Jake the pirate?

I have a 4 year old who loooooves Jake the pirate, is Hollywood and Vine the only place to see him? He isn't into the other characters there so I didn't want to use a dining credit to eat there unless it is the only place to see him. Thanks for any info!

I believe he still has a meet near the Disney Junior show in Animation Courtyard at DHS.

My son met Jake the Pirate right near Disney Jr. show... he was out basically all day. Only character that I could not find (that my son LOVES) was Captain Hook. Never saw him at a meet and greet.. only shows and parades. My son was devastated.

Oh no! Maybe since he is considered a "villian" he isn't as popular for the meet and greets? My son loves captain hook and mr. Smee also, I hope he will be happy just seeing Jake if they're not available.

We saw Jake outside of Disney Jr, too. It was a total surprise, we had no idea, and my son was over the moon!! Cool thing was, there was a loooong line for Sophia, but we walked right up to Jake. My son was wearing his Jake costume too (which I guess isn't sold in parks, or wasn't, so it was really fun for him!).

We did Hollywood and Vine last year, and will be doing it again. My boys loved the Disney Jr. characters, and we all thought the food was fantastic, especially for a buffet. We think it's a great use of a TS credit! Have fun!

If you are very lucky, you may be able to meet Mr. Smee in either Epcot character training location (my DD met him there a couple years ago) or in DHS Characterpalooza. I think Captain Hook may turn up there sometimes. But either meet is complete by chance and random. Check the kennythepirate link from my earlier post for details on this.

If you want to see them, they are both in the Festival of Fantasy parade in MK.

Pirates and Pals fireworks voyage has both Mr. Smee and Captain Hook (and Peter Pan later). I've heard really good things about it, but never been on it myself

So my daughter is a huge Jake fan. When we went in October, we did the Hollywood and vine meal. It was totally worth it - the character interaction was the best of any character meal. they (Jack, Sophia, etc) dance with the kids and spend a lot of time at each table. my dd doesn't care for Sophia or Handy Manny but still liked it a lot. Also, we did the Pirates and Pals fireworks boat ride and it was awesome for her. she dressed up like Izzy and then got to meet Hook and Smee. She loved it... They spent aLot of time with her - she was hugging them and loving every second of it. Hook showed her his hook - it was so cool. There was a ton of desserts and snacks. We also watched the festival of fantasy parade 2x bc there is a huge tick tock float.

I would check out the Jake package at Pirates League in MK. We did this a few years ago and hopped over to DHS to meet Jake and then right back to MK in time for the pirate parade. Here is a pic of my son from that day...
