Oh it would belated alright By 4 months!

Then I would defiantely go for it and have a blast. We are celebrateing our anniversary a week early so why not a belated anniversary. Have fun!!

Kimmar I saw in your trip report you had dinner at Ohana. What kind of entertainment was there for the kids. Just the limbo contest or other things. Would Ohana be better than Kona Cafe???

Just full of questions today people. We are trying some new places this time around what do you all think of these choices:

Have been to Boma before and are going there twice Nov Trip.

New:
Crystal Palace Dinner - so kiddo can see Pooh his fav.
Le Cellier
Spoodles
Kona Cafe or Ohana cant decide. Help me pick!

Any suggestions on changing any of this would be great also. It is always so scary for me to pick new places but I am sick of the same old same old.

We are also gonna add the dining plan for the first time so any tips you have come across would be appreciated.

...we gone to O'Hana's twice and LOVE it....sometimes there are Hula Contests, too......

CrystaL Palace is nice and the characters are great to.
Le Cellier is also a nice choice.
Hmm never been to Kona Cafe but i have been to Ohana
Spoodles i have not been yet also.

I never done the dining plan . I usually go all the way with the Premium plan.
Although this time its the Platinum plan
But you can alot of the information on the dis board about the dining plan.

Thanks for the info we are probably gonna go to Ohana it sounds like a blast for the little one. The IPO is gonna kill me this is my 3rd switch.

Here's a reminder that AKL will be featured on the Travel Channel's Great Hotel series on Tuesday at 12:30 PM Eastern Time.

Our first stay at AKL and our first stay at Disney in 30 years (Do I hear a gasp from some of you?) is coming up in a few months. Speaking of restaurants, I was wondering how Boma and Jiko's compare to each other. We have reservations at Boma for dinner one night and breakfast one morning, and will be going on the Wanyama Safari that wraps up at Jiko's.

We've switched times on several reservations so far, and thankfully the IPO seems very patient, or at least Don does. Almost every time I've called, I gotten Don and am beginning to wonder if he ever has a day off.

Hey all. DH and I might change our ressie from Aug to december 2007. Now 2 questions. Even though our anniversary is in August we are sorta gonna be celebrating it in December. Should I leave the anniversary note on our ressie if we do go in december? And 2nd we would be going from Dec 3 - 13th. I know that this is a pretty good time to go down because its a lil slow so what do you think my chances are getting a free upgrade? Im not really expecting one, but just wondering.

What a coincidence! We'll be at AKL from 9th to 17th Dec 07 for our Disney Vow Renewal (at the wedding pavilion), and our anniversary is also in August, but we can no longer take August away from work. If you change your res we might see you there!

....if you will be going to WDW to celebrate a special occasion, it's the OCCASION that matters....I wouldn't be concerned about the actual DATE....and, YES, chances are that you might get upgraded....it has been my experience that, specifically AKL[maybe because of the uniqueness of the animals] really tries to upgrade their guests whenever possible...they know that, the better the view, the more likely the enjoyable vaca - hence, 'return of happy customers'.....

Hi All, When I made my reservations for the Lodge, I requested a standard room that is non smoking and has bunkbeds. I just received my package for our Sept. 23rd trip for a 8 night stay and it only states in the request section: Bunkbeds. Are most rooms non smoking? Should I call or just wait until I get there? Thanks for any help... -HarborWhaler

...which request is more important - the bunks or 'non-smoking'?? I would definitely call to re-request the 'non-smoking' [and, perhaps, explain that it is a health issue!].....

We were there, but didn't see anything (must have just missed it). Everyone this past week appeared to speak spanish only. There was some type of convention from people from South America/Spain (Liberty Mutual) and everyone there spoke spanish it seemed.

We saw the Sheriffs Department car there, but we were uncertain as to what had happened. We were too tired to care. LOL

We saw the sheriffs car, too. However, didn't pay attn to anything.
We saw many Liberty of Mutual people as well.

Oh yeah, i got the free upgrade from standard to Savannah View for free! We were on the Zebra trail and it was awesome. Saw the baby zebra and giraffe. We went to the Arusha trail to see if the view was better from that side, however we didn't notice any better view from that side even though there's alot of chat about the Arusha trail being the best.

We were upgraded (free) to the Zebra Trail as well. We were there from 8/25-9/2

Fellow NJ'er here, too. We were at AKL 8/25-9/2 and it was indeed awesome as I've reported. It was beyond our expectations and the only 'hiccup' that we were not prepared for was lack of drawer space. However, we quickly figured out a plan and made it work. The resort was fantastic, a must-do for us again.
