You guessed it, Stitch woke us up bright and early at 6.30AM. We were up pretty fast. Im not gonna lie, even though I was expecting Stitch, that wake up call scared the
. Outta me! I got dressed while John left to refill our mugs. He came back and said he really enjoyed the walk. He said he enjoyed the wildlife so much and made friends with a little bunny on the path to OPR. We headed to the bus stop
and ended up making it to AK right as it was opening.
We immediately headed to EE to grab FPs.
After grabbing FPs for Everest (line was already HUGE!), we headed over to Johns most anticipated ride for AK Kilimanjaro Safaris. Pretty much walked right on. Here I am waiting to board and Im glistening ( my feminine word for sweating

)
The animals were really up and about. Last time I rode, it was brand new, so I just kind of thought that this time was better with a lot of better views of the animals. Ill try not to bore you with the obligatory safari pics! I was pretty impressed with my $100 camera though!
Afterwards, we headed over to ride Dinosaur. On our way we saw a Mama Duck and babies just hanging out on the streets, it was so adorable.
Stopped for a quick snap in front of EE
Were walking along, when who do we see? That one bug guy from that one bug movie. It took me a couple seconds
Duh! Flik from a Bugs Life, you know the attraction! Doh.
Wasnt the best character to meet for the first time. He was kinda creepy! He chestbumped John as a way to say Treat her right on her birthday. At least thats what the Character Attendant said. Oh and the Character Assistant asked me if I was turning 15?! Hello? Do I look 15? Okay. Maybe. But still. As I picked up my ego, we headed again to Dino and saw that TTBABug only had a 5 minute wait. So we walked on.
John said the flash was 3D, thus the expression on his face.
John and I loved this one! For some reason, I totally forgot the stinger thing so It scared the
outta me! We finally made it over to Dinoland.
It was a 20 minute wait, but it was nice and air conditioned so we enjoyed waiting. I really thought John was gonna be the scared-y pants on this one, but when I knew the Dino part was coming up I just closed me eyes and screamed! It still scares me so bad! I cant help it. Maybe it was Jurassic Park as a kid, but that huge Dino scares me!
We saw these guys on our way outta Dinoland, they were really neat!
John went in a shop and bought the best investment a lanyard with a FP/Ticket Holder. Day one and he was already tired of keeping up with his FP. I would soon be very jealous and be on the hunt for one myself.
Finally, we headed over to Everest.
Walked past all the suckers in the stand-by line, and loaded pretty soon. Neither of us really liked it. I know I know we must be crazy, but it was just too rickety for me, it made me a little sick. It threw my balance off and we just decided that we didnt like it. We could say we did it, but that was about all. The crowds had begun to thicken, and John just couldnt hold his excitement. It was only 11AM, and we had done all the majors on our list, and we just werent in the mood to look at animals. We go to the zoo at home all the time and we were just in go go go mode, so we made the decision. Off to MGM. We decided that we would be at opening everyday from now on - it is so worth it! I spotted a PhotoPass Photog and we got our first PP picture!
We got a few more and headed to the MGM bus stop.
