Ivory Snow Flakes?

Is Ivory Snow Flakes available down in the US? We used to be able to purchase it up here, but I haven't seen it in a while.

It needs to be Ivory Snow Flakes. Anyone that does daycare/pre-school knows the fun slime it makes.

If it's available, where have you seen it?

I have not seen it in stores lately. I have read that you can just grate up a bar of Ivory and it works the same way.

Also I found it for purchase online but I didn't check that elusive ship to Canada!

I have seen a recipe using Borax and white glue(Borax is available at Target or Walmart around here.

If you use 1/2 glue and 1/2 starch you can make a silly putty type substance
cornstarch and water is really cool
google "how to make floam" and you'll find the borax recipe PP mentioned.

Thanks! I have the Magic Mud - cornstarch and water. I also have the Borax and glue one.

I did know you could grate the Ivory Soap, but wanted an easier way if they still sell the Ivory Snow Soap Flakes.

I guess I will keep my eye out for a deal on the soap and then grate it.

You can grate bars, it does work the same. I've done it.

is very nice.. (I got the recipe on cooks.com)

1/2 applesauce and 1/2 cinnamon makes a really nice dough. Use cookie cutters and let it air dry. Very nice hanging ornaments. You can decorate them w/fabric paint if you'd like.

That can't be right! I know I had it when I did my practicum for my ECE (Early Childhood Education). That was a while ago, but definately not 1978 as I was a child in 1978.
