I've been watching too many....

I have yet to watch any this year and I feel as if I am behind. I have intended to sit down and watch some like every night since December began but I have either been doing something else or just too tired and just went to bed.

I make it a weekend activity for me! I switch between Lifetime, Hallmark and Up. I usually start out trash talking the movie at the beginning than rooting for the characters by the end, it's a love/hate thing.

The only Christmas I really couldn't stand this year so far an Alicia Witt one "I'm not ready for Christmas"

I will have to check out UP on our cable channels. I have caught several from ABCFamily, like The Santa Clause, Elf and Fred Claus. I haven't seen any listing for While you were Sleeping so I'll have to break out my DVD of that one along with When Harry Met Sally because they always make me think of Christmas even though they are not truly Christmas movies per se.

Oooh I am totally addicted to the Christmas movies. I see I am opposite others, as I find the Candace Cameron ones really annoying. Her voice irritates me and the character she plays is always awful. Still watch them though.

I just watched Karen Kingsbury's The Bridge yesterday and I was very doubtful of how they would wrap it up when there were only 10 minutes left. To be continued... NEXT CHRISTMAS? Argh!

If anyone else watched this - did you catch one of the characters holding her book in it? :)

I miss my Christmas movies! We dropped cable about 8 months ago and that's one on the channels that I miss.

I am so glad I read this thread before I watched "The Bridge". No way do I want to watch half -- and of course they will run it again next year, so I'll wait to watch the whole thing at once. I've added some of the Lifetime movies, and I agree they do seem to generally have better plots and acting. Although I watched a really old one with Sarah Paulson and Eric Mabius, and I kept thinking she didn't deserve to make it home in time to marry her groom because she should have put her wedding first in the first place if she wanted it a certain way...but of course it all worked out in the end :santa:

Next up is the Mariah Carey movie. I guess there's no chance she'll just sing :rolleyes1

I skipped The Bridge, too. So glad I read about it on here first.

I skipped past the posts here talking about The Bridge, as I didn't want to read details about it, until I've seen the movie. )I figured I could go back & read them later.) Now I wish I hadn't skipped them. :headache: Had I known ahead of time that The Bridge was going to be a two-parter, I wouldn't have given up the coveted time slot on my DVR that only records two shows at the same time. :badpc: I would have recorded whatever movie was premiering on Lifetime or the regular Hallmark Channel instead, along with the ION movie I was recording, (as the ION movie will not repeat until their Christmas Eve marathon.)

It really irked me that Hallmark gave NO warning about it being a two-parter or that their commercials about re-airing the The Bridge have NOT been altered to reflect that the movie is a two-parter. According to this article, apparently a LOT of other viewers felt the same way, and posted their complaints onto Hallmark's Facebook page. Hallmark actually posted back an apology. But, I don't think there is a response yet as to whether they will move up the air date of Part 2.

I took a chance and taped Dashing Through the Snow last night, also on HMM. (I was at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular instead.) That one had better not be a two-parter too, or I will jettison the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel off my TV lineup. :badpc:

I liked the movie Signed, Sealed & Delivered For Christmas. I vaguely knew that it is based on a Hallmark TV series and that there are ongoing relationships/friendships between the characters and that I would probably miss a lot of the references to already established stuff. And I was right. If you are new to watching them, you have to watch the movie a couple of times to get the relationship/friendship stuff that was missed the first time, that people watching the series already know about.

But, now I'm interested in going back and watching the whole series of 10 episodes. popcorn:: That will probably be the first series I will binge watch once I am done with all the Christmas movies. :santa: :thumbsup2

According to Hallmark's schedule, their Countdown to Valentines Day movies won't start till Jan 31, then it's full marathons each day of romance movies through Feb 14. http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/valentines-day/countdown-to-valentines-day-schedule

And ION has one totally new Valentine's movie premiering:

Dashing wasn't a two parter so you're safe!

Just saw a commercial on Hallmark that The Bridge, Part 2 will be aired in March 2016 "due to popular demand". Originally, it aired Part 1 saying watch for Part 2 in December 2016. Just wanted to share this info for anyone interested.
