Here are our ADRs for Sept 2-9. I'm sure they will change again between now and the trip, but my sister wants good meals as she put it. A few of them we will pay OOP for (Tea, CP, Boma, Ohana)

I have a question about the AKL transportation? How do people get from the AKL to Animal Kingdom park? I heard that the AKL busses do NOT go to AK, so I was wondering for those that don't rent cars, how do they get there? Is there a shuttle?

I promise you that the buses DO go from AKL to AK park......... we did it about 6 times in Jan./Feb. The buses run anywhere, just look for the sign at the bus stop for where you want to go, get on that bus and viola~~~

We parked our car when we arrived, then didn't see it again till check out!!! We love WDW transportation, it took us to all the parks, DTD and back to AKL......... you don't need a car at all!!!

Hope this helps!!!

OMG - we check in tomorrow night! I can't wait - how can I get through the day today and tomorrow?

We are trying WCC for dinner this time. We had the breakfast last time & thought it was pretty good. Hope we are not to disappointed.

You know when DH and I were making our final dec. on our ADR's, we decided we really didn't care for the food at WCC either........ I mean the "atmosphere" was great....... but, we got the skillet..... and really thought the bbq at flametree was better!!!

Kimmar,
Wendy, I wish you were going before I had to make my ADRS (mid June), because I also want to try three of yours-Le Cellier, Coral Reef and Concourse. I thought instead of eating at WL, we'd eat at Concourse and then ferry over from the Contemporary to the WL. Everyone is going to have to give a full report when they come back..................

Patricia

We ate at LeCellier in Jan. and it is as good as you've heard. That's why we are going again!!! I'd say it's a not to be missed restaurant. As for Coral Reef, I've been there, it's been years, but I do remember enjoying it ~~ DH wants to try it, so we are. We've never been to Concourse, but, as I'm sure you've noticed by our ADR's, DH is a "steak" lover!!! ;) we've read mixed reviews on Concourse, but, we'd like to try it out for ourselves!! But, again, I'd suggest trying them out, especially Le Cellier, our DS is 6 and he even enjoyed it. I've read that people question if it's "kid friendly"....... from my opinion, YES, our CM was doing magic tricks with DS, and couldn't have been any more wonderful!!! He didn't even charge my for my side item.......( I got asparagus) It was a very nice, relaxing meal, not to mention delicious melt in your mouth steaks.......... and don't even get me started on the dessert......................

Good luck with your ADR's!!

Wendypooh,

If you want to try another restaurant on your trip, make an ADR at the Kona Cafe. We always have breakfast and dinner there. The food is really good. We have never been disappointed.

Kathy

Thanks!!! The menu looks great.......... I think I may just have to convince DH to try it!!!

Hey ~~ Please go and try it for yourself!!!! We just didn't care for the skillet, and no, I don't think everything there is bbq. I didn't mean that!!! They do have other options on the menu, if we had tried something else we might have loved it. We just weren't crazy about it and want to try some new places. I'm really NOT trying to discourage anyone from eating here, it was really fun, and the bottomless shakes were AWESOME!!! Again, if any of you want to try it.......... please do!!! Maybe we just hit it on a bad day.......... :confused3

Kimmar:

When we went to WCC in April, it was still Lent and my sister and I don't eat meat on Fridays. She did not like the fish offering, so we asked our server (Jeffro, funny but in a dry, not overly loud manner) if we could have the salmon from Artist Point. He said that he would check with the chef, he couldn't make any promises, but he came through! So maybe you could try the same thing.

OMG DH and I are sitting at the airport waiting to board the plane! :cool1:

Only hours to go now until our first stay at AKL.

I'll be sure to bring back pictures!

Can someone post the direction for adding a picture? I know it has been explained before, but now I have my SIL to help me.

I am trying to catch up on the thread since I haven't been able to get on for more than 5 minutes this past week. Here is a picture I was going to post last week, hope you enjoy.

I also want to share with you all that last week DBF and I got engaged!!! :cloud9:  :love2: Now if I can only convince him to get married in WDW or have a Dinseymoon.

Lillygator - Wooooooo-doggie!

Mickey Fanatic - If your luggage feels a little heavy....well, it's just me. :rotfl2: Carry on, carry on.

Nancy - type all this together
and ta-da - you've posted a picture. It'll have to be uploaded from your hard drive to a place like photobucket. www.photobucket.com It's free and you'll just need to register if you haven't yet. Then you can copy the IMG address directly from there and simply paste without having to type
because it's already done for you.

Yep, yep - not too hard once you get the hang of it. :teeth:

Let me know if this doesn't make sense.

Did someone post about food? ~drool~ I may be out of turn and totally OT, but I can't resist food talk. WCC was very fun and I thought the fried chicken and mashed taters were good. Don't forget to ask for some ketchup. ;) I thought Kona's was better for lunch than dinner, but maybe my taste buds were on the fritz that night. Has anyone eaten at O'hana lately? Is the menu different now? I thought I read it had something else offered now. We didn't have the best service in the world there. It was a wee bit of a turn off, but I'm going to take my own advice and give it another shot later. Just wanted to see what folks are saying.

BTW, you've got some good tasting...I mean looking ADRs lined up. :thumbsup2

Is it June yet? Is it? Is it? :hyper:

ETA- CONGRATS LUVFIGMENT!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Well I just thought I would post my ADR's too.

9/3 Chef Mickey's 7pm
9/4 Whispering Canyon 6:40
9/5 O'hanas 6:20
9/6 Boma breakfast 9:45
9/7 LeCellier 7pm
9/8 Coral Reef 6:50

Wendypooh, Scoutsmom, Our tickers are still moving :thumbsup2

Oh I can just feel the excitement in the air for those about to step into AKL! Have Magical vacations!

Just got back from a most excellent weekend trip!

Had dinner at Boma. Very nice! (best $26 chicken strips and fries my picky 10 year old son ever had :rolleyes2 ).

Be sure to walk out past the pool (angle left) for some night-vision viewing and (with any luck) expert commentary on the animals!

Luvfigment - :cheer2:  Congratulations! Are you going to tell us how he proposed?

How about a honeymoon at ALK in their one-bedroom suite?

I am sure you are on cloud nine and thinking and talking about many things.

I very happy for you.
