Hey ~ I was wondering because I'd never heard of anyone getting thier ADR confirmations mailed to them!! I wish they would do that!!!

Me too! That would be so so easy! Though, I did buy a Passporter and put all the confirmation numbers in it for quick reference, that should work well. Do you need these each time, or are they basically for just in case they loose your reservation?

Jambo does indeed mean hello in Swahili (sp?), but for the life of me I can't remember goodbye. I can remember it in Chinese however!!!

Hi all,
We are thinking of switching our May 2007 ressies to AKL! I don't think we could swing savannah view this time around. We're thinking of standard or pool view. It looks like pool view is only $50 more. When we stayed at AKL in May 05, we had savannah view. I don't know about the standard or pool views. What would you all recommend? I'm thinking for $50 more, we should get pool view.

If we get pool view, I'm thinking of requesting 3rd floor. Is that the floor where the lobby is? Is the bus service still as great as it was 2 years ago?

Hey all

I have not been doing a very good job keeping up this past week. I have been trying to work a lot so I can earn some extra $$$ before the trip. I think my bigger problem is that I keep thinking up things for us to do while down there. I have scratched a few more things off my to-do list this past week. I got a basket ordered from Peggy (just in the nick of time it appears), I purchased glow sticks, I made a packing check list. Now of course this week I need to order my DDE card, decide on a floral arrangement from Disney Florist (mom manages a flower shop and my sister has a gardening business on the side so I thought they might enjoy an arrangement), order a few more memory cards for the camera, book a carriage ride at POR.

I hope everyone on the thread is doing well Also to all of the new Jamobers out there. I sure hope kimmar is eating a lot of Zebra Domes for all of us ZDA members.

OMG Wendy we have only 18 days left till we are there!!! I can't believe it

Okay now a few questions.

1. Has anyone done anything with Private dining at AKL? I know they have the romance package thing for the baclony, but I'm not interested in that one. I was thinking about having goodies sent up to the room. Do you think I should try and arrange it ahead of time or once I arrive?

2. Anyone done the carriage ride at POR? How was is?

I found out today that my aunt in Ky passed away & that 1 of my cousins had a heart attack(age 46) & another cousin had a stroke(age 40).They are brother & sister & even though I have not seen them in a couple of years, we are close. My cousin Shelia that had the stoke is paralized on her left side

This all happened one after the other(my aunt passed away while Sheila was on her way to ER) & I was & am still very heartbroken over all of this. Hopefully I can get down their soon to be with them.

Janet I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt and cousins. I hope you are able to visit your family in the coming weeks. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Lisa!!!! OMG I know!!!! WE are really getting there now!!!! My DS is more excited about the Disney trip than his first day of 1st grade!!!! LOL

I think I'm all set with getting things............ I need to find an epcot passport for him, since I was gonna get that from Peggy!!!! I thought I'd wait till next week to order my basket from her, I guess I missed out, as she isn't taking orders anymore......... ......... It's OK though, I've got pretty much everything, so I'll just make the basket myself. As for private dining, we had considered the "romance" dinner, but we decided to nix it this trip, with the free dining, DH wants to eat at other places!!! LOL Anyway ~~ I can hardly believe we'll be there in a little over 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the romance package information that I have:
Savanna Romance Package for Two - served on your own private balcony $99.95
Your private Savanna feast includes:

I received the recipe for a Victoria Falls Mist from the AKL last year. One of the ingredients is citrus juice. If any of you order this drink, would you please ask the bartender what he uses for citrus juice?
