wait. Hopefully Mickey Mouse might swim bycongratulating us, as it is our rehersal dinner.
Who knows maybe the third time will be the charm.

Tuesday: WEDDING DAY. Dinner and dessert are on us. (Will tell you our choices later. It is a surprise)

Wednesday: Liberty Tree Tavern. A Thanksgiving type family style dinner. It just sounds like fun and in the MKI will be off the diet by then. Bring on the food!

Thursday: Via Napoli. Picked by my sister but since she is watching the boys one night and taking them to 1900 Park Fare so we can eat at Jiko she get a pick. Italian food, how do you go wrong.

Friday: The Last Day

Breakfast 1900 Park Fare. We are going back again! The characters are different from dinner so the kids won't be bored plus we are really going for ME. I want to see Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins! What a practically perfect way to end our stay at Disney World!

Dinner
O'Hana, I have noticed alot of Disney Brides doing O'Hans as their rehersal dinner but what a fun last meal. Grilled meat on a spit and family style. What more can you ask for. Lets just skip the Hula and bring on the piles of food.

As I write this post I am like Pavlov's dog. I am salivating just thinking about dinner at WDW. I am also on my Disney wedding diet and I am HUNGRY, but I do not want to look like Rolly Polly Ollie on the day of the wedding.
