Hello Everyone!

We just returned yesterday afternoon from our vacation in WDW and the AKL! We completely fell in love with AKL! When we visit the World next time we will definitely stay there again!

I don't have time right now to post a lot pics or chat as I have tons of laundry to do! Along with grocery shopping, UGH!! But I promise I will be back during the week to give you a little trip report with more pics.

Here are a few for now:

At nightime the animals in front of the AKL sign had little white lights all over them, very festive.

Front entrance where Magical Express dropped us off.

The famous AKL Christmas Tree in the Lobby. The photo definitely does not do it justice, it was so beautiful in person!

The Lobby seating area. I've never thought to just sit and relax in a lobby before, but it almost seemed like this lobby was calling us sit and enjoy the surroundings. Which we did take advantage of and enjoy.

This photo of the two giraffe was taken from the Sunset Overlook. I thought it was so cute when they came together like they were hugging each other. You can also see the construction of the Villas in the background. We did get an upgrade from Standard to Savannah, but we were above the Jiko restaurant roof so we could only see the very tops of the giraffes head. But the Overlook worked out well for taking photos.

I'm getting VEEERRRRYYY anxious!! We will be leaving for AKL in 26 days for our honeymoon. We will just miss the Christmas decorations as we will be arriving 1-6-08. I heard decorations go down on the 7th. So we'll maybe get to still experience them upon check-in. We plan to go to MK to see the lighting of the castle then hop over to MGM to check out the Osborne Lights, then dinner at Citrico's at 9:00pm, and finally our first night together at husband and wife, our first night at AKL, and our first night ever at WDW

I hope you get to see some of the decorations at the AKL, and the Castle and Osborne Lights are stunning! It sounds like you have your plans set, hope you have a great time at the AKL as "husband & wife!"

Definitely get those ressies for Boma made, while we were there we rearranged our day, thankfully we only waited about 1 hour to be seated (sometimes they don't even allow walk-ups) without an ADR. Yum-O!

Glad you enjoyed the pics, I will post more as soon as I get a chance. We had a wonderful time at the AKL, the staff were all very friendly and mousekeeping was stellar. I cannot wait to stay there again!

You MIGHT get to see them the day you arrive.

They're supposedly coming down either overnight on the 5th into the 6th, or overnight from the 6th into the 7th.

We arrive at AKL (well, AKV, actually...we're in the villas) on the 5th!

On another note, you'll have a GREAT trip. Make sure to let all the CM's know you're on your Disneymoon! We honeymooned at WDW back in 1999....and we had a GREAT time. It was such a magical trip!
