To be honest...I never know. I wish people would stop posting things on social media and caption it IYKYN (If You Know, You Know). Have pity on those of us who don't know.

Other social media things that drive e crazy:

Posting a math problem or a riddle and then never posting the answer. I never know which of the 256 guesses in the comment is the correct answer.

Making a Tik Tock video about another video or photograph and not posting the original or a link to it. I would love to appreciate your take on the situation but I ain't spending my day looking for the original content.

What are your social media pet peeves (other than people posting random rants on message boards)?

I totally agree especially with what I call the full/partial sentence acronyms. :)

Obviously fake A.I. created “photos.”

They can’t even spell Market correctly in this one. Plus “Grade Fiesh Meats” and what the heck is “Mesion”?

They got “Market” right this time but I know for a fact that Wawa never sold those items advertised on the window signs.

Never heard of that acronym before it was posted here. Assume it was some texting thing where it seems like everyone uses abbreviations/acronyms instead of typing out the words. I get the impression that lonely people on social media make vague posts in order to get people to engage with them.

The biggest pet peeve I have has to do with posting on Facebook. Someone posts a question and then 235 people respond with the same answer. Seriously!!!! Just look at the first 5 answers and see that the question was answered! Disney groups are notorious for this!

I hate when people post vague things like, "OMG!!!! Best day of my life!" Or "So sad, why did this happen........"

then everyone is commenting, what's wrong? What happened? Are you okay?
Yes, yes and yes!
Drives me crazy! I refuse to comment.
If I think something is truly awful for someone I’ll text them to see what’s going on and if they need anything.

I’m not a fan of the Happy Heavenly Birthday posts.
I told my DD21 that when I die, to please not do this. If you want to remember me on my birthday in private, then that’s nice, but don’t make it awkward by putting it on social media to get people to comment on it.

People sharing anything and everything.
I give new friends on Facebook one week to determine if I will see their posts. If they are sharing a ridiculous amount of things - cats waterskiing, those silly quiz results and more misc crap no one cares about, then I’m done. I’ll stay friends with them, but I will see nothing.

I’m sounding harsh aren’t I?! :rotfl:

I hate the heavenly birthday ones too but I have one better.

My brother received "happy Birthday" wishes on his FB page two years after he died. And not in remembrance. Actual birthday wises. FB "friends" who were close enough to wish him a happy birthday but no close enough to know he had died.

Are they really posting it with an “N” at the end???
OK, that is funny. I made this post after reading one of those and did not even pay attention. Yes, they actually used IYKYN instead of IYKYK and I didn't even catch their ,mistake. I guess I must stand my my original post that I truly never do no Know. God catch 🤣

😉.... sorry but I couldn't resist! I'm surprised not many others caught on to it -it's one of those things as you get older those type mistakes seem more common. I'm always typing "now" when I mean "know"

This. I don’t view much social media but I do have a You Tube feed. It’s now populated with more AI generated garbage than it is with my subscription notifications. Clickbait is another thing that drives me mad and God help you if you look at one because it screws up your algorithms for weeks. So let’s go ahead and add algorithms that push uninvited content to the list of things I hate.
