Jaime's Flower Power Trip! NEW 7/05 CH. 62: The "Really" End **COMPLETED**

Those cross stitch designs are just beautiful. I'm so glad you went back to get it. I saw a T-shirt all over WDW last Jan. that I wanted to get and I told myself I would get it at DTD. It took me so long to find it there that I just wished I'd gotten at the first place I saw it.

Great installment, as usual.

Hey all,

My family and I are going to Disney next weekend, but we're planning to visit all 4 parks in a day (We have 1 day left off our park hopper tickets) :dance3: . I am trying to make plans accordingly, but the one thing we must do is go see the Extreme Motor Stunt Show at MGM... So we can stay on target, does anyone happen to know the schedule for this upcoming week? We'll likely be there Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks! :hourglass

IF NEBO DOESN'T HAVE TO DO AN UPDATE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT, THEN NEITHER DO I!!!!!!!

Just a couple of replies:

Nicole - We have apparently been separated at birth - I also thought I could get away with 4 episodes of a soap I hadn't watched in 23 years... guess again!

And I just found out TODAY, oddly enough, that my cable company has added SoapNet! (those are angels you all hear singing, not cidadas! Which, by the way, Berwyn does not have - all the neighboring towns do, but not Berwyn.)

ETA: I met Patrick Drake, you know! (yes, I know he's an actor, but he's so yummy, leave me alone!)He and the guy who plays Dillon came to a local mall and me and a bunch of Rick friends went and hung out for the day.

OMG I just started reading your trip and came upon this post. Apparently Rick will be on GH this summer while touring. I get to see him in August here in NJ and I am in row E. :) Bounce.

Amy - You complimented this photo -

thank you

I must say my AIM has improved since September, 2005, when I shot THIS:

:lmao:

If you put those together it will be one pic. :)

Kim - :welcome:

How long did it take for you to get through this report??? Don't you have to pack or something? :lmao:

Have a great trip - will you do a trip report? Are you going to the Daytime Emmys?

Nebo sent me over here and I've just spent several hours :lmao: reading! I really loved the Ruth episode!

I love that "Past, Present, Future" one. It always gets me a little weepy.

Mia, Rhonda, and I are planning to buy a house in Florida in fall, 2009, when Mia and Rhonda retire. We are going to have a Mickey Mouse kitchen. Rhonda has a list of the items she has already bought for the kitchen and my contributions are a Mickey breadbox and a Mickey clock.

I have been hanging back as a lurker reading your every word with greedy awe but I have to comment on this part.

Last night I had a dream that I found Mickey linoleum. It was done in the black and white checkerboard fashion and every square had a different mood of Mickey. I was so thrilled in the dream. Then you mentioned Disney kitchen and I had to share.

Thanks for making the long wait til our next trip a little more bearable. :hourglass

Winkers - :welcome:

I feel like I know you already from reading nebo's report! And I know you were starting a report - I think about the same time I was... I remember the pretrip... I'm heading over to check out the report now (I peeked last night and saw tons of pictures - including some of Figment, so I'm in!)

BHK -

I'm charging the camera batteries right now so I can showe you how far I've gotten on my project. I think I've gotten a lot done in just a few weeks, but I know there's still a TON to do. Luckily, I love doing it!

So, if you need me in the evenings or on the weekend, I'm either updating this report, or sitting in front of 90210 reruns on SoapNet and crossstitching!

I'm honored to be your first post!

Wow! That must have been a very busy-looking floor! We saw a picture of someone's house - I think they lived in PA - and the kitchen floor was white with a big black Mickey Head at the entrance. We thought we could do something like that. Mia said she'd go live with Sue. Again. :rotfl:

When is your trip?

I would like to see some of your Disney cross stitching. I did that many, many, and one more many years ago. My last project was a Cookie Monster for Jill. He was very cute eating his little cookie and all. I got his legs finished, but then I had another child and another, and I never finished him. He went away into a nice little craft bag, and I had every intention of finishing him someday. He lived in the craft bag until Jill was married. I teased that I would finish it for one of her kids, but he was yellowed and worse for the wear by then. I didn't want to part with him, even though he was still only legs, but one day when I was in one of those "throw all the clutter out" moods, I finally gave him up. His legs still live on in my heart, though, and I think that will always be on my list of regrets - that I never finished him. Every time anyone mentions cross-stitching, Cookie comes to my mind immediately. I hope you'll post some of your Disney, or any other, cross-stitching for us to see.

HIGHS: Breakfast at Tusker House; finding DeVine!!!; Ruth’s Kali/Poncho episode; Big River Grill lunch; Art of Disney cross stitch

LOWS: Concierge Witch; Ruth/Laundry episode; Ruth/Dancing with the Stars episode; ALL BUSSES ON DISNEY PROPERTY TODAY!!!

Wow! The end of DAY 5! I can't believe how fast this is going... maybe I shouldn't update every day, huh? ;)

PS - In Word, this report is up to 67 pages - that's just what I've posted so far! We still have 3 days to go.

MeMom - Your Cookie Monster story makes me want to give you this:

I can't begin to tell you how many half finished projects have been dumped or are under my bed. Sshhhhhh......... :cutie:

Here are the pictures I promised, and a few I thought I'd take while I was wandering around the house with the camera!

HERE'S THE CROSS STITCH - IT'S SO LARGE, I HAD TO GET A RACK TO WORK ON IT. FINISHED IT WILL BE 18" X 24".

Hi Jamie!

I read, with enthusiasm and a split spleen, your Sept trip with your 2 daughters. It was hilarious. I also appreciate your pictures and your fast-up-to-date-posts!

I am sorry you had problems w the concierge...next time try the POLY! Alohas are never deemed PIC.

Your matching shirts were really cute too!
Can't wait to read the rest.

Thanks

The longest count down was 717 days. That was before we knew any better:confused3

CHAPTER 35: Lights! Camera! More Lights! – DAY 6: Thursday, May 3, 2007

PLANS:
Day Off – I’m not known for "relaxing" days off though! Today includes mini golf (they open at 10, so we can sleep in today!), Downtown Disney, surrey bike (at the Wilderness Lodge? Seems like their terrain might be F-L-A-T), and Hoop Dee Doo… told you…not so relaxing… :rolleyes1

BREAKFAST: Snack credit in food court
LUNCH: Cap’n Jack’s (OOP)
DINNER: Hoop Dee Doo – 7:15pm (TS17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24)

REALITY: We were going to sleep in today – for me in Disney, that means 7am! No one wants to take a morning safari with me – so I’m off on my own to photograph the resort some more. I finally find the herd of Ankole cattle… they had been hiding from me all week!
