Here are a few Hidden Mickeys we saw around the AKL. My 6yo was really into looking for them this trip.

Where is that first hidden Mickey at the lodge? I always like looking for them when I am there.

I should have posted this with the pics, but I forgot!

I was lucky enough to catch the animals waiting to go back to the barn on video- they were hilarious! The giraffes kept running straight at the ankole cattle to make them scatter- "bowling for cattle!", and when the gates finally did open, the animals went in species order!

I posted it on YouTube- it's a little long, but if you pretend hard enough, you may be able to convince yourself you're there!

OOOH! I saw Robin in there. She did our Safari. :thumbsup2

That was in the Giraffe Trail elevator- on the bottom right when you are facing the door.

Do any of you decorate your door? I am going to! I will also be wearing my green Mickey head! I am a focker watcher!

Here is the door sign I am playing with:

Hi Y'all. I've missed everyone on this thread! My laptop was down for count and still is "in the shop." I was "Jonesin'," so I am on my boyfriend's laptop. Happy Valentine's Day. I do hope everyone can make it out of the snow in the North and come to Disney this Spring! It may be on the cool side here these days, but DAKL is still beautiful...even in the rain!

Okay, now back to adding how many DVC points I'll need to move into one of those new DAKL DVC villas for the rest of my life!

Hey Wallyb, I see you're from Bawsten! Me too, me too!

 Hey BensMom-
How is the hotel and the dining in Celebration?
I've always wondered.

...know what this place needs...some more of GDads's awesome pix.....:rolleyes1

Hey, Wallyb, let's get "KIMMAAAHH!" LOL She thinks she's funny! Well, just wait till baseball season when we get the new pitcha!

Wallyb, in all seriousness, the restaurants and accommodations in Celebration are great. There is only one official hotel here, and it's (go figure) the Celebration Hotel, a boutique-y little hotel, but beautiful and competitive rates for some of the higher end Dis properties (although not as handy). Celebration has a great cross-section of dining. A wonderful Japanese restaurant (Seito), a diner-type place called Market Street Cafe, a little pizza joint, a great Italian restaurant (Cafe D'Antonio) and a Cuban restaurant called Columbia Restaurant. Last but not least, if you are a sports fan from Boston, you gotta get here to eat at the Celebration Town Tavern. It's all the New England sports paraphernalia you'd want to see South of the Border! Of course, I feel like I'm living back in Boston here, but without the snow. The prices of the homes are pretty comparable (not cheap), so I really feel at home! LOL (unfortunately).

Kimmar, I should have known you were a Joisey Goil when you quote what exit you're off of! LOL Isn't that what they say when you live in Jersey? "What exit"?

Too funny.
