Looks like it was a great afternoon at the pool. Sounds like there was a little too much swimming and not enough drinking though. Just kidding!

The loungers at the AKL pool are comfy. I saw plenty of people taking naps in them back in march.

What a great afternoon! My DH can't float worth beans either. I think it has something to do with his body mass. He doesn't have enough fat on him. So he has a higher density. I, on the other hand, have no trouble floating. Plenty of lower density fat on me

Too funny that Jeff can't float. I actually have a friend that can't float either. I've heard that it's because there is not enough fat on their bodies to keep them buoyant. I wish that I couldn't float!!!

I love the AKL pool. It's just so pretty and well designed. There is nothing better than sitting by the pool and having some drinks.

OK - After I posted that I thought it might have sounded weird, but isn't this lodge pool normally a greenish color while the Kidani pool is blue or am I crazy?

Yes, I'm definitely an early riser....I was awake at 410am but stayed in bed hoping for more sleep!!

We didn't have a pool day when we went in Jan/Feb because it was too cold and after being in the World in August, I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth

We only started taking pool breaks when we started going in August which was 2006...before that I was a commando....up at the crack of dawn and back no earlier that 10pm!! I do enjoy the more relaxed pace now...could have something to do with getting older too I imagine

You are absolutely right...I only had one drink...which is wrong, completely wrong

I could definitely have napped in those loungers but that darn humidity and scorching temps prevented that from happening!!!

Me too! I did something really foolish the other day there and was checking flights to Orlando that are direct from Winnipeg! I want so badly to be back in my happy place....not going to happen unless the lottery fairies are looking out for me

I've heard that too. My bff's hubby can't float to save his life and he said it's because he doesn't have enough fat at the point, not gonna lie to you, I wanted to punch him

I have to tell you the truth, it was my favorite part of our days! I love getting back to resort and having that down time and then getting all ready to go back out for a wonderful evening....

Tee Hee, yes, I was up a little early this morning! I think she's right too...I reminded him that he used to tell Jasmine she wasn't working hard enough at the gym...again, I would have punched him

I noticed that too!!! I even went back to our pictures from 2009 and it was green then!!!

Whoa! Two in one day? I better hurry up and post on this update before the next one shows up!

Jasmine and Jeff ended up sitting at a table for two beside us and were half done their meals by the time I got the camera out

I got this mental image of two starving people wolfing down their food!

MM was trying to learn how to dive off of Jeff and Jasmine, but Jasmine couldn't keep her footing so I had to stand behind her and steady her...I was laughing so hard a few times, I was no help whatsoever

That's funny! I also like the fact that Jeff is right in there with MM and SW. I really like that about him. Instead of just focusing on Jas and ignoring the littler ones, he pitches right in.

This picture made me laugh, I was zooming in on Peg, SW and Geodoc when Jeff did his "signature" thumbs up /...pictures not the best quality, but it made me laugh that everyone was getting into the "thumbs up" mode!

Mini Montana finally gave up on Jeff, she didn't think he was trying hard enough to learn how to float so Jasmine took over! As soon as she would let him go, down he went....I eventually tried to teach him too...let's just say, none of us were successful!!!

Wait... isn't Jeff supposed to carry Jas and not the other way around? I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Up next.....dinner at our favorite restaurant!!!!

I love CHH! We ate there for the first time in March and the food was so good for CS! Didn't really care for the chowder but everything else was great! Seeing your updates and pictures from AKL makes me so excited to stay there next month! It's our first stay there and I cannot wait.....I totally fell in love with it when we walked into the lobby on our first family trip in Nov 09!

We like that about him too! He is fabulous with the girls and they just love him! He spends more time with them playing than Jasmine does...she has to work on her tan

I was going to order the chowder but then thought it was too hot for chowder and now I'm glad I didn't! You must be so excited about your upcoming trip...it truly is the best! I love the homey, warm feel it has, and the CM are second to none!

-I watched the Emmy's too! I really wanted some of the other shows/celebs to win, but I was so happy for Modern Family! I've never seen the show, but it's on my list of shows to watch!

-Love the fairy pics! I wanted to meet them on my last trip at toontown but by the time we got there at about 45 min. after park opening the line was already 55 min. long Oh well, there's always next time!

Makes me want to head over to the pool! Ive never actually been 'carded' to be there though... but I suppose it does make sense

Ive seen a lot of dust spots or humidity on camera... and im not sure thats what those are in the picture with the girls

The pool looks like it was a lot of fun! Afternoons spent swimming and goofing off in the water are the best.
Poor Jeff, floating doesn't seem to be his strong suit, but kudos to MM and Jasmine for trying to teach him!
