Around $3.60 in my town, a little less in neighboring towns ($3.49-$3.59).
Off topic a little, I want to share my story about DD17 filling up our mini-van. Friday morning she texts me that the van doesn't have gas. I reply not to drive it after school and I would get money from the ATM.
DH and I get home Friday night and she and the van are gone. So I call her and ask where she is. Oh, friend needed a ride to work. After a back and forth about me telling her not to drive the van and her reply that her friend really needed the ride, I lost it and yelled at her to get home.
I had already said she could drive Friday night and since I wanted some quiet in the house I told her she could still go. I gave her $35 for gas. Roughly that would last 150 miles. I also gave her $5 for a school play she was going to see in a town about 15 miles from us.
She goes to the play and back to our town. She drives a little on Saturday but not more than 10 miles. Sunday morning she tells DH that she has no gas. Again I was pissed. I told her she needed to put her own money in the tank and if she drove friends around they could contribute. She tried to tell me she put the whole $35 in the tank. When I explained to her there was no way she was telling the truth, she shut up.
I ended the conversation telling her if she ran out of gas during the week she could take the bus to school. If she drove the car and ran out of gas somewhere so we had to bring her gas, she wasn't driving the van for the rest of the year.
She does work but our agreement was we would give her $20 per week for gas since that is what I save by not parking the van at the train station.
I know I was grumpy this weekend anyway but I think DD is trying to drive me insane one conversation at a time.
