Tonight I checked to see how much an AP costs. It's $515 for an annual pass and it's $223 for a park hopping 7 day pass. I made two trips last year, I had a 4 day and I believe a 5 day pass. Combined I could have purchased an annual pass. What are the perks of annual passes? Do you frequently get room discounts, or is that only once in a blue moon?

::MickeyMo We purchased an AP (finally) after making more than 1 trip per year. We've definitely saved! It was about $1100 for both adult AP's. Our tickets for the time we stayed would have come to about $600 for both of us. We saved approximately $400 on our room and $300 on food because we purchased the DDE card. For our upcoming trip in January, we saved about $300 on the room and expect to save about $250 on food. The amounts we saved also do not include what we saved on tours and boat rentals. It's definitely paid for itself! ::MinnieMo

The AP room discounts have underwent major changes recently. They must be booked online via Best Rate Program at least 60 days out from arrival, of course amount of rooms are limited and others say prices are not as good as call in rates (this is our first year with AP's). We did not get the premuim passes as we rarely due waterparks and ours were $421. We saved over $400 on our hotel (POFQ) alone thru BRP, so one of our adult passes has already paid for itself. You also can get 10% discount on some TS resturaunts with the AP, select merchandise discounts in DTD, and can purchase a Disney Dining Experience card for $50. The DDE card will get you 20% off at most TS resturaunts for up to 10 people, good for 1 year. Even with just 2 of us, and my projected food budget the card will save us over $100. We usually only to go WDW once a year in Sept for at least 10 days, but this year we swapped to Dec, so when we go back next year our AP's will more than enough pay for ithemselves.
