We will be flying on SWA. I am not so concerned about printing out boarding passes but would really like to check in and get an A boarding pass. Is there a way to check in online and get our A boarding pass? BTW we will be staying in a standard level room so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Getting excited.....time is passing by!

Webbie, I would love to know the answer to this question for departure.

Happy Mothers Day!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day!!!

Kimmar ~~ I made my ADR's a couple of days ago........ I got everything we wanted.......... how was your luck?? So, I'm all booked, got all our ADR's done, paid............. now what do I do???? LOL

I'm gonna be  waiting for 3 more months!

OMG - we check in tomorrow night! I can't wait - how can I get through the day today and tomorrow?

....:badpc: NO! I have tentative ressies for Le Cellier for Sunday night [the day we arrive] but I might cancel them. We are driving in [18 or so hours] and I don't think I want to waste my PHP JUST to go to Epcot to have dinner - especially at 8:20 at night when we will probably be exhausted from the long drive....also, I MAY have to cancel my WCC ressies because my DS's GF doesn't care for their food....I was thinking, mebbe, Alfredo's....any thoughts??

I called to see if our room was assigned yet - nope! Nothing, she said it won't be assigned til we check in. :(

As far as I know they never assign rooms before check-in......... not to worry though............ I'm sure you'll get a great room, great view, and LOVE it!!!! :thumbsup2

WOW-- 18 hours............ I don't blame you, I probably wouldn't feel like going "out" either after such a long drive!!! You may want to stop somewhere on the way to eat, so it isn't so late or you could just eat at Mara that night?? Or room service?? I know I really don't like eating late.......... I never sleep if I do!!!

You know when DH and I were making our final dec. on our ADR's, we decided we really didn't care for the food at WCC either........ I mean the "atmosphere" was great....... but, we got the skillet..... and really thought the bbq at flametree was better!!! :confused3 I know a lot will disagree........ diffrent strokes for different folks I guess, but we decided to skip it this time!! I cannot comment on Alfredo's we've never been......... sorry!!

I guess I just called at the right time, I was actually suprised to get everything we wanted and at the times we wanted......... I'm hoping that's a good sign!!!

I booked ~
Le Cellier - 5:45
Chef Mickey's - 6:15
Concourse - 6:10
Boma - 5:40
Coral Reef - 5:40
Trails End - 6:10

Do you know anything about Trails End??? Would you suggest we try something different?? We had thought about Cape May?? or Kona........?? SO many choices........... LOL I guess we could always do Boma again!!! :rolleyes1

Webbie-They were able to help me with boading passes before. Just go to the lobby concierge and someone can help you with it.

I have a question about the AKL transportation? How do people get from the AKL to Animal Kingdom park? I heard that the AKL busses do NOT go to AK, so I was wondering for those that don't rent cars, how do they get there? Is there a shuttle?

Kimmar, God Bless you -I can't imagine driving that long and making a post 8pm ADR-but if your DS has a girlfriend, I'm assuming that your kid(s) are older-my 11 DD princess: gets really cranky if she's tired pirate:, my 3 1/2 would just be slap happy :rotfl: along with his mommy.

Are you set on eating in Epcot that evening? (I never ate at Alfredo's either but have eaten at Crown & Rose, Chefs de France and Morocco's restaurant if you are curious about any of those.

(I also just read a really nice review on Raglan Road (Irish) at Downtown Disney.)

It's funny that you mention not doing WCC-I had been thinking about it doing it one night since we want to check out the WL holiday decorations and supposedly you can take a holiday carriage ride (for a fee of course). (The Wilderness Lodge being the family's personal favorite-till this point-I had to sell them on AKL with all the great info on this site-change is good sometimes... :thumbsup2 ) Anyhow DD and DH not keen on the idea, especially DD because she is sure that they will tease her and do something humiliating to her :smooth: -and she's probably right because they look for people who look uncomfortable-they're more fun to tease! (My son on the other hand would probably love it!)

But as far as the food at WCC, I'm pretty sure they have any a la carte menu and not everything is barbequed???

Wendy, I wish you were going before I had to make my ADRS (mid June), because I also want to try three of yours-Le Cellier, Coral Reef and Concourse. I thought instead of eating at WL, we'd eat at Concourse and then ferry over from the Contemporary to the WL. Everyone is going to have to give a full report when they come back..................

OH thank you. That is good to know. I will make sure to see the concierge in the main lobby. SWA has great fares but they don't make it easy with boarding passes when you are on vacation.

Don't be worried there are dedicated busses that go from AKL to AK park. The ride takes less than 5 minutes because they are so close together so as you can imagine they are fairly frequent. Wherever you read that or whoever told you has never stayed at AKL is my guess.

Wendypooh,

If you want to try another restaurant on your trip, make an ADR at the Kona Cafe. We always have breakfast and dinner there. The food is really good. We have never been disappointed.

Oh my goodness that would make for a long day just to use one day from the PHP. What about doing something at one of the resorts? Get a head start on those Zebra Domes prehaps or maybe something at the Poly?

...we had driven before (when we stayed at DxL); we decided to eat at the food court - by 9:30 that night we all were OUT COLD!!

...not really...it seems a shame to waste one day of the PH passes just for dinner at Epcot....but I WOULD like to hear about Crown & Rose and Chefs de France; maybe I could change my ressies about a bit....
