I've discovered that after you do all that waiting...

You wait for the offer to be accepted,
ROFR,
estoppel,
closing documents,
closing,
deed recording,
membership number,
and points that you can spend.

I finally got points that I can use at 11 months, but I am missing a few days. So I am on the waitlist. And if that doesn't work I will have to wait for the 7 month window.

Wait, wait, wait. And that is so not my strong point.

I would take all that waiting, if I didn't need to wait for my wife to get ready all the time.

You've waited this long, and then it just gets easier . When we bought our first contract, it took three months or longer before we could book anything and then we had to split resorts and waitlist, but the trips after that were happily booked at 11 months in advance with very little waiting...well, except that waiting 11 months for a trip is a long time .
