I have decided that when I weigh in on Mon there is just too much pressure. The only time I cheat is on weekends. I feel so guilty on Mon that I've come close to sabatoging the whole process. So I switched my weigh in to Fri. I always do much better at work all week, and then coming home and having dinner and checking homework, than Sat out to dinners and soccer games( how can I drink too much water with no place to go potty??/) So I weighed in today and I've lost 18.5 pounds and 6.5 total inches. VERRY excited!! Each goal I've set I have accomplished which is pretty cool too. Week one...no cheating, week two 100 oz of water every day, this was week three and my goal was to walk the 1.2 miles to the mailbox every day. i've only got today to finish that goal. So I will have walked 6 miles this week. next weeks goal ( which really starts mon because i do take off the exercise on the weekends) is to do 20 sit ups every night. I haven't done sit-ups since high school (15 yrs ago) Thanks for all of the great responses everyone has given me, and for all of the wonderful inspiring stories everyone has shared!!!:grouphug: ONWARD AND DOWNWARD:goodvibes

What wonderful goals! I think I'll have to start setting concrete goals like yours. It's so much better than "I'll lose 10lb by November" as we have so little control over our rate of loss.

Do you keep on with the old goals while you're doing the new ones or just replace them altogether?

Congratulations on your successes! Re-thinking our strategy is never bad. Flexiblily to do whatever is necessary is essential as we endeavor along our lifepaths. You are doing great!

Keep the Faith!

HI!! I keep each weeks goals going..so starting this Mon I'll drink 100 oz of h2o, come home from work and walk the 1.2 miles to get the mail and then do situps. Realistically I'll walk, have dinner, check homework, get baths ready, read stories, tuck those wonderful bodies in, smile 'cause their asleep, then do the situps, then laundry, lunches for the next day, clothes out...We moms all work so much at just beeing moms don't we?? I know if either of my kids ever needed something I could easily take "just 15 more minutes" out of the schedule for them. SO I've promised myself to keep doing these things for myself too. Time is manipulative. Funny thing is I feel so much more in control of my life now, and am wondering what the next accomplishment will be. Vastly improving from my " I wish I could do that, or I don't have the time." I have a girlfriend who is dieting with me and she is doing WW, she is not having the success that I am. I keep encouraging her to drink lots of water and to start exercising. It's a totally different position than I ever have been in before. Usually it's all my thin friends talking about weight, and me just sitting there feeling miserable and eating. I really never ever want to be that way again. I'm so glad that all of us are doing this for ourselves!!!!!!!

Great plan. I also like how you have set concrete goals. Thank-you for sharing, I think I need to write some down on a list so that I can cross them off each day. Really good idea!:D
