At Jambo, only the DVC rooms on the 5th floor are open.
Hotel rooms remain closed.
Pool/pool bar are open but no restaurants or store.

I am just going to stick my head in the sand on this one. I just booked early January in AKL in a club level studio. It was fine that the resort, and club level, were both closed this last trip in January 2021, and that there was no food at Jambo during the weekdays, because we could go to the Kidani pool, but if the Kidani pool is closed too this becomes a bit more challenging. Hopefully, Jambo will open fully before this happens.

I talked to a lady at the Mara yesterday when picking up breakfast and they are hoping to open for dinners again soon. Most of their staff are helping at Sanaa so I'm sure its a logistics thing, but she said limited menu dinner should return soon to Mara.

Can anyone confirm that the ONLY food/beverage option at Jambo currently is the Mara for breakfast? According to disney's website, the pool bar at jambo is CLOSED? (I know what's available at kidani.)

When I was there in January the Jambo pool bar was open on the weekends too. Otherwise, it was just the Mara for a limited breakfast.

Hello! Are any of the resort activities available right now? My kids love doing the bead activities, but I haven't seen anything about their availability in COVID times. Thanks!

The only resort activities at Jambo are poolside games like trivia. It might be different at Kidani.

Staying for a quick stay March 9-11. I'm arrive @9pm. Is there anywhere to pick up a bottle of wine or have a glass somewhere?

There will not be anything available at Jambo. The Sanaa lounge at Kidani is open until 11 and the Johari shop in the lobby of Kidani has bottles of wine. They are open until 10.

Mara has reopened during breakfast hours, but I do not think they’ve opened their drink station. If they have recently reopened the self-service drink station, it will not be available outside of breakfast hours. So the refillable mugs would be useful at Kidani but not at Jambo

We are staying June 27-July 2, and I'm so hoping by then things will have gotten a bit more back to something resembling normal. We specifically like Jambo b/c of The Mara. I have a huge aversion to cooking on vacations, lol. I'd love for Jiko and Boma to be open, too, but we'll see. If I can just get a Mickey waffle to go...*sigh*

We have 5 nights booked in a value 1BR in October, but I split the reservation into 2 nights and 3 nights. I did this because if Jambo isn't open yet, we may decide to split our stay and do a studio for the first 2 nights and then a standard 1BR at Kidani for the last 3 nights. It isn't looking promising at this point, is it? I wonder where AKL sits on the priority list for reopening? I almost think it is behind POR/POFQ and BWI...

I think Jambo is likely one of the last resorts to open, unfortunately. The Kidani 1BRs are so nice, they always tempt me!!!
