Yay! I can't wait for our trip!!!! Sooo pysched to read your TR!!!:thumbsup2

Awwww....that is so sweet that your boyfriend dressed up like that! :lmao: Just kidding. Your doggy is adorable! And I am patiently awaiting your TR...

I split my first installment into two pieces because I'm not sure how many pics you can put in one post. If anyone can tell me, please do!

To begin today, we must do a little backtracking. Monday, we packed up all of our things, checked in online and received A’s, and headed off to drop off the little one. We spent the day celebrating my birthday with family and finally headed to bed around 9ish, although I know I didn’t get to sleep until at least one. Not much too soon later, I heard the clock ding 5 times and I was up faster than Christmas morning. By 6 o’clock we were out the door and to the airport, arriving in good time for our eight oclock flight. John was so excited and I was on the verge of asking anyone for some Xanax ( I hate flying!) but I kept it all inside because I was just so happy to be on our way to Disney, and to experience flying for the first time through someone else’s eyes. All of our flights went just fine and pretty fast and it was really pretty to fly over the coast.
7.jpg

Soon enough we had landed at MCO and boarded the tram to claim our luggage. We were glad everyone else on our flight knew where they were going, cause we just followed the cattle! We loved the beautiful scenery on the tram, we were in FLORIDA!
001.jpg

As soon as we headed down the escalator, we saw “the guy with our name sign” and he earned his tip by grabbing our luggage and taking our picture in front of our snazzy SUV.
10.jpg

Murray Hill transportation was excellent and we will definently use them again. On our way to WDW, he shared all the cool little tidbits about Orlando and Disney and it was an entertaining ride. And this neat photo was a definite plus:
11.jpg

John was amazed by the pure size of Disney! I refrained from saying I told ya so! At check-in, they explained to us that all of Disneyland could fit in the MK parking lot! Soon enough, we saw this
12.jpg

We pulled into the Custom House, paid our driver and before we knew it, bell services had already taken our luggage. We were so overwhelmed! As we walked towards the door, a doorman swung open the door and said, “Welcome Home to Carribean Beach, Enjoy your stay.” At this point, I was so happy to be here I tried not to tear up! We checked in at about 4:30 and were told that we got “upgraded” to a king bed room (which I thought- yay! A corner room!), 1st floor, building 42 in…..Jamaica! YAY!! Everything was going so perfectly and so smoothly! We had a really funny CM that was close to our age and he made us laugh a lot. It was a great check-in….until he said our room wasn’t ready! What?! Its 4 freaking 30?! Oh, well. He told us to check out OPR and call a number at 5. We got our birthday button and first timer button and caught the bus to OPR. I was too excited to eat but we bought our refillable mugs.
15.jpg

John was starving, so he got Pizza, Salad and Strawberry Cheesecake (CS). Sorry, I ended not taking many pictures of food, we were either too hungry or forgetful. John said it was very good, it reminded me of pizza we used to get at Chuckie-Cheese as a kid. As I was fillinf my $12 mug with water, a CM walked up to me and handed me a pretty pink balloon and said Happy Birthday. Adding even more excitement to an already overwhelming trip, I was just so excited to get our room and head to MK!
14.jpg

Srry, its crooked. Ill fix it later. It was already a little after 5 and we called our special little number and were told our room wasn’t ready, and wouldn’t be ready until 6! Instead of getting angry, we decided to walk over Carribean Cay and we found ourselves on the Jamaica beach, laying in a hammock. It was 5:30 and I was getting restless so we called the number again and they told us the magic words “Your room is ready – 4212!” Here I am happily walking to our room
16.jpg

We opened the door and found a pretty big room. I don’t know if it was because it was a corner king room or not, but it was close to being HUGE. Enough room to leave our crap strung out all over the floor.
19.jpg

As you can see in the photo, John’s leaning over to hit the luggage button. We originally called them, at about 5:30 and didn’t get our luggage until 7:30! Very aggravating. As I walked over to the phone I saw this little fella
18.jpg

We tipped housekeeping everyday but never got another towel animal. Our view of the courtyard
20.jpg

CBR was very lush and beautiful. Much more than I expected. Our room was fairly close to the Bus Stop and a hop from the village pool. A little after 7:30, we hopped a bus to MK and there she was..
21.jpg

We headed right to Space Mountain. We walked right up and saw the 90 minute wait time. We kind of just stood there with dumb looks on our face as I tried to think where we could go next, etc. As we were standing there, a lady just walked right up to us and said “Hey, you guys want 2 FP? My husband got em and I just HATE that ride.” I think my mouth dropped straight to the floor. As we said thank you, I thought how perfectly our trip was going…and who needs the Dream Team? Psshh. We FP Buzz (30 minute wait) and hopped right on Space Mountain. John LOVED it. We did Buzz and I secretly let John beat me...
22.jpg

23.jpg

We walked over to Fantasyland and walked on IASW.
25.jpg

26.jpg

27.jpg

That’s what John thought of it. Can’t blame em. It is just a tad bit creepy.
Next we headed over to Splash Mountain. The wait said 50 minutes but we didn’t really care to stand in it. I was getting a bit cranky and tired because I hadn’t ate seen 5 that morning, and that was only yogurt. So as soon as we got off Splash, we walked into Pecos Bills just as Wishes had started. I had the cheeseburger, yogurt and they gave me 2 Free Bday Chocolate Chip cookies, which John ate.  We headed over into Adventureland and whaddya know? Pirates has 0 minute wait. We walked right on. That was pretty amazing. I was planning on spending many minutes waiting for Mr.Depp but we walked right on. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. I could tell John was just overwhelmed and soaking it all in and it was so fun to experience Disney this way. After Pirates, I realized that we were in Adventureland – Dole Whip – Hello! We got in line and John got the Dole Float and I got the Dole Whip. It was love at first taste for the both of us.
29.jpg

