Jacksonville to Port Canaveral

I need help!

For our cruise, we need to get from Jacksonville to Port Canaveral. I know nothing about Florida, being from Los Angeles, but it looks like there isn't a train that goes that way.
How would you suggest we travel? Rent a car? Bus?

I'd probably rent a car. Although there seem to be several Florida Shuttle bus services available.

Your best bet would be to rent a car. It is straight south down I-95, to Highway 528 east, to the port; about 3.5 hours travel time at normal highway speeds.

No you posted at the same time it was not a reference to you, I saw this thread and left it for local experts to answer it, rather than West Coasters.

Unfortunately Florida is a public transit wasteland so your best bet is a rental car. Depending on where in Jax you are starting it should be a 2.5 to 3 hour drive to the port.

We live in Jacksonville, and yes your best bet would be to rent a car. It's a pretty quick drive as we've done it a couple times.

It's a couple of hours south on I-95 and a quick trip over to the coast. Rent a car. It can be returned near the terminal (take the shuttle to the terminal).

let this be your guide to choosing a company: These are the ones close to the port - they all run shuttles. Loaction is Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach (NOT Port Canaveral)
