We just got back from our trip celebrating our 10th anniversary, and this is what I ordered from In Room Dining. It was in our room when we checked in.

Would you be so kind as to let us know exactly what you ordered and how much something like that might cost?? DF and I will be honeymooning next month (YAY i can FINALLY say 'next month'). I am always looking for small things I can do for DF to make the trip even more special.

Congratulations on the wedding! About a week before our vacation, I called in room dining and arranged to have zebra striped chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room upon arrival. I believe the base price was $3 per strawberry. I ordered six, and they added one at no charge. With gratuity, tax, and the room service trip charge, it came out to $25.61, which I thought was a bit pricey, but hey, it's Disney! I also thought it was well worth it. It was presented on a wooden board, which was decorated with chocolate swirls and Mickeys. They were already in our room when we arrived, and were large and absolutely delicious! You won't be disappointed!

Evening AKL fans! Although i wont be staying at the lodge next week , i will be dinning Boma for dinner. Its my first time trying Boma's dinner . I still cant wait ! Plus it will give me a chance to the lodge with the decorations.

After such a wonderful AKL stay in June i'm pricing up a Dec 08 stay today (hopefully i'll be all booked by the end of the day!!)

I just had a small question.

Does anyone know where i can find out about the construction schedule for 2008? I'm just trying to see how much it might affect our vacation as i think we were lucky in June and were unaffected

For the dates of your trip, all the construction should be done in the AKL building. The latest post that I have read said that the Jambo house (i.e. AKL) construction will be completing in Jan '08. In Dec 08 there will still be constuction at Kidani (new building) and I would suspect that they may also be working on the new savanna for Kidani.

Yes, I believe you will. Unfortunately I am not at home so I don't have my AKV stuff with me (i.e. the drawing that shows the 2 buildings). But it is to the left of Jambo house when you are facing Jambo (i.e. AKL) house from the parking lot. So I would assume that you will be able to see the construction from the rooms that overlook the savannah on the opposite side of the pool. Sorry, I can't remember which savannah that is.
