It's Tuesday Night and American Idol

Anyone else find themselves anxiously awaiting Tuesdays so they can watch American Idol? I've been happy all day just knowing it's on!

Yes, it is embarrassing but I DO look forward to AI each week! I never watched one episode last season...what has gotten into me?

Excuse me now, it is getting close to 8:00, I need to have everything in order for an uninterrupted (yeah, right, I have two kids and a husband) show!

I really enjoyed both Josh & Kimberley Locke.

I'm also a Ruben fan but I'm glad someone finally addressed the fact that he does basically the same thing every week. Before he came out I said to DD that as he begins to sing he's going to give a big smile to the audience and reach out a hand.....and he did!

Yup, Carmen was *very* weak. She's awfully cute, and I think her talent will mature as she does, but she's not ready yet.

Kimberly C- The song didn't suit her. She seems very contrived and fake, somehow.

Kimberly Locke- a *great* performance from her! The song (New York State of Mind) really suited her. She was ON tonight.

Trenyce isn't really doing it for me. She has a good voice, but she seems like a cabaret or hotel lounge act. She works way too hard at being sultry.

Ruben - he's cute and happy, and the audience responds so strongly to his presence.

Josh - did himself proud with "Piano Man". He did a nice job breaking from his country-tinged performances.

Never been a Kimberly L fan, but she looked, and sounded, super tonight.

Kim C, not so great.

One of Josh's best and so glad he chose Piano Man. I like the way he thought out his song choice.

Ruben was great, as always, but glad that they mentioned taking a chance on a new style.

Carmen.....time to go.

Trenyce has never been my favorite, nothing bad, just nothing great for me.

I was very nervous wondering what Clay could do of Billy Joel's. I thought he was excellent and departed from his usual.

My pick for bottom 2 Carmen and Kimberly C (and Kim C was a big fav of mine)

I love Tuesdays! I'm so much more into this show this time around than the first series.

Kimberley Locke - that girl can SANNNGGG! LOL She was EXCELLENT tonight, and deserves to be the #1 performer of the week. This is one week I'd be EXTRA P.O.'d to see her in the bottom 3 - it would be so unfair.

Clay and Ruben remain my faves, but fair is fair. Kim L. smoked 'em!

Okay, I missed Kimberly C and Rubin! From the clips at the end, it seemed that Kimberly C did pretty lousy (I don't mind that I missed her), and Rubin was, well... Rubin (I wish I had seen him tonight, He is one of my favorites). What was said to him about changing his style, and who said it?
I was beginning to get a little bored with Clay, but he was great tonight. I also thought Trenyce was very good, Kimberly L and Josh just a little below them. I think Carmen or Kim C will go this week.

Clay is back! So happy to hear him sing something up tempo. Knew he could do it!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who looks forward to Tuesdays!

I love that all of the girls are getting hair extensions now. I'm such a trendsetter

I was amazed that Ruben was actually criticized tonight. Is that the first time he's gotten anything but praise from the judges? I'm not sure.

KLocke was so beautiful tonight! She sounded great, too.

Kim C seems to be stretching her voice a little more, I thought tonight was one of her better performances- much better than last week.

Carmen the Goat- What the heck was she wearing? She wasn't as bad as usual, but her delivery was so boring- she just stood there! I wanted to kiss Simon for his comment about telling her to shut up. That was really, really mean, but I loved it.

Josh- I thought he was great tonight. I think he's finding a balance between his country and non-country voices.

Trenyce- I thought she was good, but not fantastic.

Clay- Oh my. I heard from one of his friends that he was doing up tempo tonight, but I still wasn't prepared for him to be that good! I have such a crush, its pathetic
