C.Ann I have nothing but pain in my heart after reading this. I am so sorry for all you and your dd are going through. I went through a similar situation years ago(dealing with a friends family etc)and I can feel your pain. Please know we are all here for you and know that in time your pain will lessen-it will never go away but at some point it will become tolerable.

I don't have a weight problem in my family but my husband does smoke. I'm scared to death I will lose him early. His dad passed away with lung cancer at 62, way too early!

C.Ann. words cannot express how I feel right now. I have been following your post day in an day out hoping and praying that whatever God's will let it be done. Although sometimes his will can cause us to weep, I hope you and your daughter take comfort in knowing God will put no more on us than we can bear.

God know's your feeling hurt and angry due to the treatment your daughter received while trying to do the right thing by her friend. God knows your daughter has a good heart and what she wanted to accomplish.
God knows the hurt that was inflicted upon her for trying to do the right thing.
ONE thing I realized about the folks here on the DiS is, although some of us don't agree with one another about certain issues, when it comes to protecting our children we'll go above and beyond to protect them no matter what. Even when we really have no control over things which happen in life, we still want to shield our babies(no matter how old they are) and make the hurt and pain go away. As parents we can only do so much but GOD can and will move mountains for us and protect us because afterall he is our HEAVENLY FATHER

As far as her friend's family people like that you really have to pray about. I know it's hard believe me I could write a book about how hard it is to pray for people who has hurt you or your children, but in order to keep from losing your sanity and blessings, you have to let God handle it. It's not going to be easy, but they are not worth you or your daughter joining them in their misery.

She is one of GOD'S precious angels now. No more pain or suffering. No more tears or unhappiness. Just pure joy of being with the HEAVENLY FATHER is something we should all want when our time come.

Iminent death and death itself can make good people behave badly and bad people behave worse. Your daughter has her emotions right there in her sleeve and people will stomp all over them. When my mom passed away everybody came out of the woodwork, people who I thought loved her and decided that during the funeral process was the time to tell her children what they really thought of her. She was overweight and an alcoholic, but she was my mom and they let out every feeling they had. I chalk it up to their own emotions being out of whack like mine were. We are not close, but I am cordial when I see them now. I hope your daughter can focus on saying goodbye to her friend in whatever way she can.

I'm so sorry to hear how it all ended. Your daughter and her friend will be in my prayers. I know your daughter has been through some very rough times of her own lately, and she certainly didn't need this insanity. All you can do is be there for your daughter and encourage her to get whatever help is needed. Sending you a big hug too because as a mom, I know we hurt when our kids hurt.