It was here, on our very first night, that we started what we call our “Disney tradition.” We sat on “our bench” between Adventureland and the Hub, with Crystal Palace directly behind us and ate our Dole Whip/Floats with hardly anyone around. We watched the castle change colors with the music and savored every minute. Everytime this trip, and every continuing one, we will do this at the end of our MK day, at least we say. We ended up leaving MK at 11:05 (after waiting about 15 min for a bus) and we got back about 11:15. Called it a day, Stitch was going to call us bright and early!

We checked in at about 4:30 and were told that we got “upgraded” to a king bed room (which I thought- yay! A corner room!), 1st floor, building 42 in…..Jamaica! YAY!!
Wow...brings back memories to me. Rob & I were upgraded on our honeymoon at CBR to a king room in building 42 of Jamaica too!!!!

Loving your report & pictures. You are too cute!

Great trip report! Can't wait to hear more!

I also want LOTS more photos of both CBR and ASMu. We are staying at CBR for 4 nights in September and I am leaning heavily toward spending our first nite at ASMu. (CBR isn't available so it's down to ASMu, CSR or WL, obviously at different prices!)

Look forward to more installments and many more pics and comments about CBR and ASMu. :)

Lots of CBR pics and ASMu as well, its really hard to transfer the pics from his Mac to my PC so its all in time! :goodvibes We really enjoyed ASMu alot more than we figured we would. I recommend it. The rooms are much smaller, but we didnt need the space. I'll save the other details for my TR, but we really enjoyed ASMu, especially the what we "got" for the price.

Thank You! I still have stuff in suitcases, but I choose to write a TR! :rotfl: Talk about priorities!

You guessed it, Stitch woke us up bright and early at 6.30AM. We were up pretty fast. I’m not gonna lie, even though I was expecting Stitch, that wake up call scared the …. Outta me! I got dressed while John left to refill our mugs. He came back and said he really enjoyed the walk. He said he enjoyed the wildlife so much and made friends with a little bunny on the path to OPR. We headed to the bus stop

and ended up making it to AK right as it was opening.
S6300410.jpg

We immediately headed to EE to grab FP’s.
S6300411.jpg

After grabbing FP’s for Everest (line was already HUGE!), we headed over to John’s most anticipated ride for AK – Kilimanjaro Safaris. Pretty much walked right on. Here I am waiting to board and I’m “glistening” ( my feminine word for sweating :) )
S6300413.jpg

The animals were really up and about. Last time I rode, it was brand new, so I just kind of thought that this time was better with a lot of better views of the animals. I’ll try not to bore you with the obligatory safari pics! I was pretty impressed with my $100 camera though!

S6300423.jpg

S6300424.jpg

S6300426.jpg

Afterwards, we headed over to ride Dinosaur. On our way we saw a Mama Duck and babies just hanging out on the streets, it was so adorable.
S6300433.jpg

Stopped for a quick snap in front of EE
S6300439.jpg

We’re walking along, when who do we see? That one bug guy from that one bug movie. It took me a couple seconds…Duh! Flik from a Bug’s Life, you know the attraction! D’oh.
S6300441.jpg

Wasn’t the best character to meet for the first time. He was kinda creepy! He chestbumped John as a way to say “Treat her right on her birthday.” At least that’s what the Character Attendant said. Oh – and the Character Assistant asked me if I was turning 15?! Hello? Do I look 15? Okay. Maybe. But still. As I picked up my ego, we headed again to Dino and saw that TTBABug only had a 5 minute wait. So we walked on.
S6300442.jpg

S6300443.jpg

John said the flash was 3D, thus the expression on his face.
S6300444.jpg

John and I loved this one! For some reason, I totally forgot the stinger thing – so It scared the … outta me! We finally made it over to Dinoland.
S6300447.jpg

S6300448.jpg

S6300450.jpg

It was a 20 minute wait, but it was nice and air conditioned so we enjoyed waiting. I really thought John was gonna be the scared-y pants on this one, but when I knew the Dino part was coming up I just closed me eyes and screamed! It still scares me so bad! I can’t help it. Maybe it was Jurassic Park as a kid, but that huge Dino scares me!
We saw these guys on our way outta Dinoland, they were really neat!
S6300452.jpg

John went in a shop and bought the best investment – a lanyard with a FP/Ticket Holder. Day one and he was already tired of keeping up with his FP. I would soon be very jealous and be on the hunt for one myself.
Finally, we headed over to Everest.
S6300458.jpg

S6300459.jpg

Walked past all the suckers in the stand-by line, and loaded pretty soon. Neither of us really liked it. I know I know we must be crazy, but it was just too rickety for me, it made me a little sick. It threw my balance off and we just decided that we didn’t like it. We could say we did it, but that was about all. The crowds had begun to thicken, and John just couldn’t hold his excitement. It was only 11AM, and we had done all the “majors” on our list, and we just weren’t in the mood to look at animals. We go to the zoo at home all the time and we were just in go go go mode, so we made the decision. Off to MGM. We decided that we would be at opening everyday from now on - it is so worth it! I spotted a PhotoPass Photog and we got our first PP picture!

We got a few more and headed to the MGM bus stop.
