Your credit card is only used as a "guarantee". They won't charge your card until the morning of the Safari. :thumbsup2 You should contact IPO and ask for your booking # - just to be on the safe side.

Will do. Thanks for the info, it's eased my mind a bit. :>

John's Mom and luvfigment: Thanks for the compliments! Glad you liked the pics!

I've got this huge inkling to see some photos of AKL!! Would anybody be able to help a fellow DISer out?! ;) Just over a month and a half and I will be at AKL for 9 (I know they will be wonderful) days...

HELP!!! I am craving photos! And thanks in advance, I know I have come to the right bunch! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know the times of the fire pit (I believe it is nighttime) story time thing? Is that really cool?

Good question! I love that fire pit. I haven't been there for the story time, but I have been there just to sit around the fire and have a drink. So relaxing after a fun-filled day.

Greetings fellow AKL lovers! Myself and my boyfriend just returned home from our stay at the AKL and had a wonderful time!! We had never stayed there before and now agree that we don't want to stay anywhere else on our next visit.

We stayed on the Kudu trail and had the second to last room on it. We booked a standard room, but are still unsure if they upgraded us. We saw TONS of animals when we expected to see the parking lot. We did have a view of a lot of fencing (see photos) and there was construction going on to the left of us. However, it didn't bother us one bit. With the door closed you couldn't hear it whatsoever.

We had a wonderful meal at Boma and stuffed ourselves silly and enjoyed a cactus fruit margarita at Victoria Falls. The staff were very friendly and mousekeeping left us two towel animals.

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to stay there and would recommend it to anyone. Please enjoy these pics. :)

Thanks for the report. Glad you had a great time!

That picture of the giraff looking over the construction fence is adorable.

You're most welcome. He later bent his head down to grab at some grass between the fences, hehe.

They're considering those (right now) standard view rooms from the reports I've seen. I agree....a nice step up if you're expecting parking lot view. :)

Thanks for the great pictures! I'm down to 4 months - woo-hoo! :dance3:

Good Evening All!
Just wondering......anyone heard anything new about the dreaded construction/closing/moving.....all that nerve wrecking stuff that is going to make my last 2 months before the trip very shaky?????

Hoping to hear some good news soon, like all the villas above the pool views are finished perhaps?????

Oh, I forgot to ask this previously, but does anyone know if AKL has upgraded to the flat screen tv's in the rooms?

Thanks for the updates and the pictures are great! I like the one of the giraff also. It looks like he is keeping tabs on the progress of the construction. Glad you had a great time!

Thought I'd add some more pics. I may have posted before, but can't remember :goodvibes We had a fifth floor giraffe trail pool view room that was awesome! I'm still confused by everything I've read if it is now a DVC room or not. Anyone know for sure?

Anyway - onto the pics:

View of zero entry pool - I have to say this pool was a thousand times better than the one at WL - we never felt crowded here as we did at the WL just days before.
