JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

Those onion rings look delicious! I can't wait to order those in a few weeks!

I hope it was one of those fast August storms that moved on quickly! I don't want to hear that rain spoiled her birthday!

We transferred from a resort to AK to AKV before and had the same thing happen...the skies opened up. We were the only dry people. The people running out of the park were soaked. (I guess it was the same time of day...those afternoon showers are pretty dependable!)

I love MM's choice for her bday lunch!! Beaches and Cream has such an awesome atmosphere!

Poor Jeff--he's such a keeper!

They are very dependable...we love it when there is no rain in the afternoons because most days that's rare, but this trip that was really the only afternoon that it was that bad!

She loved her choice and can't wait to get back there! He is a keeper isn't he?

Onion rings are my favorite guilty pleasure! They were so good! Unfortunately it didn't move on quickly but we enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the villa!

and the Tinkerbell carry on!!!
and the Mickey carry on for Lexi too.

I couldn't believe my luck, we were just talking about this yesterday.

I have never been to B&C...those sundaes look like yummy goodness.
Hmmm...maybe I should check it out.

Oh yes, those famous rain showers in August. Glad you found a dry place.

...I wish I was there to see Jeff jump at the thunder...

You're so right....you can be sure of one thing in August in Florida....afternoon rain showers! You would have laughed your head off....it was so funny!

Another thing we have in common Their pictures from Turks and Caicos were so beautiful...maybe that will be my trip for my 50th in 2014!

You and Jasmine definitely love that dessert don't you! That rain was unreal, we were actually in fits of uncontrolable laughter on the bus just thinking about how soaked we were going to get!

So - I'm confused - did Jeff keep filling up a bowl with the kitchen sink. Holy crap there was a lot of ice cream on those tables. Unbelievable! That kitchen sink looks crazy. I've heard the No Way Jose is pretty darn good. I've really got to over to Beaches and Cream. I've used it as a parking excuse several times. Now I need to really eat there.

I can't believe the rain. OMG! That is one serious deluge.

Yes, the four of them ordered the kitchen sink and they bring you out individual bowls to fill up...I think he had at least 10! Jasmine says she dreams about the No Way Jose, I have an anaphalactic allergy to peanuts so it just makes me sick

That rain was something....I just had to grab those shots because we couldn't believe it! Living on the prairies, we have seen some serious thunderstorms, but this one took the cake!

We were so thankful to be under that covered walkway up to AKL or we would have been soaked to the skin!

I was surprised when we went for the first time just how tiny it was!

I will never forget our first trip when Jasmine had just turned 6 and when this guy got into our vehicle she just about lost her mind! She didn't get the idea of actors and fake bullets...nope....screamed the rest of the ride!

As you can see again from this pic there was hardly anyone in TSM....

You should frame that picture. It's gotta be so rare that if you talk about it people won't believe you without proof.

From TSM we headed to the Backlot Tour which was a great idea on a very hot August day! We love the Earful Tower! Doesn't Jeff look tired!

Then the thing MM had waited all summer for .....THE KITCHEN SINK! Her, SW, Geodoc and Jeff would share this. It contains peanuts stuff so I couldn't have any...they said they would get it without but I know how much they all love peanut sauce so I wasn't going to take that away from them.

Peg and Jasmine ordered their favorite to share the No Way Jose...apparently they dream of this dessert

I ordered the Milky Way sundae....boy was it yummy, didn't look like I even put a dent in it but what I had I sure enjoyed!

Oh, boy. Ooohh, boy. I foresee multiple trips to Beaches n Cream in my future. Can you live on nothing but ice cream and sugar for a week?

There’s only one way to find out!!!!!

As we were leaving to catch the bus we wandered through the lobby and this was outside of Cape May....Jasmine thought it beautiful.

While we were waiting for the bus there was the biggest clap of thunder I have ever heard....guess who screamed like a girl and jumped on Jasmine! I'm telling you, we had laughed at Jeff on this trip, but that moment took the cake, the girls still talked about it for months after we were home! People at our bus stop and others also joined in the laughter!

Nah. I’m sure the big strong man was using his body to protect Jasmine and it was his warrior yell that you heard.

You are so right...it wouldn't have mattered if we had ponchos and umbrellas, we would have been drenched!

Yeah, they seem to like each other alotand we are kinda fond of him, so I guess we'll keep him around!

Funny how that child isn't scarred for life considering all the "bad" things her mother made her do that first trip....thank goodness her aunt and uncle were there to make everything all better, cause Lord knows, her mother was all about "try it, you'll like it"

I wanted to come on here today and let you all know that I have a little confession to make Remember how I said "we were buying new furniture so there would be no trip in 2012'...I kinda told a little white lie! Yes, I bought new furniture, but the whole time I knew we would be going. You see, with Jasmine starting University in the fall I wanted to surprise her with one last mother/daughter trip...well I sorta let the cat out of the bag by accident so attached please see the link to our brand new PTR!!!! I'm so glad I didn't miss too many updates (it is so hard catching up after being gone for even six days). Love your DHS morning and htat MM got to ride all her favorites. That is too funny about the Green Army man and looking at Jeff's muscles.

After seeing your update of Beaches and Cream, I am going to be sure Mark and I get there on our next trip (Mary, the kids and I never made it). It all looks so yummy.
