I am teary over your parents paying for your engagement dinner at CG. SO sweet!

And it looks yummy. As does lunch at Le Cellier!
Aww thank you. My parents are very sweet. Lunch at Le Cellier was excellent. You cant go wrong with cheddar cheese soup & pretzel bread.
Great review so far.... and congrats on the engagement...

I cant wait to get back down there...
Thank you. I cant wait to get back down there too
Only two years to go!
What a great review this is !! Many congrats and wishes for years of future happiness for the both of you !!
But, I gotta ask... WHAT in the WORLD is under that steak ??
We can't figure it out ...
Miniature avocados ? lol....
Do tell.
Thanks so much!
Angelrose is correct they are baby zucchini. Thanks Angelrose
Great reviews. I'm really enjoying your report.
Joshua_me, those are baby zucchini underneath the steak. I bet they were so tender and tasty.
Thank you!
Awe... your parents are totally cool! Congrats on your engagement...
Thanks. I'm very lucky to have such amazing parents.
Well I stumbled upon your dining reviews and am now hooked. Especially with the whole engagement story! Still have lots to catch up on! Too bad my sister wasn't your server! I'm desperate to find SOMEONE who has had her... just out of curiosity
EDIT: Phew, all caught up. What a beautiful engagement story. Hope mine will be like that some day

We're the same age woot woot! Loved your Cali Grill review. Can't wait to eat there on my upcoming trip (2 more days!) I see you ate multiple times at Tokyo Dining. Mind if you share your review with me a little early? I'm debating having dinner there on my upcoming trip but don't know if it's any good. I love sushi and eat it frequently here in T.O.
There was a server named Yoshi?

I must meet this person!!! I'm the biggest Yoshi fan (from the Nintendo games I mean

)
I was so sure your sister was my server. Your description of her sounded so similar to my waitress. Too bad.
Thank you. I really enjoyed Toyko Dining. It's one of my must do restaurants at Disney. Chris and I tend to pay OOP and just order of the sushi menu. Its really affordable. They have a really good Spicy Tuna Roll and Sweet Potato Roll. The view of world showcase is also beautiful from Toyko Dining. I would definitely recommend going there.

Where do you go in T.O. for sushi? Im in a desperate need to find a good sushi place. I used to go to a place called New Generation but now its starting to going downhill.
Oops. I should have been clearer.

Yoshi is the sushi chef at California Grill. Her sushi is amazing. Yoshi is in the Disney Planning Video so every time I see her I feel like Im meeting a Disney celebrity. And yes she does remind me of the Nintendo character!
Hi!! I just wanted to say Congrats! Your ring is beautiful!!
Great dining reviews so far
Thanks Lynn!
Awhile back I lurked on your wedding TR. Your wedding was so beautiful! It was one the reasons I started dreaming of having a DFTW one day! So thank you.
Just read through everything so far. How great of your parents to pay for that meal! That was such a good idea!
I'm planning on being a 2011 Disney bride too. We're hoping for March though. Have you planned anything yet? We've been engaged for a year alreay and the time has flown past, I'm scared about how quickly the next year is going to go, because it feels like we haven't planned anything yet at all!!
Me too! That's exactly what I was thinking when I read that!
Congrats on your engagement! Yay for another 2011 Disney Bride! In all honesty Ive been secretly dreaming about a Disney wedding for years, all thanks to the wonderful Disbrides on the wedding forum.

I have some preliminary stuff planned. My DF wants to have the ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion (I always thought Id have the ceremony at Sea Breeze Point), Id love to have the reception at California Grill, followed by an Illuminations Dessert Party. Were hoping to have around 20 guests so Im not sure if it will be cheaper to go with an Escape or the Wishes package. Things will probably change as we get closer. Its so hard because you cant really have anything 100% planned until 1 year to 8 months out with Disney. Have you check out Carries (Lurkyloos)
Disney Weddings and Honeymoons e-book? Its excellent!

Its helped me so much with my preliminary planning.
I forgot to mention that Yoshi is the sushi chef at California Grill. It would have been neat if it was Yoshi from Nintendo.
