Dreams Unlimited got me a real good price on Animal Kingdom Lodge that I'm gonna stay here for the last 3 nights of my stay when I go for DISCon. I've got a Savannah View Room....yayyyyyyy

LOL! Well I must admit, out of all the Deluxes, AKL does seem to always have the best discounts - I guess it's location makes it a little less popular than the likes of the Poly, GF or even WL. Too many nice things...having to choose between re-doing something I loved, or trying something new that I might love more...curse WDW!

That's great news and what a coincidence as we are also considering spending the last few days of our stay at AKL if I can get a good rate. At the moment, only the DC rates are out, and it's still $60 more per night than the Dolphin, but I'm going to look out for some codes which should appear around October and hopefully they will be lower.

DD Sam REALLY wants to stay at AKL as she is mad about animals, but I'm not sure about myself, as I do like a view of the water, but I guess it would be more adventurous to stay somewhere different though I have heard the rooms are quite dark but I suppose that adds to the African atmosphere. We will wait and see what prices come up on the codes and take it from there!

Have you tried Dreams they got me the Annual Pass rate for AKL and it's only $30 more (incl tax) than the Swan a night and that's for a savannah room !

It wouldn't hurt to get a quote from them

Thanks for the advice, but we won't have Annual Passes. The original plan was to buy them, but then I managed to get the 10 Day tickets at a really low price from Virgin Holidays.

I'm pretty sure there will be some new codes out end of this month, beginning of October to cover the period we will be at WDW, so I'm going to keep my eyes open and wait and see!

I'm still not 100% convinced about staying there, as I do love the view of the lake at the Dolphin, I guess it's a case of 'you don't know if you don't try it!' LOL!!
