Jambo House Refurb

We just came back from a week's vacation at Jambo House and stayed in the far reaches of the Kudu Trail (higher 5300 rooms). Our wing was completed and the hallway and rooms closer to the lobby (lower 5300's) was a work-in-process all week. The rooms were well done with fresh paint and carpet and, in our case, a new sofa and sleeper chair and really had a 'new' feel to it. The hallways also had new carpet and paint.....FYI for those planning a near term trip.

What is your opinion on the before and after, color change to a lighter color?

Thanks for the update Were you in a studio? I ask because of the sleeper chair, which makes me wonder if the occupancy will change from 4-5?

I'm not sure of the color change, the last time we stayed at AKV was in 2010....but it was fairly bright in both the living room and bedroom. This was a one bedroom villa and it did have the sleeper chair...unfortunately I can't speak to the studio....

AKV 1-bedrooms (except Values) already have a sleeper sofa and sleeper chair. Value 1-bedrooms don't have a sleeper chair.

AKV is receiving only a soft goods refurbishment, so it's unlikely they will add the pull down bed in the Studios.

None of the concept art mentioned it. If I recall correctly, and I'm not done with my first coffee so no guarantee of THAT, the BWV and BCV concept art did show the murphy beds. It seems major enough that they'd have shown it and touted it were it occurring.

BCV & BWV are both getting a hard goods refurbishment. AKV is getting only a soft goods refurbishment.
