Jaime's Flower Power Trip! NEW 7/05 CH. 62: The "Really" End **COMPLETED**

Jaime,
I went on vacation for a couple of weeks and got back just in time to read oh- about 20 pages - and then be here for the final post! I would've been reading while I was gone but my sister still has DIAL UP! They're like cave people! :lmao:

Anyhoo... glad I didn't miss the WHOLE thing! Anxiously awaiting the finale...popcorn:: ~nicole

CHAPTER 61: The End – DAY 9: SUNDAY, MAY 6, 2007

I am supposed to meet Rhonda and Sandy about 9, I think, for breakfast… but the phone rings before that – they are ready, am I? We have extra time, so let’s head out to Egg Harbour Café.

It’s a breakfast place. "Yum" just about sums it up!

It felt weird to eat without taking pictures first! :lmao:

We go home and about 12:30 the phone rings again. Sandy is still there. The town car hasn’t shown up and she’s leaving messages at every number she has for the place (it is a Sunday!)

So Meg and I head over and we give Mia & Mom their presents. Mom loved the German bell and Mia threw the Mickey Mouse apron at Rhonda and threatened to go live with her friend, Sue, again.

The town car people finally get back to Sandy – the order for the car got lost! They were sending one immediately.

Well, the way we all ran out of the house – you think we’d never seen a car before!!!

YAY! Bring it on :) I loved your report, as usual. what a fabulous storyteller you are! I'll see you on the new thread :teleport:

Hi Jaime, Hey, I"m all caught up! Um, ok, where is everybody?
Easy, easy! Don't look at me in that tone of eyebrow.

This was another great trip report, you are now the Princess of Berwyn!
A lot of laughs, and a lot of info too.
I do have a question for you though concerning AKL.
I see in the rates page that they must have 6 different categories of rooms now. When we stayed there in '02 , it was empty, but I know there wasn't that many choices, theyk just put us in a savannah room. I know you got a balconey with a savannah view, but what type did you request? Was it the cheapest room? We paid 129 a night back then, and got animal views with bunk beds. Well, the animals didn't have bunk beds. We did. Although we didn't request them. Now that room goes for about 330 a night! Please let me know. Ok, see ya, great job again. steve

So glad you could join us, Steve - except we're all on the pre-trip now! :lmao:
FYI - I was ALWAYS the Princess of Berwyn! princess: I just keep misplacing my crown!

We didn't have a savannah room - we had a bus stop room. View 'o the parking lot. Cheapest room you can get. And we got a heck of a discount on it, too! We almost got upgraded to the bunk beds (probably still a standard view), but I screwed it up. It should have been $265 a night and I think we got it for $195 or $175... something like that.

We were supposed to be at POFQ for $165 a night with free PH & water park. Doing the upgrade to AKL cost $76 more per person. Total, not per night. And that included buying the park hoppers!

Jaime-

It was great! What fun you ladies had! I can't wait to read September's fun, fun in the sun, sun... hot, hot... in the humid trip report! I hope your limb is all healed up!

Thanks for that, I've throughly enjoyed your trip report, and past a very pleasant afternoon at work (shhh!)
